Feel so much better. Really pleased that we'll see champions league football at the Emirates.

That was also a very pleasing performance, considering.
 
How good can Fabulous get? The skys the limit as far as that guy is concerned. Special mention to Johan Djourou who had a good game I thought and is another one for the future, which at this moment is looking very bright indeed.
 
Cracking result last nite goons, you's seemed to be in control without threatening to score, then bam 2-0 up, Cesc took his goals like a seasoned midfielder!!
 
What a result! Praise goes out to everyone. Cesc and Persie obviously, but I really like Adebayour, I think he will turn into a cracking player. also Eboue is a great player already.

The future does look good, just hopefully they all prove there potential this season and it will be very exciting.

Hopefully we can play our football in the Premiership without getting kicked about like usual. And if we do get kicked about(which is what will probably happen) hopefully we have a plan of action against it.

I can't wait!
 
Great result indeed. I was a bit worried before the match but now we are certain of CL football.

Is Arsenal.com the best place to buy a 2006/2007 kit with name and number? At first the kit seemed pretty cheap priced at £40 but adding a premier league patch, a number and a name is £15 extra. Plus I need to pay £10 for shipping it to the Netherlands. So that would make the total cost £65. A bit steep if you ask me.
 
Looks like cheslea have given up on cole, I didnt think arsenal should sell him anyway but £17 mill is alot of money for a player who everyone knows wants to leave....
 
Maybe but if they can pay £24m for that cunt Drogba then surely Cole is worth more than £17m? We are talking about one of the top 3 left backs in the world here. I think we are right to hold our ground, he is under contract to us at the end of the day, if Chelsea want him they need to meet our valuation which is in the £20m region. A fair price me thinks. If not then he will have to knuckle down and play his heart out for us for 1 more season, Chelsea will get him eventually.
 
I would love to see him stay and rot to be honest - I know it would be silly to not play him but It would serve the little toe rag right. He shouldn't say the things he has said while contracted to the club - the club hold all the aces and I think they should punish the little bastard.

We should definately not get a penny less than 20mill its bad enough he is going to our biggest rival - but for 16mil is a joke. Shaun Wright Philips wasn't even any where near the best player in his position in the world neither was Drogba but they went for well over 20Mill each.

So why should we sell Cole to Chelsea for 16 Mill its Ridiculous!

If we don't get the money we want then don't sell. If he gets stroppy put him in the reserves until he realises what a dick he is. We proved for most of last season and inthe recent game that there are people who can hold the left back position and put all there heart into it - and thats what we need at Arsenal.
 
Wow, I remember when £16m for a left back would have seemed like an outrageous offer. Normally big fees like that only go for strikers/AMFs. But thus is the power of the Chelski. Anyone know how much R. Carlos cost real when they bought him? Zambrotta was nowhere near that much, and he's just as good.

For me Arsenal should sell Reyes and Cole asap, get some funds in and go shopping. No point in having players who don't want to be there.
 
Well thats bollox. I accept he has to be sold but why sell him to Chelsea at a cut price? Carlos joined years ago so thats not comparable. Zambrotta is a lot older than Cole so thats not comparable either. If Chelsea want Cole who is one of the best in the world in his position AND has his best years in front of him then they need to stump up the cash required to get him. Simple as.

With ronaldo that was due to circumstances in england amid fears of his safety and was kind of a knee jerk reaction from ronaldo. He even said he is happy to stay at United. Unlike Cole who has something against arsenal for the way they treated him in whole chelsea scandal and openly admitted he felt betrayed.
 
Chelsea have no right to get stroppy, they started the ball rolling on ridiculous prices - so they are gonna have to keep paying ridiculous prices! its as simple as that!

If they want one of the best left backs in the world who is contracted to his club for another year or so then they need to pay the price. Just because it is Arsenal they don't want to give us that much money.

English players have a premium on them nowadays - thats why we have none in our team!

25Mil is a ridiculous price for a left back - but Chelsea dug their own grave so they should lie in it!

If they want the player that much, pay the money that they can easily afford and Piss off!
 
Personally I think £16m is a good price for him. Yes Chav$ki have more money but us holding out for it just because we can makes us just as greedy as them. Let's just be rid of the fame-hungry little fecker and use the money to finance a move for a solid defender or central midfielder.

£16 million is a tidy profit on a player from the youth academy, and to be honest he's a left back at the end of the day. He's not a matchwinning player like SWP or Drogba could be, hence a lower value is fair in my book.
 
Joystick is right. I rate Gaby Heinze as good as Cole and he was 6 million. He'd be crap at Chelsea anyway. He won't be allowed to attack, that's if he's even allowed to play.
They only want him to put a dent in your team, like trying to get Gerrard from Livershit. Just wish they go after Fletcher.

Van Nistlerooy went for only £12m because he wanted away. Last few summers figures were being touted around £30m for him to head to Real. It makes a huge difference when the club doesn't have to pry the player away. Look I hate chelsea's spending as much as any other fan of football, but in the end he is just a left back, and only has 1 year left on his contract. £16m is more than you're going to get next year, and do you really want a disruptive influence in the locker room? I understand playing hardball, but asking for £25m or £30m is ridiculous. Who would you rather have, a young english Rooney or a young english Ashley cole? SHould they be the same value?
 
I don`t mean to be boring,but Arsenal is not being greedy I think they want Gallas.Even though Milan wanted Gallas in exchange w/ Shev,chelski got loot and they don`t exchange deals w/ players and I think Arsenal was told to piss off and take this and bring cole fresh and clean to our HQ to begin brain washing 102 since he took 101 already.Arsenal will do what needs to be done

Ok I hear what you say but we are not asking for £30m, I believe its around the £20m mark. Plus he has 2 years left on his contract so I believe what we are doing is correct. I still think he will be a Chelsea player before the window shuts anyway.
