Arsenal Thread

I know it was an away game, I was just talking in general in terms of the difficulties arsenal have with big pitches. Man City's pitch is big.

We won at Man City for the past 3 seasons. The pitch is not the problem.

arsenal rocks. they attack well , but what i notice is their lack of composure. they attack TOO frantically , which from the past 2 games , hasnt proved to be a good tactic.

Arsenal look a pile of poo and their squad is shallower than the children's section of your local swimming pool. Can you rely on Thierry Henry for ANOTHER season?

This week will hopefully see the Reyes and Cashley sagas concluded, with hopefully both of the little scrotes being shown the exit door and having it shut firmly in their faces!

My only hope is that the money generated will allow le boss to strengthen our defence and midfield but with time running out its looking unlikely. I am sure our young players will be putting up a decent fight anyway but a title challenge seems a bit early for them this season.

Arsenal is rumored to make an offer of 25mil. euros for tevez.

Tevez can get out of his contract by the first team that offers 30 mil.

I doubt anybody but chelsea can/will pay that much for tevez.

He'd be an awesome player to have but if he came he would command a place in the first team, which would be at the expense of both Van Persie and Adebayor. What with Aliadiere, Lupoli, Bendtner and Walcott waiting in the wings for a call up to the first team squad and Wenger's previous comments about stunting the growth of his younger players, this would be a very odd move indeed.

It looks like lazy, semi-opportunistic journalism to me. "Tevez is in London for the Brazil vs Argentina match at the Emirates stadium, how can we sensationalise this story a bit? Arsenal want to buy him and unveil him before the game? Yeah, sounds good."

Yawn. I'll happily eat various parts of my body if this happens.

as I see and as I hear we'll get Tevez...we don't need it..but also we can't fuck off him.:D ..he is a genius...apeerantly Reyes is go to hell...

Yup, Reyes is close to Atletico Madrid.. £10mil, plus £3m for appearances.

I don't expect any signings tomorrow, and thus, i think we'll struggle a lot. We have the CL and Premiership to balance, and i think this is one of the thinnest squads since Wenger took over.

Sadly I agree.

I will disapointed if we do not get anybody in over the next two days.

Why the hell are we in for Tevez (if it is true?). We have plenty of attacking options (which I think will click into place soon).

We need back up in the form of a defender and solid midfielder (experienced ones) that maybe not can play a whole season but can help out when needed and provide a solid base for us to have a successful season.

our squad is not big enough - if we have a couple more injuries we are bummed. Imagine if toure got injured, I think we would struggle.

But I do think, although not winning the games at the moment, we are playing well and when the strikers and forwards get it right we will be sailing. But only if the injuries are kept to a bare minimum. and looking at the last couple of years it ain't likely to happen.

it can be good IMO..no problem..but in facet..(ı had said before)..we need a player like sneijder,Appiah...especially Sneijder...do u agree with me about this genius player...;)

Times is repoting both Macherano AND Tevez are joinin the gunners tomorrow, wtf did that come from? The Times isn't generally as bad as the other papers too, what a coup that would be! How are they going to adjust, they don't speak French!

Wow...as a real supporter i can't believe what the real management and capello are doing.

Reyes is needed for the left side(real has only robinho for the left, and capello looks like he wants to get rid of him), but giving up baptista is a bad deal.

Gunners fans will enjoy having baptista in their team, and i will too, since i watch all arsenal games anyway.

How unlucky were you lot at the weekend, any other day and im guessing you would have won easily!

I'm praying that isn't the case this season but am not so sure of it!

The reyes - baptista thing looks offcial by now.AS reported it today.

It's a 1 year deal, reyes to real, baptista to arsenal.
I don't think reyes will want to go back after that 1 year though.

I feel sorry for Reyes. He has all the talent in the world and on his day is one of the best left sided midfielders, if not the best in the world but he genuinely doesnt like it in the UK. Unlike Cashley, he has worked hard everytime he's worn the arsenal badge especially in the CL last year. Although it has only been 2 and a half seasons.... he's been one hell of a servant!!

Totally agree with you there. His time at Arsenal felt like a huge struggle. Its not like the player was lazy or anything, Arsenal just werent the team for him.
