You guys know how in some games high pings dont matter much. eg a max of 200, is this the same for BF2 or is it like CS when u can feel the lag.

Thats completely different to mine !?
I just managed 24 minutes on a pb server then before a crash
and that was by deleting loads of files out of the pb folder
could you post us a screen of the files in htm and dll please?

There's only one file in dll named wc001128.dll

As for the htm folder...



I could send you a copy of the pb folder if you need it?

Had a great game tonight, and the server was quite good, for being english. Im used to ping around 5-10 on swedish servers, but this one was good.

Too bad we didnt play any city maps, those are my favorites. And next time we should name our squad Evo or something, so we can be a recognised force in some time.

The stats was weird too, one round I had 31 teamwork points, yet a guy with 8 won the teamwork award. And the last round I had -8 for teamwork, but i cant remember me teamkilling anyone. Atleast not that many, as I captured some flags and revived some people too.

Haha, good one.

I'm still a bit lost on the maps, but gg anyway. I think we should get our classes more organised.

Ah well. Hope the patch sorts things out for you mate. :)

Here's a link about a fix for ASE which lets you connect to servers from it.

It works, you click on connect via ASE, the game starts and you get to the login screen, you log in and click on connect to ip, instead of the ip you write bf2 and it connects. You can also do this while having bf2 running, and just alt-tab out to ASE.

So basically it's just saving you the bother of typing out the ip address. Hmmm. Roll on the patch.

Couldn't get it to work anyway, it said something about checking my network connections...

Hope the patch will allow ASE/XFire click-joining, EA are taking the piss with this crap.

My clan, KEA, is now recruiting if any of you fancy giving it a go. We're a nice bunch and should have a server up and running before too long.

Just played 2 hours on a non punkbuster server.... Very nice.. didnt rack up any ranking points though ...grrrrr
Bloody b4stards I hate f*cking the punkbuster pr1cks.
Reading other forums it seems there has been punkbuster problems conflicting with motherboard drivers way back to like rtcw.
Stupid pb g1ts should have figured it out by now.
Ive had an ongoing tech support query with them now for days and they aint got anywhere and I thought EA support were bad!.. dohhh
