haha fuck chelsea and liverpool, they not ready for european football, especialy liverpool, their a fucking joke! LOL!! liverpool had the easiest opponents out of the 3 english teams

I hope arsenal get lyon or Juve which i think will happen. It should be good encounters either way.

Give me Villareal or Benfica. No Juventus cos Vieira could prbably spell out the weaknesses in every player and Wenger to Ancelotti. Milan? See Bayern. Barcelona, hmmmmmm, close to our style, but more ruthless with chances.

Benfica just beat ManU and Liverpool... You guys sure you want us? ;)
 ManU beat you first remember 2-1 then you won 1-2 so you think your better call it fate and count your blessing....keep the video, that won`t happen again(i`m not defending manU)

Arsenal beat FC Porto fairly easy in the summer,That doesn`t mean nothing. To be honest Vilarreal looks tougher then you guys, but you know that because they beat you and liverpool you were the better team in both matches...

so let the memories begin and the videos recording....Come on Arsenal!!! beat liverpool there down and should be easy(fingers cross)

I think what won you lot the match was your sheer determination and the pitch.Yes the pitch.Real never looked comfortable playing in the narrowest pitch of the Premiership.Their star players have absolutely no time on the ball, its touch and go all of a sudden.Zidane cant take it,Raul had to drop deep,Ronaldo was lost and Guti was too slow for the game.Congrats to you and the prasing stops here.

Beckham played alright but man that midfield is old!

Well done anyway at least Liverpool lost ;)

One team in Europe, there's only 1 team in Europe!!! Get in!! What a night, what an atmosphere, what drama, what a 0-0 draw!!!

To all you people slating us for having no Englishmen in our side last night:

We don't care, we are still in the competition and I am sure all of you would like to swap positions with us.

Get in there GOONS!!!!

How good was that Lehmann save, he is in such good form. I think Olly Kahn can wave goodbye to his world cup dreams!

Bring on Benfica in the next round I say, it'd be nice to keep Barca and Milan on the other side of the draw!

I think Kahn will keep his spot for two reasons: 1 history and 2 Lehman is a right twat and no one likes him. I'm not making that up, apparently he's really not liked by the german team, and to be honest after seeign his temper/acting ability/mentality i can understand why. But he did have a agreat game last night, and has had a really great season.

Is the new arsenal pitch going to be wider? Cause if so I can honeslty say I think that'll spell then end of arsenal's home dominance, I totally agree with the above post, you could tell real couldn't find space all night. Then again, Raul absolutely should have scored, but so should pires (What you can't kick the ball half the pitch...?)

Good effort, I do still have concerns about labelling arsenal an 'english' club but as they are at least based in england they have my support going forward. I'd take benfica, they were dominated by pool, and united for that matter, their luck has to end at some point (See second goal against united, a half volley deflection off the post...nice)

 We have played in the English league for 120 years!

We have a lot of foreign players, but so does everybody else! I really don't know what the issue is? All our players last night wore the shirt with passion and pride. They fought like lions to death. All I want is committed players playing for the club and all the players on that pitch last night who were wearing Arsenal shirts were just that.

It think I can sum it up that we are a continental team but remain most definately an English club.

If you guys win the CL finish fifth and take Tottenhams CL spot, would that be a dream come true?

(know the answer to that already)

;)

Best

nil

nil

ever...

I have to say, as happy as I am with the result I really didn't enjoy one minute of last nights game. It was new pants time on so many occasions. I swear when Jose blasted that one against the bar I thought it was going to be one of those nights. We've conceeded so many late goals recently and when Real had Robinho, Raul, Ronaldo, Zidane and Baptista (you'll never play for Arsenal!) on the pitch you just thought something was going to give.

But it didn't and Arsenal didn't, so we go through. Heart attack avoided. What ever happens now this season we at least toppled one of the world's best and brought a symbolic end to the Glacticos era. That's something to treasure, and my advice is to do just that, the season's got a long way to go before we can really celebrate anything at all.

A real team performance last night, no one played poorly, even Gilberto (what a last ditch tackle on fatty!). Special mentions I think should go to Matt Flamini who just doesn't stop running. He's not the most graceful or immediately impressive player but he's got a real engine and works himself to death. He's clearly proud as to wear the Arsenal shirt, and for that he deserves a lot of respect playing in an alien position.

Hleb! I hope he builds on this and starts showing the skills he's capable of on the regular. He may take a bit longer to settle but he's shown enough to warrant a bit of faith from the goon faithful.

Now, let's hope the boys can keep their feet vs Lpool on Sunday. They really are all big games from now on in.

We need a result against Liverpool cause Spurs are at the bridge, there's a good chance of us closing the gap on them to 1 point.

To be honest about the whole English thing Arsenal would have 2 English players on the pitch if they were fit and secondly we can't afford top English players, we don't have £30 million to spend on Rooney and Ferdinandor £25 million for SWP.

we need a marketable persona someone w/ chrisma maybe an Asian.Big clubs are big `cause there marketable regardless of bad form or not.Any good asian out there

yeah, you waste 10 mil on Jeffers instead

i think that was where Wenger learnt his lesson. English players don't have as good a mentality as the foreign kids do. You're more than likely to hear about a young English player going out and getting pissed and causing trouble than you are a foreign kid!
