You're such a drama queen Jonney. He's your best striker. Only RVP is close and he's more of a SS. The reason he's not playing well is bad harmony in the dressing room and he probably wants to leave.

Shame he's going to be of no use unless you get a defensive midfielder.
Rumours have it that Arshavin is having a medical tomorrow. Still feel he would be a decent signing if we can get him at a reasonable price.
Very true. Song just doens't cut it, and the most effort Diaby puts in on game day is pulling on the Arsenal shirt.
On the subject of Diaby, i am slightly annoyed that he is now playing in his preferred position, and still plays shite. How this guy is a professional footballer is beyond me.
Hmmm according to SKY he'll take any number, I bet it's a million more though if he can't get 10...He wants the number 10 shirt! bubye Gallas?
'Progressing' with the Ashavin transfer. I'm worried he's made no comment on the DMF/CB question.
I dont know whether you read that particular Wenger's Interview on Arsenal.com, but i remember that he said clearly that he does not need any one on the defensive side. He said that we have "enough" defensive players. I dont know by that who he meant. If he thinks they are Denilson and Diaby...then we still have a long long way to go.

If Arshavin lands up in Arsenal, for sure he'll be playing on the wing or probably AMF. As we all know that Fabregas is good defensively too, i think Arshavin might play AMF and Fabregas might turn up to be a DMF like Vieira.
I have no idea what we're doing this transfer window, and Wenger's comments on the Arshavin transfer - "if we don't sign anyone in January, we don't sign anyone" had me wanting to through my remote at the TV in disgust.
Come on mate, that's how AW plays they game. Always has done, always will do, in all likelihood. I've always had the impression that Wenger would prefer to never speak to the media if he had the choice. His view seems to be that by hyping up and responding to speculation you lower your chances of landing your targets, and I for one agree.
Imagine if it were the other way, if in his first Jan press conference Wenger came out and said, "Right, I want a centre back, defensive midfielder and a creative midfielder. Possibly a winger if I can squeeze a few more bin lids out of Peter Hill Wood and Danny Fiszman."
Can you imagine the drama? The Arshavin thing is already long, and that's just from one club letting details of negotiations slip. It would be a newsnow shit storm.
Wenger is in all likelihood always looking for players in all positions, but he's never going to come out and say that lest we become prime targets for the media circus, which is no help to anyone.
What happened to eduardo? before i went on holiday mid december, eduardo played a reserve match. i would of thought he would be at least on the bench now for arsenal?
Because if you look at the squad closely we need: GK, CBs, DMFs, AMF, a good CF.
