senderous(who I dont think has proved himseld sufficiently to be honest)

I know, it's not as if he was involved in breaking the champions league clean sheet record or played 4 games in the world cup without his team conceding a goal or anything.

Yeah I know because switzerland had to play some really tough teams didnt they. I mean they must of been defending for their lives against Togo, south korea and ukraine. And of course drawing 0-0 with france... wow thats unbelievable how far senderous took his country. And its not like senderous is responsible for losing out against big players like Beattie and Drogba in the premiership.

You can't even spell Senderos right you stupid dickhead.

If your not ready to put forth an constructive argument and instead want to resort to childish school yard banter because you cant handle criticism about your team, shut the hell up and dont bother post. Plus I'm not use to spelling foreign players name. I'm not swiss. Maybe if Arsenal invested in some english players there wouldnt be difficulty getting familar with names and such

Well he must have a soft spot for arsenal or something, because I dont know what kind of United fan would get irritated at someone misspelling an arsenal scum players name such as senderos. Plus who cares about players name misspelled since you know who Im talking about. Its just stupid fans like to be anal sometimes and want to get one over to satisfy their little egos by picking up on something silly such as an spelling error.

You seem to have a real chip on your shoulder mate. Chill out, relax, and enjoy life. There's no need to be so angry all the time.

Well chaps, its the first day of a new era tomorrow and I for one can't wait. I really hope we open the stadium with a win and some goals, lets start as we mean to go on eh? I predict a stonking 4-1 home win with goals from Henryx2, RVP and Cesc to finish it off. Come on you reds!!

!!

No I dont have a chip on my shoulder, Neither am I angry. I just dont see why I should be insulted for a spelling mistake and I have every right to defend myself when someone says something rude and out of context to an argument. Otherwise they'll think they can speak to people in whatever way they desire. Other times Im fairly relaxed and chilled out and like a joke, so dont get me wrong.

Cuntly Cunt is out of tomorrows game! I wonder if that kid who got boots off Ashley will be throwing them back in his face? :D

Cole omitted from Arsenal squad

Arsenal defender Ashley Cole has been omitted from the Gunners' squad for the Premiership opener against Aston Villa despite saying he is available to play.
The 25-year-old has repeatedly been linked with a move to Chelsea, but no deal has been concluded.

Cole said on www.stellargroup.co.uk that he was available for Saturday's game at the Emirates Stadium.

He added: "I maintain I have no problem with the fans and the manager. They've been very supportive of me."

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger previously hinted at leaving Cole out because of the speculation about a possible £20m transfer to Chelsea.

Wenger said he would happy to keep Cole at Arsenal should the player choose to stay.

"If he doesn't go, of course he's a great player," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online.

"He has permission to go somewhere if he wants to do it, but if there is not an opportunity for him and the club, he will stay at the club."

Cole has been at odds with Arsenal since June 2005 when he was fined for meeting with Chelsea representatives, that included Blues boss Jose Mourinho, without his club's knowledge.

The England left-back's relationship with Arsenal became strained and in promotional material for his new book the defender criticised the club for making him a "scapegoat" over the tapping-up affair.

He said on www.stellargroup.co.uk: "I hope the fans understand where my grievances lie."

Last week, Wenger, like his Chelsea counterpart Jose Mourinho, said he wanted the saga resolved within the week.

Cole played in last season's Champions League final and was an ever-present at the World Cup for his country.

Bye bye you wanker!!!!!!!

Ashley Cole

He'll no doubt realise where ours lie!

And thats the problem, he is completely out of touch with how WE feel. Prick. I really wish we could offload him, with him around its like we are unable to get rid of a bad smell.

Villa deserved their point on Sat, even if they rode their luck on more than 1 occasion! Theo completely changed the game when he came on, he looks a talent. He was direct, has quick feet and something seemed to happen everytime he touched the ball. A very promising debut.

Henry and Freddie were quite obviously not fit so why play them? Thierry did nothing really, it would have been better imo to have played RVP and Adebayor up top, remember how they played in Zagreb? Why break that up?

All in all it was 2 points dropped but I still feeling encouraged certain aspects of the performance.

Stadium looks so weird, its like we're playing in an FA cup final or something. Gonna take a while to get used to..

I was suprised just how much wider and longer the new pitch is, considering how highbury suited arsenals narrow playing style teams might get a lot more from the gooners at home this season.

