Arsenal Thread

I normally don't quote Arseblog but this had me laughing:

I think I’ve got post-traumatic stress disorder. I keep getting these weird flashbacks. Like, I’m going along normally, minding my own business and then it’s:

MUST BUY LEFT BACK!

Not so good when you’re in the supermarket, frantically searching the vegetable section for a suitable candidate. “This butternet squash looks like he could put in a good cross”.

Or if you’re down in Eggy Joe’s, you look a little more closely at the tray of eggs you’ve just bought and you’re overcome with this sense we still need a centre-half and each egg is a perfectly shaped head of Cygan. Argh!

:LMAO:

Bendtner has spoken:

Nicklas Bendtner to never return to Arsenal?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/02/rumour-mill-nicklas-bendtner-arsenal

"If I can have it my way, I will never play for them again," he sobbed. "After my car accident I never really got the chance to earn a spot in the first team. That is over 1½ years with no real chance to prove myself. I am really looking forward to playing for Sunderland and then we will see next summer. I will find a new club — but I will not go back to Arsenal, that's for sure."

Sad news, but we need at least 1 player to be out for around 3 months, otherwise it wouldn't be Arsenal :PP

At least we now have back up!

This sucks... I fear for Jack :( with Arsenal's clueless medical department, I fear he could be Vermaelenized for a whole season...

Just remember what Wenger said after the NYRB match and what happens now :(
Arsene Wenger said:
on Jack Wilshere’s injury…
It is not very serious. They say he might be out for the whole of next week because he has an ankle inflammation. But he has not torn anything. He is a quick healer usually and a tough boy so I hope he will be quicker than the medical predictions. The England game is on August 10 and I don’t know [whether he will be available]. They told me he might be out next week. If he is out next week, he will not play against Benfica so he will certainly not play for England.

So it looks like we lost nasri, fabregas and now wilshere. GREAT:YAWN:

Oh, calm down mate. Let's try to stay positive :) we would be fucked now if we didn't buy Arteta and get Benayoun, so that 8-2 mauling might have been a blessing in disguise.

Jack's problem seem to be in the Achiles, so that makes it all the more worrying. Our medical team track record shows they know fuck all about treating this kind of injury. Vermaelen took so long that I think he healed naturally. Oh well, let them get the hippopotamus placenta ready...

Maybe the mediacal staff has learned from the Vermaelen injury.

All together:

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE...and a jonneymendoza solo for the whistling part...

told u didnt i.

Fergie would have sold fabregas for 50/60m easily but no, wenger the idiot sold him for peanuts. if we had recieved 50m we could have easily bought mvia or hazzard as well asthe current players we bought and still made a profit

What did you tell anybody? everybody knows he was worth much more than they paid.

Cesc went for that money because he only wanted to go to Barcelona, there was obviously alot more going on with Cesc behind the scenes and we got what we got for him. I am pretty sure Cesc would have reacted if we would have kept him for another season and not reacted well. He was obviously frustrated with us and wanted the move more than anything.

To say Ferguson would have got more is just ridiculous. We were in a unique situation and they got a bargain that is all.

To say we just let him go isn't right either as it took all summer, if we were happy with selling him for peanuts then we would have done it at the beginning of the summer.

For Barcelona to come out and say this aswell after buying him is just ridiculous aswell, like they are laughing at us that they got him for so cheap. They really are wankers some of them.

We could have bought Mvila or Hazzard anyway, so I also think that there was something else there to it. Not sure with Mvila but with Hazzard they already said they wouldn't sell him and he said he didn't want to go.

You make it all sound so simple Jonney. Can you wait until we lose our next game before you bring your negativity back to the thread? I would like a few days where people aren't pissing and moaning all the time. We should be looking forward now, not backwards.

erm im not sure, it was the same thing when we sold beckham to madrid for peanuts, barca offered more but beckham had gone public with his love of madrid...

But ronaldo was in the same situation with united. he only wanted to go RM and RM coughed up 80m for him. Also im going to see arsenal play this saturday with swansea at the emirates. now thats good news :)

Cheer up i was only saying fab went for peanuts. We bought lots of players yes, thast good but we lost another one(wilshere) for half a season already and now this shit from barcelona.

Fuckers they are

First of all ...NO player in the World is worth 50m not even Messi !!! Barca`s VP is just talkin bullocks!! Fab is worth more because we paid so much?!?! for Fab.... It like Fab saying Highbury was more special because they won trophies :P taking the attention away from his failures. Barca is so good why is it they sit 26th on Club values? While the Emirates puts our club value at 7th in the World.

We paid peanuts for Fab and still made a profit of somewhere around €38m hahaha! Fab will do great at Barca, because any player surrounding themselves by those lots. Messi at the Emirates surrounded by Rosicky,Diaby,Theo and Arshavin will be average.:JAY:

Anyways on move important stuff

‘You could not say much to him (about his game) because it doesn’t take much for him not to like you,’ Nordtveit told Danish channel TV2 sport.

‘He has his own way of doing things, but he could have made more of an effort in training when he was at Arsenal.

‘It was disappointing for Bendtner to have so little time on the field in the last half year. But Arsene Wenger always wants to play with his best players and that’s what he did.

Fuck me, Vermaelen out again...

BREAKING NEWS: Thomas Vermaelen Ruled Out For 2 Months

Arsenal have been hit by another devastating injury blow after key defender Thomas Vermaelen underwent further surgery on a troublesome ankle injury tonight.

Goddamn, when will this bad luck end? :( It says Vermaelen will need surgery! This doesn't look good. Him and Wilshire sidelined for long spells... Just when I was so eager to watch the two-headed monster Mertemaelen make our defence look solid again.

To add insult to injury (literally) UEFA has just denied Wenger's appeal. Such ridiculous pricks they are.

I have to agree with Arseblog once again and quote it:

An Arsenal source told Arseblog News, “UEFA are such gigantic cunts they make Na$ri look all right”.
heh :D

Why in godsname is Nasri a cunt? Because he left for City and said that he did it not only for the money but also because he thinks he will have a better chance to win silverware? What's wrong with that?

About Vermaelen. That is something typical for Belgian players in foreign competitions, they end up injury prone for at least a certain period (Nillis with Villa, Sonck with Ajax and Mönchengladbach, Mpenza with Schalke, Kompany with Hamburg, the Joos Valgaeren for Celtic, Vermaelen with Arsenal). This cannot be a coïncidence...i hope Vermaelen does not fit the stereotype because most of them never where as good as before the injury, except for Kompany (but Hamburger SV had already written him off).

Because he went for money. not for winning shit. if he wanted a better chance at wining shit he should have joined man united.

And if he would have joined Man United, he would still be universally loved by all Arsenal fans? I will never understand English fans.

As a Spurs fan, i must say that Nasri was splendid in his first match for City...

yea he would. do u see us hating on fabregas leaving us for barca? nope. No point in arguing with me mate because im right hehe.

You know every well he went for money, nothing else. For more success and trophieS? go with barca or united. for money? go for city. simple as that my friend and even yoru own boss slagged of nasri saying he went for the money.

dont post any negative news otherwise bobby will have a hissy fit again :LMAO:

:PP

Very sad about Vermaelen, was so looking forward to see him and Merts together.

I actually do think we are cursed! I can't wait for Saturday though!

Have a great time at the game Jonney....don't moan in the stands though ;))
