Rodriguez is a good sign for Porto, but that would mean that Quaresma is leaving...
Looks like Rui Costa is starting to fail...:))

Obviously Rodriguez or his agent had struck a deal with Porto a long time ago, maybe he was only waiting for the Champions League matter to be resolved.

Then, the way to go to Porto is to ask an insane amount of money from Benfica, Benfica refuses and there you go, he pretends that's the reason why he's going to Porto.

According to Benfica sources he made a lot of last minute demands, obviously knowing Benfica would say no.

Not long ago this mercenary said "In Portugal I'll only play for Benfica"...

Good ridance...

Football is filled with mercenaries.

I learned that a long time ago. All I want is that as long is they are at the club they give their best.

Love for the shirt is, unfortunaly, a thing of the past. :|

Jorge Costa, Rui Costa, Baia... oh well, it's a handfull maybe.
If someones comes around and gives twice for Lucho, he will leave, but at least he always gave is best when wearing the shirt.

What a loser, never liked him that much. Stupid south americans only play for the glory and the money never for the shirt or for the sport, if he wants to leave then just go away, hope you have Derleis fate you worthless mercenary.

Well lets say, been in porto (his best years), been to benfica (worst then 0), been to sporting (even worst, injured almost full season, then just comes to the matches to get cards and try to wrestle with the refs), you think that is a good career?

Yeah, its going to be an important week for us. Rui Costa is going to have to finish the deal with Aimar, continue the negotiations with Real for Codina and Trying to get us miccoli back home.

i'm happy that we signed a portuguese player with great potential. on the other hand i'm suspicious about his attitude, hope that he has changed or that he'll change during his stay at benfica but i think he'll good addition to our squad.
hope time doesn't proove me wrong

No, he won't, unfortunately. Palermo's president basically gave Benfica the finger. :((

God, I miss that little guy so much! He was one of the best FW we've had in recent years; so dedicated, so intense. The fans just loved him! His name echoed throughout the entire stadium ("Mi-Mi-Miccoli! Mi-Mi-Miccoli!Mi-Mi-Miccoli!" :applaud:).

Oh well... it's a shame.

Yup, that's pretty much a confirmed transfer... Well, almost. :LOL:

I'm curious to see what Aimar can actually bring. He's not the same he was 3 or 4 years ago.

Di Stefano is not really his uncle, just his baptism's godfather.

zaragoza are trying to make as much money as they can and noone can blame them for that
benfica doesn't have more money so i don't know if we'll be buy him
what i know is that the press knows nothing about and unless i see the officila confirmation of the transfer i won't believe in it

It seems pretty obvious to me that Aimar will not sign for Benfica.

It's been far too long, and these deals don't usually take this amount of time to be made.

And if he actually goes to Porto... Well, I just stopped caring.

Zaragoza are simply trying to 'milk the cow', and, honestly, I don't think Aimar is worth the 8 million euros.

Why bother and spend so much money on a player that has made just a couple of good games last season? Benfica should focus on other more important things and aim at other players (is Aimar the only good OMF in the world?!). What about right back defenders? What about a good FW?

Benfica is wasting precious time...

You're right mate. Benfica is wasting precious time with Aimar. Wake up Rui Costa! Aimar will never be a Benfica player! Instead of wasting your time with that guy you should go to Brazil and catch the Fluminense young talents Thiago Silva and Thiago Neves, and I think they are cheaper than Aimar.
I remember Simão deal: 20M€ + 2 players. Where they are? Rui Costa should go there and bring Seitaridis and Luis Garcia.
