Gerd and his top 10 lists
Top 10 strikers, Top 20 Keepers, Top 25 Left-Footed Right Wing Backs
(No offense Gerd, I love reading your posts. Just making a little fun

)
Just came here after watching the MOTD highlights. Just a couple of notes. I know the highlights don't represent the full 90 minute performance, but here it goes
Wilshere really had some defense-splitting passes. I think he has the vision to be a great midfielder. And definitely the passion to be a great footballer. He might not be the next Pirlo, but he has loads of talent.
I think Walcott has stepped up mentally. I was really reluctant and pessimistic about him because of the transfer saga, but I feel now he is ready to step up and be a leader on the field. He is not escaping from responsibility and taking his chances. That shows confidence and leadership that the team was lacking with the departure of RVP. I believe this is also the reason why he wants to play up front rather than on the wing, so that he can have more influence.
Giroud seems to be versatile player up front. I'm liking his style. I don't think he will ever be a goal-scoring machine, but to me he seems like the player that can bring lots more to the table than just goals. His aerial presence adds dimension to the attacking game. I've been watching the highlights on and off throughout the season and he always seems to be bringing down long passes, heading them on, etc. I think he also has a significant amount of assists. I think Podolski, Walcott, and him make as balanced and threatening as any trio of attackers in the EPL. Of course, a lot depends on their form, which says a lot as well.
I think Szczesny is a good goalie from what I've seen. But last game he seemed 'abysmal'. I think the amount of debate over him is a good sign of his capabilities. Good keeper, good potential, but lots to develop. I would prefer a more experienced and talented goalie and having Szczesny wait behind him. There were talks a couple of years ago about us signing Buffon when he was going off the radar due to his injuries. I wish it had happened.
About the defense. I think Rentboy said it perfect when he said "You gotta give it to them, they sure know how to f' it up." Vermaaleen's position was a clear penalty, as the ball touched both of his arms around 3 times. Mertesacker was making really accurate passes to the opposite attackers feet. Ramsey made an incredible backheel pass in the 1st goal

It was quite impressive. He was also involved in the Henderson goal, which made me think if he was playing as a DMF for the game?
Finally, the Henderson goal reminded me of a goal my hometeam conceded this season. One of the slowest and clumsiest defenders in our league went on to dribble the ball from the midfield line and cross 4 or 5 of our defenders to finally score against our goalkeeper in a Bizarre Messi-esque fashion. Also, the Henderson goal reminded me of one of Messi's goals against us and Almunia in the UCL couple of seasons back when we had the yellow jerseys.
