Arsenal Thread

Well the big story this morning is that Saviola could be on his way to us. The fee being bandied around is £4m and thats a bargain. I feel that he would be a great signing for us and can fill the void left by DB10. As ever though don't get too excited until its confirmed on Arsenal.com.
 
Hmm... he's a good little player who can score and drop deep when needs be. He's got quick feet and a decent football brain on him, I think he's been unfortunatley treated at Barca and deserves a lot more respect.

But it's yet another short arse for Arsenal!?!? We're gonna be like a team of pygmies out there! Please sign someone with a bit of height AW. Preferably a defender.
 
Now that all the squad numbers between 1-11 bar 10 are taken what do you reckon the chances of someone choosing the 10 shirt next season. Would it be too soon to jump into Dennis shirt?

Also when was the last time we had numbers 1-11 taken?

Is it true Van Basten and Cruyff are turning out for the Ajax legends in the second half? I hope it's Johan and not Jordi :lol:

My mate and his Dad got season tickets for the first time about a month ago. Lucky feckers, mind you it does mean more games for me when one of 'em can't go! :D

I heard van Basten and Cruyff are going but I didn't know they were playing :shock: Reckon Marco's ankle is up to it?

Yeah they look artificial. Looks like someone took them out of a game. maybe its from the new 'This is football'.

Anyhow I need to ask you this clockender. If someone does serious damage to ronaldo say someone stabs him while he is out in manchester and he is with a family sibling who also gets caught up in the attack. IS it justified and does he deserve it because he winked at his manager and protested against a foul? And is that more cheating than diving on the floor holding your face pretending you are hurt?

Physical violence is not justified, we're talking about verbal grief he will be given.

As for holding your face, why are you so obsessed with making henry out to be a cheat. Thierry is one of the most creible players in the game and maybe he decided that he got fuck all from the ref last time he played Puyol fairly so decided he'd get him back another way. It doesn't excuse him cause it's still cheating but he is nowhere near as bad as Ronaldo who dives non-stop at 3-4 times a game.

Just as those who are obsessed with placing blame on ronaldo. The boy is only 21years old and I hardly consider what he done cheating. Maybe sneaky and sly, but who isnt these days in football. As for Henry, Im sure if he ran saomeone over on purpose, under the influence of drugs and on the same night raped someone, you'd still manage to come up with some excuse. The point is Henry cheated and I think he dived to win that penalty against portugal also, he didnt need to go down but he did. He is just as bad as ronaldo imo in terms of his actions on the pitch in the world cup.

What the hell you talking about? Go check the portugal-england match thread and you see I said the very same thing and also in the United I ve been protesting how unfair ronaldo has been treated in all this. People try and justify their hate by saying the boy cheated. Well I say so did Henry,malouda and many other players in the world cup who blatantly cheated to gain an advantage over the opposition. Theirs also was the worse knind of cheating also. Ronaldo didnt dive to ground and decieve england like Henry and malouda did in the competition. The boy just pointed out it was a foul against rooney and then winked at his manager to indicate that he done what he had ro do.

Al have you seen Ronaldo playing in this WORLD CUP:shock: I`m not talking about Rooney vs. Ronaldo drama which I think its boring their both are m8`s.I`m pointing out that your words of Henry being a diving cheat.Whether he dove or fell he was fouled the shocking part was his reactions towards the foul.I never thought 2 actions can tarnish a man legacy of a world class striker.

hmm don't agree, if there's a league for a pacey winger with dribbling skills, lack of passing vision but an acceptable cross, it's the EPL.

the whole purpose of the EPL is a) run down the wings, b) cross the ball into the box c) head or volley it into the net. c. ronaldo does a) and b) as good as anybody.

there's of course exceptions, for example middle distance shooting which is also a trait that he's got and is useful in the EPL.
 
well guys, with the 3 Serie A team getting relegated,who do u see wenger going for? hopefully Jimelnez who we were linked with before of Fiorentina, what postion does Dabo play? if hes a cb then lets go for him, but i think hes a rb, so nah. what about Tomas Ujfalusi of Fiorentina? hes a cb, or Zebina,can play both Rb and cb, not that we need him for rb?
 
The arsenal manager has already come out and said he isnt going to go for any of the Juve players, due to their high wages.
