Arsenal Thread

Well, that put some things in perspective the youth side played good ,but Juve did the business. They hardly attacked ,but Chiellini is a monster! I`m confident in watching Arsenal play today a lot of players getting a run .

I thought Ramsey played very well, especially when he beat the man in the box and almost scored. I think it was quite a good game, although it was a bit boring at times.

This shows we are missing something in the middle. Or Maybe pairing Nasri and Fabregas could solve the problems. i think the formation for 2day should be

Almunia/Fabianski

Sagna/Hoyte Song/Djourou Gallas/Senderos Clichy/Traore

Walcott Nasri/Diaby Fabregas Ramsey

Adebayor/Vela Bendtner

1-0 Nice win for us..good to see Jack come on and get into the game..

Wat was Diaby thinking with that challenge??(Not the first time,he has been sent off more than once last season)
I would'nt want to be even on a practice pitch with him.

No, But Diaby has made countless of dirty tackles, and what he did to Terry before (Even if it wasn't on purpose) is inexcusable.

I saw bits of the match, and I have to say Walcott looks very impressive, I love his way of playing, and I hope he gets a chance this season with Arsenal.

If it wasn't on purpose how can it be inexcusable? It was an accident. From what I remember he was trying to clear the ball and Terry put his head forward in a dangerous situation. It was very unfortunate.

I haven't seen the tackle yesterday - But If it was terrible then he should get a ban of some sort.

I agree I can't wait to see Walcott - I'm jsut praying he is Super Duper!!!!!

JT never had a problem about it (other than a shocking headache!) and I don't remember a single Chelsea fan ever being seriously pissed off about it either. Just one of those things.

I haven't seen this incident either, but Diaby doesn't strike me as the sort of shitbag who would do it on purpose.

Eboue on the other hand..... :-pp

Thats what I thought - It was just very bad - Like a clash of heads, but worse obviously.

Eboue is a knob I would be the first to admit it and nothing would suprise me with him.

Not sure on Diaby though - Haven't seen a great deal of him to comment.

Managed to catch second half yesterday - thought some serious plus points for the gunners! Adebayor looked really dangerous and up for it - pretty good shout for prem's leading scorer methinks. Walcott looked pretty good to, and Wilshere was really talented for his age.

Only downside was Diaby 'well patrick vieira was always allowed to tackle from behind so I guess I can too' ruining Sneijders season. Personally up to that point i was impressed with teh aggresiveness of the Arsenal defending, they were really going in with challenges, but thought Diaby's was waaaayyy over the top for a friendly. How the ref missed I do not know.

But I would say your first XI will challenge on all fronts. The problem will be injuries, particularly to Gallas/Toure :(

Thats the thing - our team will always challenge - But we always have injuries which spoil it for us.

So We need a bigger squad - but it doesn't look like we are getting it.

If we get alot of luck with injuries then I honestly think we can win the Prem.

Well actually I mentioned it because a Chelsea fan told me about it :-pp so I'm probably wrong. But what did Eboue do? I missed that

I also heard Senderos pulled off a move on Robinho, what did he do?

Eboue didn't do anything...talk about your reputation preceeding you!

Diaby's tackle was clumsy but look at it again and he won the ball cleanly. Don't really think you can blame him for that one.

Having not seen enough of this guy for nearly 2 seasons i nearly forgot how good Van Perse is! Top player and if he can stay injury free with Adebayor uptop i can see him being the suprise player this season. Walcott is looking good but i thought he was supposed to be moved to a striker this season?

your joking right? he went in two feet first, doesnt matter if you win the ball or not when you do something that reckless.

I think maybe Clock got the wrong end of the stick. Eboue didn't do anything yesterday.

But it's only a matter of time, eh Clock? ;)

MATT1288 got the wrong end of the stick not me....

Yep Eboue is a disgrace and he should be sold forthwith....seriously I do not know 1 Arsenal fan who actually rates him!!

No I am not joking, although I have only seen the challenge when it happened, I will have another look later....none of the Madrid players were particularly bothered about it and usually that tells its own story.

Alonso would be a great signing for you guys. Not only his positional defending really strong, he also has a great eye for a quick release pass to the front men. With him and Cesc you'd greatly resemble Scholes and Carrick, except with a younger, more energetic magician leading the way.
