I got a nice email from EA support today saying "Sorry its a punkbuster problem. We cant help you." Beautifully fobbing off work there.

different problem to mine then by the sounds of it.

Ive actually been able to connect to pb enabled servers tonight... but only upto 32 players.. 64 player maps and its an instant crash again..
im f*cking well confused now as to whats causing the problem, is it still pb
or is it back to being a Bf2 problem...
dohh my head hurts.

Had my first, proper good game tonight with Milanista. We played on a server playing only the dam level, but WHAT A LEVEL!


I love this game already!!!!!

I think I might have sorted my problem out finally (touch wood etc etc)
Ive managed to connect to 5 servers this morning and all have worked.
Im not counting me chickens yet though, as I thought I have figured my problem out 3 times before.
But basically I think all the things ive done topped off with opening a port on the router seems to have done the trick.
I bloody hope so like.... fingers crossed

Note - Anyone using any cracks to play the originals will encounter crashes. To play an original game WITHOUT CD, you need a mini image available at GCW.

Loving this. Just had one of the most amusing games with Noted!

I stabbed a guy, then revived him, then noted killed him, then i revived him, then i killed him, then revived again. He then tried to run by taking a chopper, but little did he know that Noted planted C4 on it :D Ofcourse we got booted from the server.

LMAO greatest moment ever in the game. Then Milanista threw a grwenade on a car full of 4 team mates. They all died LOL! :D :D

To be honest, I would be so mad if someone did that to me. Not funny at all.

Last night I wanted to play in a squad to get some teamwork, but the squadleader didnt gave us any orders. But I did pretty good anyways topping the standings on the server. After a while I was invited to another squad, and I thought "finally, some teamwork" but this squadleader was such a twat. I was requesting orders all the time, but he was only like "follow me" (the chat with Q) so I didnt follow him and did my own thing, and he shot me and another squadmember several times in the back, killing us like 3 times in 1 minute, so i asked wtf he was doing and he said "if you dont follow orders i shoot you". So switched to medic, shoot him, revived him, shoot him again and placed my self so he could see me while he was lying dead, and wrote that I wouldnt save him. Then I left the server

You guys still on for a game tonight? I've found some good ranked servers, GameSpot Gamecenter EURO servers. Good pings, but for some reason they only play Gulf of Oman which is a bit gay.

Anyways, I'll be on MSN or XFire all day so chat to me on there if you fancy a game!

Ranked servers are always stacked when I look for them. Especially at night, you can never get in. The ones that are free are always the American ones whch have higher ping for us Europeans.

Well it seems that Gameplay had a problem with me card and my order was cancelled. :O

Just when I get me CTD's sorted as well, but I been playin single player with a m8 against the bots for some praccy and gettin to know the maps time and it's been good fun, gonna go out and buy BF2 direct I think so I can join you guys for some fragging fun.

Edit:

Forgot to say, anyone who TK's on purpose is a complete knob, end of, if your gonna do it, don't be bothering me when I get on the servers, idiots.

Well there's about 4 Gamecenter 32 player servers, I had no problem getting into one. But if they're only gonna play Gulf of Oman then we try Jolt or EA UK servers, whichever really!

I'll probably be on from 9 to 11 CEST and maybe some after midnight. Jolt was a bit too laggy for me last time, but better some lag in a nice evo-squad than running around like headless chicken.

Tking is alright if you're doing it to someone you know and just messing about with them but it is nippy if some fucker just kills you for no reason. I have to admit if that happens I will probably seek revenge :twisted:

Anyway I'm hopefully still gonna be on tonight. I just need to get some coursework finished off first.

We did. But then after 2 hours of playing we got bored and began to screw around. We do buy games to enjoy ourselves dont we? :)

Yeah pretty good laugh, shame they had the rounds set to 3 for each map as it meant we only got to play 3/4.

Yeah that was a bit shitty, I've played on a few servers that do that. Have to try getting on a fucking ranked server. Think of the awards we would have won tonight! ;)

Can anyone tell me what files are in their pb folder in the battlefield2 directory?
Ive just been deleting some files in there and i just managed 7 minutes on a jolt server before a crash so i think im heading in the right direction.
