I dont. He first says playing English players isnt important but then compares it to how important it is to support your local team, which I assumed IS important after reading "you fucking glory hunting scumbags".

I was sayin how you think us having no English players is soo important yet none of you cockney lot think it's important to support your local team. A clear breech of the "unwritten law" in my books, goes against everything I stand for

So from now on, you must only support music and movies from London.

Ohhh nooo.... Not that tired old argument about Utd fans from London. You should try visiting Manchester and looking at how many United fans there really are there. Every company I worked for was about 70% red and I'm going back 25 years. They weren't popular then.
Your team might have been the 'new Utd' if you had won as many titles recently. Chelsea will beat you to that honour. It's started already over here. I've seen more Chelsea tops this summer than any other team.

tbh i couldn't care less about where you come from, but why is it a big deal that we don't have many english players when. It's the same principal.

So if not supporting your local team goes against everything you stand for, but in principal it's the same as not having many English players, you're actually arguing with yourself

I rolled my eyes after that comment, do I actually have to confirm everytime a sarcastic comment is made? I thought it was made kinda obvious...

Joking mate. Give us a kiss.

If we're shit this year we need you to be bloody good and stop the blue champ manager cheats from winning it again. The other alternative is the scousers and that would be the end of the world.

How do you think you'll do? Are you confident?

I seriously think we need to get rid of Cole, as i think he will be a negative factor on morale with his "Hello!/OK/Top Sante/We Love Telly" peice of shit autobiography - i think that needs to be in the StrongBow advert for sure!

We need a CB and a good DMF. However, i don't know what Wenger is doing as it's gone a bit quiet at the mo'. I think we'll play well this season, but at the back of my mind, it's that niggly feeling that we'll struggle in defence, especially with Big Phil out for 3 months and Madman Sol going abroad (Portsmouth! haha)

I think it's Pools year to put on a serious front. Especially since their squad goes on forever in WE10! I think we'll be there, but we will need to bed down a couple of seasons until this team reaches it's potential with all the young players that we have in the first team gelling with the experienced stars. I hope the new stadium doesn't proove to be a hoodoo as Wembley was in the CL! What a crap idea that was!

Gunners move for Ghana ace

Arsenal have taken Ghana World Cup star Shilla Illiasu on trial.

The 23-year-old featured in all four of The Black Stars' games at the finals in Germany - starting the last three of them.

The central defender shone in Germany and his performances caught the attention of Arsene Wenger and his scouts.

Illiasu's club Kumasi Asante Kotoko have confirmed that Illiasu is on his way to London to link-up with The Gunners.

Arsenal have excellent contacts in Africa and now they have agreed a deal with Kotoko - which sees Illiasu arriving for a trial spell.

The highly-rated stopper will get the chance over the next few days to try and convince Wenger that he is worthy of a move to The Premiership.

Reports from Africa suggest Kotoko would allow Illiasu to leave for around $1 million (£500,000).

I hear Gallas didn't turn up to train with the Chelsea squad. In that case if Chelsea really want Cole we should say Gallas plus cash or you can go stick your roubles up your arse!

I'd definitely like to see Cashley bugger off to spain rather than down the road to the bridge. Plus, with Gallas AWOL, del horno gone, Johnson gone, Huth gone...maybe Chelski will have squad problems!!! mwwhahahahaha

What would you think of Vieira if he went to Man Utd?

It would be a horrid sight (imagining you lot seeing Keano in a gooner shirt) but you can't blaming him for leaving Juve and you're a big club so that needs to be respected.

How have you gone from having no midfield to a possible Carrick Vieira combo?

Vieria at Utd would be jokes. He's still got something in the tank but he's never gonna be the player he was in 01-02. I imagine he'd start pretty well as he did at Juventus, but eventually you would notice him going missing in the big games. A few half arsed challenges, some lazy tracking back, before you know it 88 minutes have gone and you can't remember Paddy touching the ball.

Maybe not.

That probably sounds like sour grapes Joystick but I have to agree with you. His last 18 months with us were terrible, he looked the shadow of his former self. He had a good World Cup but I suspect he knew that Juve were going down so he had to put himself in the shop window. IMO Utd can do better than Patrick Vieira.

At first I didnt really think of it that way but now I get how you'd feel about Vieira at United. Seeing Keano in a Arsenal shirt would make me want to kill myself. :(

No worries now, Vieira --> Inter (£6.8mill) :D

Getting sick of seeing Cashley in the papers. Just f*ck right off you DJ groupie. I'd love to see him go to Real and get love from the Ultra Sur.

Yes, i'm a vindictive bastard.

I for one can't wait to read his book to see what shite he has put in it. Of course Ottakers will be my home for a few lunchtimes, not giving that cunt any of my cash! :D

Why would it be? Its always the Utd fans putting a downer on things!

Its Brazil v Argentina - they don't do friendlys, B teams or not!
I dont think I'd care too much if Brazil use the squad listed in that thread in Football Discussion.

Adios Jose?

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=407746&CPID=8&clid=3&lid=2&title=Reyes+pleads+not+to+play

I think he will become a quality player but there is a gnawing feeling that it won't be with Arsenal. If he does go I think he'll do really well for Madrid and we'll all be like "WTF?", but I think it's just one of those things. People sometimes forget that footballers are actually people and that switching to another country is a fairly unsettling business. Business which is cushioned considerably by their millonaire wages, granted, but still money really isn't everything.

Right now I'm not sure if it's good for him to stay or go. If he can't adapt then is there much point hanging on to him? However, looking and the here and now, Arsenal can't really afford to loose a versatile winger/striker now that Le Bob is El Bob (geddit?).

I think Wenger is too stubborn to give up on Reyes now and I believe he'll still be here this season, but after that? I said before, this is IMO a make or break season for Reyes. I guess thats even more true now...
