Arsenal Thread

Haha! I love the looks on Scarlett Johansson. I know she's married, but maybe someday... who knows?

Seriously now, I'm not sure Arse-shavin would make a real impact. He's expensive, plus it takes time to get used to the Premier League's fast pace and by the time he does, our creative players should be back. That or he could pick an injury!!

I'd like to see a holding DMF too, like Marcos Senna or Yaya Touré.

Yaya toure is now playing over Keita (guardiolas first option in the begining of the season) so i don't think neither him or Toure would want to leave the team, and lets face it Barcelona vs Arsenal atm its an obvious choice. A goal machine vs a kindergarten.
Arshavin is a bit overrated in my opinion the guy is actually old (27 now) and only plays if not marked cous when we watch Russias last game he was marked all the time and Russia lost cous he couldn't move out of the tight marking. You need first of all a DMF and a CB leader then you get a substitute for Fab.

Are you pissed?

No, he does that all the time :D
But the medical staff should be sacked though...

What could convince Yaya to play for us may be the opportunity to play with his brother?

I've read rumours about Xabi Alonso as well... Lets see

Not likely now that Kolo has handed in a transfer request. Not the same player since last years ANC.

What is it with your club? Every season there are people leaving or wanting to leave. If you got some stability, you'd be winning the league most years.

Thinking the same thing mate - every season we have a brilliant team, you can be sure we will lose key players and have to start again.

Talking about manager stability is one thing, but when you do not have team stability, then you're fucked.

Look at the team last season in Jan 2008

--------Almunia

Sagna...Toure...Gallas....Clichy

Hleb...Fabregas...Flamini...Rosicky

--------Adebayor....Eduardo

Compared with the team of Dec 2008

--------Almunia

Sagna...Toure...Gallas....Silvestre

-------------Song

Eboue...Denilson...Diaby...Nasri

------------Van Persie

The midfield just pales in comparison, while the defence of Jan 2008, while roughly the same, was playing with confidence at this point. This was a month before Gallas threw his toys out the pram at St Andrews.

All this talk from Arsene about us being 1-2% off is nonsence. Are you telling me that Song and Diaby would start for other teams in the premiership? The laziness that manifests itself in the team now is i beleive certain players think they are untouchable as the players in the second string or bench are our carling cup side - untested in the premiership.

fuck know's what's going on, but seriously, this season can't end quick enough, and then we're looking at another merry-go-round with Cesc and Adebayor being on the back of the Daily Mirror/Star/Sun/Sport everyday.

fab will go to barca at the end of the season. i cannot be asked busting a nerve over arsenal now. tbh i dont follow much of them recently as all i hear is bad news from them.

i still support them and want them to win but as far as i can see, our season is almost over and im just waiting for next season to see if where up for it and if where playing champions league football.

i went on holiday for most of december and at that space of time, arsenal diddnt win a single game and fab gets injured

I've been reading rumours about Real insterested in Wenger. But seriously, he wouldn't go there. It would be just plain stupid. He is with Arsenal since 1996 and in Real he would have no stability at all. Real sometimes sacks even a manager that won La Liga a season before... Remember Capello, right?

At Arsenal Wenger has no pressure compared to what he'd have in Real. Even at Arsenal he's pushing his luck as it is.

IMPROVEMENT!

was NOT achieved.

GAME OVER!
You have got 1 credit left.

That's probably our transfer window budget as well :(

Wenger may well go for loan signings.

Yeah, I've read about this. I just don't get it: first we read in the press that Arsenal is gonna open its safe for new signings. Then we get this small budget talk :(

Loan is the answer. Olivier Dacourt seems to be out there for the taking. Wenger better get things moving ASAP!

Sign N'zogbia on a loan and yaya toure permanently. Thats it we're done for winter then, i guess. But i think Wenger is not going for anyone this winter. If he doesnt sign anyone except his kids, then we have to forget about CL and FA Cup too.

Flamini has been unlucky with injuries. So now in DM we only have Ambrosini and Emerson available... Emerson is not starting 11 material, and Ambrosini isn't 100% fit. Senderos has been even more unlucky.... just after he recovered, he got another serious back injury, so has barely played. Thank god its a loan!

If every1 actually think about this for a bit, you'll understand that this month is going to be, by far, the most important month you will have from here beyond.
You don't buy any1, your done. Injured players come, they always come crap with no rhythm so you will only get 40% of what they can do; you don't buy experience you end up with, yet again, a season with no trophies and without Fab and Ade for the next season; You don't buy a creative and a striker that can fill your loses you have the same faith for the 2009/2010 season.
Every1 Gun fan should be praying that Arsene knows what he is doing cous he may screw up your next seasons if he doesn't do something..

where done already mate. our seasons over. too late to perform miracles mate. dont matter who we buy. arsenal are finished for the season with wenger to blame for letting players go so easily and relying to heavily on kids. Also his tactic choices have been poor. i mean bendter playing ahead of vele? piss off wenger.

when he does screw up next season, most of u lot will still be praising him and saying he shouldnt be sacked lol. he should be sacked at the end of the season IMO

eh? their are plenty of dedicated supporters that sometimes cant be asked with their team as they know theirs no hope for them.

we have just about the same chances of villa winning the title mate. FA cup is doable but arsenal cant beat weak teams most of the time and in the champions league we will get hammered against a real good side.

what can the likes of denilson and diaby do in the heart of our midfield
