Yea, I looked at that mag deal the other day - but it looks like the first issue of the sub is Feb 08 and it bothers me that I dont know if the game will arrive now or in Feb!

A lad in my work has done that deal and he's getting his at the end of November. Feb 08 was only if you chose it as a gift subscription or something.

My current peno record is shocking, I was hoping I wouldn't have to take one!

We should now start recording the stats in here, ratings on every player we control and all that gubbins

Player ratings are nonsense though, guaranteed an 8 just for scoring.

That all sounds like a good idea. Where is this chat box Coopz is talking about? I will probably be on tonight. That's the nice thing about being 5 hours behind. I can get on in the afternoon with you guys and still hang with the wife later.
I think our team is definitely getting better together. We might need to try to stick to the same roles for now so we can get to know each other playing styles better. I need some advice though. I've had a few open headers and my guy tries to control it instead of heading it. What can I do to make him head it? I don't have that problem against the cpu, but I guess I am never that open against the CPU either.

Yep. So anyone who plays up front regularly will have higher scores. Defenders never seem to ever get an eight or higher either (I'm assuming because they don't see as much of the ball).

We should keep track of assists too, I'd like to see how I fare against Joe :)

I got the assist to Paul for the Arsenal goal :)

Move to England ;)

I think it's a lag thing. There were a few times last night when I pressed shoot and he kept running etc. Just the game reacting slow to button presses.

I'm happy to keep the right midfield slot in our team if that's okay?

Maybe it's a lag thing. But the game runs pretty smooth. Except last night it did get a little herky jerky at times. I guess I'll figure it out. That's cool with me if you want to be right midfield. I think I need to be in the midfield too. Either CAM, CM, or CDM.

The game does run smooth, you're right. It's pretty impressive how smooth it runs I reckon.

I hope the mic issue is sorted, it'll be much easier to tell players where you're running to etc. Me and Bitter have some good discussions but it'd be cool if the whole team could be involved.

For some reason i thought its some latin name and pronounced it "beekaness". Hehe.

Am i doing ok with striker role? I don't score much though but i play more like a post player.

We've missed your forward presence up front Lami. Once we get to know the teams, you'll get used to which players are the RS or LS, then you can choose the best player for your style.

At the moment it's just lucky dips when you choose a position in the middle. Bitter had to take a lucky guess at Micah Richards playing either left or right DC. It'd be good if it gave you the team and you picked a specific player on the team as opposed to just a position.

Yeah, they need to change that for next year or maybe in an update (doubtful).

Yeah they need to fix the mic issue so we can communicate. I hear Bitter and that's it on our team.

True, true. Well i played in many positions really. I think i've played in every position except CB. I think i was ok playing as a post player. Well the best player i liked was Rocchi of Lazio. I played well using him.

Yes i guess i will man :) I enjoy playing as a post player so i can feed wingers with passes then make a run into the box along with others. If i do find enough space i'd try shooting.

I think that's why I enjoy playing with Lami, he supplies some cracking passes into the channels for me to try and get a cross in.

Since I've changed my crossing to semi, I've hardly had any chances to cross it :( But when I have, they've been much better crosses and resulted in goals.

Lost my corner-assist run last night too. Had two successive corners result in goals, Becanes just scuffing a header slightly or it would've been a hat-trick hehe :)

i am just imagining 10 v 10, that would be mental with everyone having 100% control and being able to create space with cunning runs, and provide good positional/marking skills

will be a proper 1v1 in each position game where it is vital you out play your opponent, to come out on top collectively as a team

i don't trust the cpu at all , so more players the better

The CPU is shite sometimes, dallying on the ball at the worst of times (usually defence resulting in Coopz tackling and going clear on goal). 10v10 will be excellent if you get 20 good team-players. We can't get 10 on a regular basis yet hehe.

with 10 v 10 we cld just mix teams and destroy randoms

Scores, Scorers and Assists should be noted

Assists should be direct assists as well not rebounds or the ones where your team mate controls it runs into a defender it bobbles through and he scores

Ratings and MoTM are to random to note
