I was actually quite pleased for Arsenal - Real Madrid NEED knocking down a few pegs. If you see my earlier post I congratulated the Goons. You won't win the Champions League so I am 8) .

That is probably the gayest post I have EVER read on a forum. Ever.
Maybe not THE gayest (that title goes to that Lee Hotti thread). But this is pretty high up there.

yes but you called me gay ,lol (or my post). as we were severe underdogs it may have been easier to stomach i guess. and if madrid go any more pegs down they'll be relagated lol.

It was a VERY gay post! It's called 'banter' mate!

i understood, hence the "lol". look, i'm not prepared to get into this, let me enjoy my moment ok. me being sceptical i can see us losing the next leg as i could see us conceding in this game. i want to make the most of what no other english club in the history of football has ever achieved\\:o/

We're just saying that you're kinda over-celebrating this especially since the tie isnt even over.

Faregas was my man of the match tonight, I thought he was immense and can't remember an occasion where he gave the ball away!

Henry was did well but I felt he could've given more than he did.

Eboue played solid and kept Robinho quiet which very few players have done this year.

How good was the Lemon, he's really on top of his game at the moment and Kahn must be shitting himself about starting the world cup!

Only negatives were Senderos being scared of the ball again and Hleb in ability to pass the ball to a yellow shirt. I thought Freddie was much improved.

I'm on cloud nine at the moment, oo to oo to be oo to be a GOONER!!!!!

robinho looked real average next to eboue, eboue wasn't scared of him which was great. fabregas was the best midfielder on the pitch, some of the turns were unbelievable, he beat zidane with cheeky turns twice.

also, what a great goal, he beat about 4 players. i was so cought up in the moment it didn't sink until the replay. fantastic goal.

There's still 90 mins to play but we should have Cole, RVP and Campbell back by then hopefully we don't freeze on the occasion but things are looking good and we got a result I didn't expect.

Well done Arsenal. Henry finally gives us a great European moment. Great goal!

Half time and the home leg still to go - surely you can't mess it up this time??

depends on the minset of the managers. Real will have to attack and we know how good they are at that. Will Arsenal try to defend the 1-0? I think it will be a great game.

"Please!! Be a pal and don`t come to La Liga"said David

"Alright...I`ll stay at Arsenal"said Henry HeHeHe!!

Astonishing.Gotta hand it to the players. Not even your own fans gave them a chance against the Galacticos. Its a good win for English football.Having said that, none of your first team members(Except for Walcott)is British based! Hahaha.

All credit to the team, would have been a wonderful performance, if not for one certain Jose Antonio Reyes. Never before have i seen a player playing in england feign injury, and roll back ONTO the pitch to waste time. I felt like turning off the match, regardless of how much I wanted to see the 'galacticos' lose. I'm glad he at least got a yellow card, but still, how do these guys feel good about themselves?

Oh and where were real madrid last night? Beckham had some fight in him, but that was about it. I'm happy Arsenal held them off, but they barely seemed to care...

Well that's a bit harsh cause his hat trick at the stadio oylmpico and the goal he scored at the San Siro were reat European moments in my eyes.

I hate it as much as you but you know it would be 10 times worse if the boot was on the other foot. If I was Reyes I would have done it just to piss of Cicinho who shouldn't have even stayed on the pitch. Since when does deliberatly holding a player breakthrough not merit a yellow card?

Insepid, weak, gutless, shite, passionless, I could go on but whats the point?

Pires, Henry and Gilberto should be ashamed to pick up their inflated salaries this week, they were a disgrace. Henry looks like a confused man and its affecting the whole side. We need to buck our ideas up sharpish otherwise there will be NO european football at Ashburton next season which would be a tradegy.

Jens is now showing what a fantastic keeper he really is, he can be proud of how he played, he is the only one who can though mind.

Good to have Kolo back though...

What a difference a week makes eh?

Got a sore head this morning, I drink more when I am nervous! Just want to say thanks to Arsenal for cheering me up!! :applause:

Wenger got it right, he said they would do us proud!;)

my voice is totally gone from last night, i had a sore throat before hand and knew if i celebrated it would be lost.

i don't think any gooners think we are through, we are just enjoying our moment of glory...achieving something even the "mighty" manchester united couldn't.

hmm....green eyed monster anyone?

"One day, my son, all this will be yours."

Well that was alright wasn't it? I'm really struggling at work today with a bitch of a hangover, but hey it's not like you beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu every day. Actually, that's NEVER happened to any English side, ever. Well I can tell you it feels pretty damn sweet :D

Reyes and Ab Fab were simply awesome. Their Spanish roots and knowledge of the game was always going to be pivotal in this fixture, they played with guile and composure well beyond their years. To think Fabregas is still only 18 and yet to put in such a commanding and balanced performance at one of the most imposing stadia in the world is just incredible. A long and illustrious future awaits him, hopefully with the gunners.

I don't think Hose A has played with such a swagger since he scored those two goals to knock Chel$ki out of the FA cup in 03/04. That's how good he can be and that's why we need to stick with him until he's putting in those performances on the regular.

An honorable mention has to go to Eboue, who had Robinho (who?) in his back pocket all night, as well as Hleb, who's unpredictable and very quick feet gave him and the rest of the team the space to breathe. He started a little awkwardly but the boy has skills, he just need to learn to do in the prem.

Feck me, even Gilberto was good. Flamini... is not a left back, but he is a tireless worker in a job he doesn't want to do, which speaks volumes about his character. Kolo and Phil gave no love to Ronaldo (was he even playing?), and Jens is Jens, our most consistent player this season no doubt. Hasslehoff is knuckling down at the moment and has cut out a lot of the theatrics and heart-in-mouth moments. Serr gutt Jens!

Oh and the captain? A flat track bully? Not a big game player?

Shhhhh indeed :D
