Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Bobbys got Cocks and stuff on the brain lately

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Cheers Jay.

I want Radiation's tag then.

Yana, you need to get BF too.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Dogtags Collected 146

I need to add Jonnys and Dags to that list

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Me, Radiation and Jonney are PS3. Everyone else is 360.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I knifed 8 people in one round yesterday - it was on Ascension at the 2nd group of crates - I'd already got a few knifes at the first 2 crates and then after we took them out i ran up the left hand side of the map to the next crates, came around the back... ran up the stairs and knifed 4 people defending and shooting out of the windows... planted all of my C4 and then the charge... as each guy came running up to disarm i jumped over the balcony looking down onto the stairs and knifed them and then ran back up. Just before the charge was set to blow i detonated my C4 getting some points for damage and then it blew and i got extra points.

Also found an easy way to take out crates - pick demolition - throw all of your anti tank mines onto the crate... run away a little... launch 2-3 rockets at the crate (the first will detonate the mines causing massive damage) and it should blow on the 2nd/3rd rocket.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Any tips from you guys to get points for different classes?

For example I didn't know you get points for causing damage?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Off the top of my head...

General points you can earn
* Damaging the gold crates.
* Killing the enemy - also includes all vehicles, turrets, AA guns and so on AS LONG AS THEY ARE MANNED.
* If you and a team mate both shoot the same person (doesn't have to be at the same time and as long as they don't refill their life) you both get 'assist kill' points.
* Killing someone who is about to kill your teamamate (by shooting them) gives you 'saviour' points.
* If someone kills you and you respawn and kill them before you kill anyone else (i think) you get 'revenge' points

Support Class
* Healing team mates with medi packs gives you points.
* Repairing vehicles when they are manned gives you points (you can also use this tool to damage enemy vehicles when they are manned but watch they don't bail and knife you).

I think that's about it.

Upgrade wise and extra tools wise
Support has the mortar strike which is awesome

Recon has the air to land missile for taking out tanks/vehicles/turrets etc

Specialist has the C4 which is great for destroying crates, laying traps for where the enemy might run towards the gold and also gives you 1 hit kills on all vehicles. Warning there is a slight delay between pressing detonate and the C4 blowing!

AAAAAAnd.... phew... the tracer gun which fires a becon onto any vehicle you fire it at and enables any demolition to lock on rockets. This doesn't have a good range so you have to get in pretty close or aim above the vehicle so it drops down onto it.

Demolition has the anti tank mines (they wont destroy your own teams tanks)

Assault has life 2 (inject yourself to refill your life gauge)

You are a credit to Evo Web Radiation :DD

I'm not taking the piss either - You are always so helpful. Good Man - Keep up the good work!!

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Cheers for the tips, Radiation :TU: The first time I killed you, I just seen you legging it towards me, I thought "HE WANTS MY TAG!" and rather than duke it out with knives, I thought I'd just blast you instead  We shall duel soon enough though ;))

Well, demolition rocks too. Just for the rocket launcher, those tanks are a bugger!

I really do love sniping, just unlocked that last gadget which does laser bombs or something? Shame it doesn't have as many weapons as COD4, nor more incentive to get the next rank.

The game is like crack though. "Just one more turn, I'll turn it off when I die ..." "Sod it, one more ..."

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

dags i couldn't stay in that game for a second longer some nobber "hunter8678" kept team killing me every time i jumped on the artillery gun. i sent him a message saying " what the fuck was that for you twat ? piss off and leave me alone " and he took it the wrong way and started killing me more.

add to that our team just had no idea they were to protect the gold and i have a joypad ready to throw across the room (not that i would with these prices )

-

Helpful?

i can't think of anything else ive done - but i hate asking questions and never getting an answer so i always try to help anyone i can if i can

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I never came across any team killers fortunately!

Gotta say I really enjoyed last night. Apart from blasting some people and them not dying, the perks, and the wait time between spawning (way too long), I do agree it's better than COD4.

You know I'll sell it in a week though ;))

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I need to start taking the crates out with Mines and C4

i always just run in and arm the bomb

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I found it was handy being demolition and firing the rocket launcher at the crates too.

I'm looking forward to getting online with it again tonight.

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

I've taken the crate out a few other ways other than planting the charge...

* Running miles away as a sniper and then calling in missile and hitting the crate (by aiming at anything near the crate like a vehicle or turret) and sniping the crate with my rifle (does a small amount of damage but helps)
* Mines and rockets combo
* C4 (though it takes 2 full lots of C4 to fully destroy it in 1)
* Tank shells (light tank shells are the quickest and best imo - the regular tanks are just too slow at firing to bother with)
* Boat grenade launcher
* Shooting it and hell even knifing it when im on low ammo and the crates on low health - about 3-5 knives does as much damage as one assault GL round.

On Final Ignition there is nice spot where you can take a crate out in about 10 seconds of firing grenades at it. I've managed to get tons of knife kills there a swell as defenders run up the ladder and i chop them as they come up (which is also a great tactic any time you're up a ladder and know an enemy is coming)

It's the 2 crates before this image
http://pnmedia.gamespy.com/planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/images/bfbc/final_ignition.jpg

If you run up the left side of the map you come to a building containing one crate, go past that and climb the ladder in front of you... up there kill anyone with a knife and then grab the grenade launcher and blast at the other crate in front of you... it takes about 2-3 waves of attack (pausing to allow the gun to cool down) but anyone near it will get killed as well.

While its cooling turn around and stab anyone coming up the ladder

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

How many maps have helicopters? I'm sure they're in BF?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

If I fire my weapon, do I show up on the radar?

Re: Battlefield : Bad Company

Cheers, which leads me to another point. When I play as a sniper, how come only sometimes it'll say "Dazimus: Enemy Spotted" and not everytime I see someone?

Maybe because they have been spotted by somebody before?
