Good win but Spurs will be a different beast at their ground when all of the players have bedded in.

Also if we don't buy anybody, we will probably only have 2 fit players by then as well.
 
Good win indeed. Congratulations to my Arsenal friends. Can't say this was an undeserved win. Good match. Hat off to Rosicki and Giroud. Man of the match: Aaron Ramsey.
In the first half you won in central midfield, Capoue and Paulinho lost that battle.

Arsene will say that you don't need to buy players....
 
Im happy about the fact that Flamini played well... He was that guy that we missed in that midfield...hot headed and not scared of going for the tackle and communicating with the whole squad in that midfield... Back then we just needed him and fab in that center area to dominate a match.
 
great to see flamini back where he belongs.

wish to see other former arsenal players return where they also belong (fabregas, song, etc...) :)

very strange to go for Ozil.... I like Cazorla running freely it guides Ramsey n Rosicky. I think Rosicky\Ramsey/Cazorla are very good selection. I`m shocked to see Ramsey play , I couldn`t tell who was who at times Cazorla, Rosicky and Ramsey play so identical or shall I say Ramsey plays like them.

I don`t think we need a mid fielder and Flamini was pretty good I like how he was vocal telling players where to line up and such. A big win...I love the chant at the end 'Go !!-and waste your money'
 
Flamini is excellent organisation for yout team when you need to shut out results, I feel that is invaluable in a league like the premiership.

Signing Ozil would probably give Cazorla some competition and also another option for Wenger to tinker with, the idea that you may also add Di Maria to your attack is frightening.. if it happens then I feel united will be lucky to finish top 5 let alone top of the table. Spurs, Chelsea and City already have arguably stronger squads than United. Arsenal are two stars short, and it seems Wenger is dead set on getting them in.
 
Ozil is sheer class, I see him playing in the center and moving Cazorla to a wing...

Such a shame to see him leave Madrid, he just wanted a guarantee that he would play all season, due to the WC. Isco has been brilliant, he will face less competition in London.
 
After yesterday's match, the question is if Arseanl really needs much signings.
It's always exciting for fans to have new 'high profile' players, but what use are they if the team looses ?
Yesterday both Paulinho and Capoue were clearly outplayed by Arsenal's midfield...imo Arsenal have a good team and could take some adavance to the likes of Spurs and City because they have a team that is already gelled. Maybe Arsenal lack squad depth, but i'm not sure about that...

Yesterday your team proved that it still can do wonderfull things.

Did you saw the match Jonney (i mean at the Emirates...) ?
 
If Man United are interested I can see Ozil going there instead.

To Gerd Inthink our first team is really good mostly but we are definitely lacking in quality options from the bench in a striker roll and defensively aswell. A couple of injuries at the back and we are in trouble.

Ozil probably is the last position we actually need a player in, but as a statement of intent it will be great to get somebody like him in the team. But I worry this will push Cazorla out wide.

We need another attacking forward, striker and defender IMO and a defensive midfielder but less so now we have Flamini, but it would be nice to have somebody big and solid in that role.

So another 5 players in by the end of the window! ;))

Don't worry, we're not, we were offered him not long ago and turned the opportunity down.

I think it's just an attempt from the agent to get more money by announcing we were interested.

A few respectable journalists seem to think it's all but wrapped up with Arsenal, so well done Mr Wenger!

According to Bild he's having a medical for you now, in Germany (where he's with the national team).
 
Looks like £46m to RM . Kaka n Ozil off the books looks like brilliant work from RM. It sounded like chants at Bale's presentation were saying 'Don't sell Ozil'.
 
IMO Özil is a better player than Bale...would be pretty ironic that Bale's tranfer would strengthen Arsenal, isn' it. Must be a hard one for the Arsenal haters among Spurs fans (and for the record: i'm not one of them).

Bobby: Cazorla is very good playing wide. If i'm not mistaken he played wide for Villareal and maybe also for Malaga...

And concerning defenders: i still think Vermaelen is better than both Mertesacker and Koscielny.

Glad for Giroud that he is scoring decisive goals, he deserves that (but stop scoring against my team...).
 
Vermaelen is better and that made him a liability, he dashes forward like a winger! Per + Koscielny are not risk takers and focuses more on defending. I wouldn`t be surprise to see him play as a DM. I think having Ozil (if we get him) puts more pressure on attacking and Vermaelen shines more in that sort of squad.
 
Vermaelen is a great player, I'm a fan of the Verminator, but this current pairing of Merte + Kos is unshakeable at the moment. Let's see what happens when Vermaelen gets back to fitness.
We have 3 really good CBs and we just needed a 4th younger one who wouldn't mind being behind in the pecking order, but a hungry one - who would have the ambition to compete with those guys.

The other 2 guys who were vital in the derby win were Ramsey and Giroud. Ramsey was outstanding, but I think Giroud was the man of the match. Not only he scored the winner, he also blocked a Soldado shot that was probably going in, helped with many defensive headers and let his physical presence known in the attack too. Top guy, Olivier! Not the technical hitman we are so used to see at Arsenal, but he is really becoming dependable.

As for signings, it looks like we are really getting Özil! :SHOCK:
I'd be surprised if Wenger really pays the 42m pounds for him. Not to mention that nobody expected us to sign another playmaker. Typical Wenger :D
Remember when he signed Arshavin when everybody expected a CB?

Well, I rate Özil very highly, but what do you guys think? Is he worth all that money?
I'm not questioning the spending of the money itself though. Even if we pay over the odds, Wenger made so much money in transfers for the club in the past, that he's more than entitled to indulge in such fees. Now he has to spend.

Really excited about this, even afraid of a last minute jinx :P

I m probably one of the few Utd fans to disagree w this but i don't think we need Ozil. Will be great to see him in the PL though. The league is starting to get crazy loaded across the board..hopefully that means a new era of premier league European dominance.
 
there are rumors about di maria and benzema following ozil to arsenal :)

imho, they should get one quality striker and centre back. vermaelen is a guy for hospital, not pitch, he is always injured, i don't like injury prone type of players no matter of their quality.
