Arsenal Thread

The away leg won't be as intimidating at the 'ZZZel Alpie' as the Nou Camp or the San Siro - so that's an advantage for Arsenal. Highbury will be electric.

I knew it was gonna be either Lyon or Juve. Unfortunatly for arsenals ambitions its Juve. I think its gonna be very good and close game but i think its bye bye for Arsenal. Juventus are a proper team, no hasbeens or fatslobs in the squad like RealMadrid. Just proper class technical players all over the park and worst is they are just as organised as chelsea in defense.

Alucard I agree 100% with what ure saying, they are a more technical side just like bayern showed us last year, organised and professional and efficient with the ball, we will need to up our game to beat these guys over two legs.

Only thing is for some worrying reason i see someone like Senderous taking a player out and giving a penalty away, my god gilberto just got the ball when he took ronaldo out.

Typical salivary bullcrap. Real Madrid were no has-beens before we took them out were they? I mean 10 points behind the best team in the world, Barcelona and second in their league ( a tougher league than the EPL, if I may add) does not make them a bunch of has-beens. ManU, who I believe u support (correct me if I am wrong) are 15 points behind Chelsea in the league. If we had beat ManU in this stage of the competition will u consider them to be has-beens? Obviously not. Let me ask, are Arsenal not supposed to be the has-been club in the league at the moment, judging from all the slagging off we get from ManU, Chelsea, And Scum fans. I mean we've fallen far below our usual standards even moreso than Real. That should make this performance even more laudable.

tbh...from watching both arsenal and juventus this year, arsenal dont have anything to fear. Juventus play a highly technical and slow game due the lack of pace, a fired up arsenal team could tear juventus a new arsehole. hopefully the lazy juventus of bremen turn up @ highbury!!

meija and ramos have a degree of pace...those two have slowly dwindled...thuram couldnt even handle ljungberg in the 2002 match when we caned u guys and cannavaro was embarresed by Henry during the 5-1 demolition of intwer in 2004

How many other quality spanish teams besides barcelona and Madrid and valencia(who btw are mediocre) are in la liga compared to the premiership? Its not fact barcelona are best in the world, they only won la lgia last season, they havnt won CL before,so why are you getting on the bandwagon hailing them as best club in world? PLus You talk as if being 10/15points behind top spot is something to be proud of.

And if arsenal had beaten United in CL this season, i wouldnt consider it some mighty victory concuring best team in world like some supporters are acting like after defeating Real madrid who IMO are team full of hasbeens and players with overflated egos. Though i would say that some United players are hasbeens, like scholes, giggs and if keane were still there he'd be added to the list.

lol you cannot talk about years ago, cannavaro was injured and that juve wasn't the actually juve, talking about NOW, we have the best midfield of the world with emerson, vieira, camoranesi and nedved, if juve plays like his name (take a look at the 2nd time against werder it was only our 60% :D) there are no chances for arsenal and you know it's true

Henry could make mince meat of any defence.

Can you imagine Vieira squaring up against Henry? It's going to be very interesting.

I think Rio would argue with that statement
I think EPL players our use to T. Henry ways and there always on top of him like Rio and Terry not let him in the middle and forcing him to pass(very clever lads),What i don`t understand is why play so good in CL and so poor domesticly...

Yeah, he's shit domestically. Only won the European Golden Boot for the last two years running.

when Gerard make a back pass, Henry become invisible (it's one of 4 fantastic)

oh, you remember in Euro 2004 ? :lmao:
