I was thinking about that the other day. Arsenal are probably gonna be pretty rubbish this year to be honest, as Konami are always reluctant to give decent stats to young, developing players. This is bad news for the Arse, as Senderos, Fabregas, Djourou, Walcott, Flamini, Clichy, Diaby and any others will suffer from this.

Lehmann might have a stats boost this year though!

Arsenal have just released the true capacity of the fantastic new Emirates Stadium. Many believed and reported that the ground could hold 60,000. Arsenal have released details that the actual figure is 60,432.

Basically, each section has the following capacities: -

Lower Tier - 24,425
Upper Tier - 26,646
Clube Level - 7,139
Box Level - 2,222

Thats cool.

I am going to have the privilige of watching a game at the Emirates next Wednesday. My Dad managed to get some tickets off of a mate.

I thought I wouldn't see the inside with my own eyes for a long while yet. I Can't wait....very excited!

Even though the game may not be the greatest seeing as we have 3 away goals - I just can't wait to be in one of the best stadiums in the world watching the Arsenal!

It makes it even better that the stadium is 10mins walk from my parents in Holloway and around 30mins walk from my place in Stokey - Yee Ha!!

(On another note....I have tried to join the Red Membership on the Arsenal site and they say they are not available at the moment, does anybody know why?)

Going to the game on Sat. YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!! :mryellow:

Can't wait, feel's like the season never ended...

I love the fact that Arsenal are willing to let Ashley go for around 20mill to a foreign club and will not accept anything lower than around 25 Mill for Chelsea.

It is exaclty how it should be, Much rather see him go abroad. It would be brilliant - especially going against Chelsea.

True. Cole to somewhere where he don't really want to go would be justice for the little runt, he wants out so he can go. Preferably not to the Chavs!

I really feel we need a combative midfielder more than anything else, Gilberto is in the comfort zone. I have always thought Owen Hargreaves might be worth a punt but now it seems he is destined for United. We really should be in for players like this when the become available. And he's sort of English! :D

Well unless hargreaves learns french I cant see him being of interest to arsenal. I said before , arsene Wenger isnt good for finding defensive players. You have bought no one new for your defensive even though its so obvious you lack strength in depth.

I hear its Baptista again... but only if ASCole goes to Madrid...

Wenger bought Petit and Vieira in the past, they were magnificient in the middle, and Diaby was suppose to play the 'new Vieira' tag, until those black cats saw the end of him.

His defensive choices, Stepanovs (CHRIST!), Cygan (F*CKS SAKE!), Alex Song (NO COMMENT) have been shocking, and i have to agree, i am a bit worried about the lack of transfer activity. Our defence was suspect last season, and now we've lost 2 International (i will take that back for Campbell) players, and we've only bought in Shilla Elliasu on trial.

Wenger... wha gwaan?

Why would he need to learn French, Wenger speaks English

So he isn't good at finding defensive players eh? Try Toure, Senderos, Campbell on a free transfer, Clichy for starters for the combined transfer fee of £1.5m. Not bad me thinks...:D

Ok only campbell, toure, and senderous(who I dont think has proved himseld sufficiently to be honest) are the only good defenders he has captured over the 8years he has been there. Not a very good record. ONly toure and cambpell would I class as solid proven performers. Wengers philosophy is buy attackers and worry about defenders later.

You are wrong Vamp boy. What about Silvinho, Lauren, Eboue to name a few more? Sure he has bought some duds, but for every Pascal Cygan theres a Patrice Evra

Patrice Evra needs time to settle in before being judged, the same with vidic. They only been at the club since january. If we were to judge people in their first season then we'd still believe pires was shit, fabregas and Henry who struggled with goals in his first season at arsenal.

Pires was shit generally in his first season, Fabregas though was awesome especially for a 17 year old. Henry? You are having a :lmao: as he got 22 goals in his first season. He hardly struggled did he?

I don't think Vidic needs time to adjust. He was a monster against arsenal at OT. Remember it was his slide tackle that led to Silvestre the Cat being able to cross that ball to Rooney.

Yeah but he still had a few bad games like against chelsea he got raped basically or as rio would say 'he got merkt'. All I'm saying is that it isnt fair to completly judge a player on their first season, especially when they are coming from abroad.. And I think its clear arzenal need some defenders but it dont seem arsene wenger will adress the issue until your in deep shit.

Vidic looks good business to me, undecided about Evra. It's harder to judge defenders as their game is all about consistency and not making mistakes. It's no good making 5 decent slide takles if you're at fault for a goal.

Anyways, I think AW has real belief in Djourou and thinks this could be his breakthough season. He might be loathed to buy another defender as it will push him back down the pecking order. I felt an experienced defender like Thuram would have been perfect in this case as the younglings could have learned from him even if he only hung around for a couple or even one season, but there you go, no one listens to me
