poor Lemon 3 goals in 17 min. Vela and Bendtner looks promising and what can you say about English Wil (great future)

Bendtner + Vela = class. Walcott granted his first team position as RMF. Nasri didn't do much.

Denilson looked very poor - maybe he was tired from monday, and we still don't have a partner for Cesc. I'm starting to think we may see Touré as DMF (better him than Eboué).

Edit:
1-0 Basturk
1-1 Vela
1-2 Bendtner
1-3 Wilshere

Wenger said:
Frenchman content with current striking options

Arsene Wenger is confident Arsenal have more than enough firepower having ruled out making a move in the transfer market.

Last season's top goalscorer Emmanuel Adebayor has been the subject of interest from AC Milan but now looks likely to stay at Emirates Stadium for another season at least.

When taking this into account, in addition to the return from injury of Robin van Persie, Wenger is confident a title challenge can be mounted on the back of their collective powers.

And with Nicklas Bendtner, Carlos Vela and Theo Walcott all having enjoyed impressive pre-seasons, Arsenal's French tactician is predicting bright times ahead.

"We are not as short of strikers as people thought," he told the club's official website.

"We have Vela, who has integrated well into the team, and Bendtner was a force at the end of last season. He will confirm that again this year.

"In all the areas in total we are perhaps one player short. But up front we don't need anyone."

Glad to see Bischoff wasn't the player to fill the void next to Fab.

I doubt Wenger would gamble on the DM position with someone who is injury prone and inexperienced. Bischoff has the potential to be a useful squad player, given his versatility but he probably lacks the potential/ability to become a regular starter. Think Darren Fletcher.

Good performance from our boys yesterday, though. My fav player yesterday was Vela and he was on for only about 40 minutes.

Inler is 24. imo hes talented but a bit overrated. Has some flair, and I can see why Wenger would want him... but if you guys wanted a big and strong guy for tackling, hes not the one.

What do you guys honestly reckon with Vela this season? I have really high hopes for him on the Arsenal team (I mean HUGE, like break Henrys scoring record in the future, mark my words). Lets say Adebayor and Van Persie stay 100% fit throughout most the season (and midway thru the season Eduardo gets off the crutches and decides to have a run out) Do you think he'll see a lot of first time action ahead of those 2 (or 3) considering Walcott plus others will be trying to get his nose in there too.

Vela will probably share time on the wings with Nasri and Walcott till Rosicky comes back, then I'm pretty sure Nasri will be benched with Vela unless he shows some amazing returns... Although I'd love to see Walcott in front, it's just not possible atm with Ade, RVP and Bendtner available...

If Walcott plays the super sub role again it'll just hinder his growth further...

DuDu will probably only see Carling Cup play for most of the season till he can prove he can play at the highest level again... I honestly don't expect him to be truly be back till at least after January regardless of what the physio may say...