Nah can't see it. It will take some getting used to but Wenger specified the pitch dimensions himself. I think it will give us more room to play our expansive passing game. It will take time to get used to though.

Yeah I agree, Arsenals quick passing will only benefit from open spaces once they get used to it. Think it'll be a good season for the gunners.

My question: If henry is ionly 60% fit, then why play him? I hate when players come out and say that stuff, its basically like everyone else you're so crap that even at half my potential I should play, and then I'll moan about it afterwards. Show up or sit down, Mr. Henry...

Well I think it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can be as deadly at this new stadium as they were at highbury, when the pitch was narrow and easy for the players to pass the ball from one end to the next like ping pong. I recall the time when Arsenal had Wembley as their home venue for the season in the champions league and they got raped everytime they played there because they couldnt get used to the size of the pitch.

True really...

I guess it was a gamble. If Henry had scored in the first half Wenger would have probably subbed him for Van P and there would be no complaints. Alas it wasn't to be.

Personally I think a wider pitch suits this Arsenal side. The games we lost last season were when we got bullied by a packed midfield. Maybe more space will offer more room for manoeuver. Also, how noisy was the Emirates on Saturday? I guess it was the first game of the season but I was impressed by the support levels. Hope it stays that way.

Yup, the Kiev and Barcelona ties were soooo painful to watch. Shevchenko and Rebrov ran riot, as did Luis Enrique, Figo, and Cocu. And what about that Batistuta hammer vs Fiorentina. I think Seaman would have lost his arms if he got hold of it!

We seemed to get bullied by a tight defence this time! haha! We need more overlapping runs, but when crosses come in, there is no one in the middle. This is still not being addressed. However, how comes to mind when thinking about box players? Jeffers was just abysmal as the 'fox in the box' and i can't think of another point man really... seriously... brain's gone blank!!

I wonder now that Bouhlarouz (great signing!) has gone to Chelsea, we'll get Gallas, and give them Mr Tweedy for £16mill. I think we're still short of 3-4 players, but the transfer news with us seems to have dried up. Here's hoping. Apart from Shilla Elliasu, i haven't heard nothing else!

It also doesn't help, that we now have practically 2 players who don't know where they are - Reyes and Tweedy. I have no love for Tweedy, he can rot and f'ck off, but Reyes promised so much - it's painful.

The game, Sevilla v Madrid, was amazing - where Madrid got tanked 4-1. Reyes double nutmegged Zidane on the byline, and then turboed it all over the field and did the same to Figo. His goals against Chelsea and Middlesborough were legendary, but when he lost interest (with that fake Madrid radio phone call - and his mum begging them to come in and save her son!), he stopped playing, and that step over and dive just got tedious. He played like a demon in the Bernabeu in the CL, but i think that more to do with him being in the shop window. I think it's best for both parties if he moves on.

I'm not sure though if Madrid will buy him, as they stake that they have no money, but would like to buy him. Yeah i have no money at all, but would like to buy a Bentley Continental GT, but do you see the Bentley leaving the showroom to come to west london? NO! I would like 2 hookers for free, but do you see them coming? NO and NO (think about it!)

Madrid claim teams like Chelsea unsettle players, but this team is the worst perpetrator of the lot. The presidential elections are based on factless promises that make players agents cum in their pants with anticipation of a windfall.

Idiots.

I must say Adebayor has improve his game I never fancy him.His performance is welcome on another note 1st match I felt sad and not satisfied.I know we will improve, less passing more attacking(I can never get use to scoring headers from a gunner)Eboue needs to improve his one-touch passing for a gunner it`s vital

In the ManUtd thread seeing how happy and joyful they are makes me sick to my stomach. Why?In my opinion there attacks were scary and flawless I didn`t see this coming

Lol I can barely ever understand your posts but they sure do make me crack up :applause:

tbh I dont think players like adebayor can fit into the arsenal way of football. Despite his strength and technical ability, he just seems rele rele clumsy and lacks co-ordination. I hope Wenger uses v persie as a starter this season....he's improved significantly since his arrival from the de kuip 2 years ago

I was thinking about that the other day. Arsenal are probably gonna be pretty rubbish this year to be honest, as Konami are always reluctant to give decent stats to young, developing players. This is bad news for the Arse, as Senderos, Fabregas, Djourou, Walcott, Flamini, Clichy, Diaby and any others will suffer from this.

Lehmann might have a stats boost this year though!

sorry for the late answer but i totaly agree with this!
