don't know if we really need villa cuz we got Adebayor-scores1in4, V. Persie wich would be the double trouble couple in front + Edy, C. Vela, Bendtner. were would villa fit? in v. persie's place?
 
You guys still have Eduardo to come back. I wouldnt say you really need someone up front just yet. You need to look to tighten up at the back IMO.
 
Wow, am surprised to see that, was sure he was coming our way. I think he'll be a good signing - a serious rarity, young, bright future and British!

I think he chose to live in London personally, and I don't blame him at all :)

I think the Wenger factor might have had a bit to do with it!
 
Let`em have the Carling Cup comp. but stay away from league well ,maybe Stokes ,but the rest in reserves!

I do think its hilarious how Manutd posted on their Official site talking about jumping the gun. The differences to me is SAF phone him while AW flew them like a movie star :LOL:
 
He came here probably becoz he wanted play in the Premiership. If he had gone to United, they would have loaned him back to Cardiff. and secondly becoz of the youth policy in Arsenal

What's that? If you're English, don't play them for two years then sell them to Blackburn?
Seriously, I don't think he'd have got many games at United as our big potential there is Anderson. Also, as I mentioned before, a couple of his best mates are at Spurs.
 
I dont think hes going where his mates are or not. He wants to play in the Premiership, which United wont offer in the 1st season atleast and then he would also want someone who are of his age. We never sold Walcott to Blackburn, did we?? You know the Manager has to do all the talkings when you bring kids to their clubs. Fergie apparently was on a holiday when Ramsey came to take a tour of OT, Wenger wasnt on one. United's offer was liked by the chairman, but not the player.

The lure of London, I know that it got me too! Its probably closer to home too. Arsenal also have a reputation of using young players that came through their ranks too.
 
We flew him and his family out to Switzerland by private jet to meet Arsene Wenger and discuss his role. Man Utd got Gary Neville to show him around Old Trafford. Not really a contest was it?? :LOL:

Anyway, I hope he does well, it'd be great to get some good young 'local' talent in l'arsenals squad!
 
I really believe SAF thought a phone call was enough, not knowing his parents had some concerns meeting the Boss face 2 face. AW been dealing w/ kids and their parent and knows what needs to be done, but it`s up to the kid to perform or he`s off. You can only lead a horse to water

Whats with all this Adebayor BS linking us?? He said himself that he wont leave, and we said that we can't get him... so where are these rumors coming from??? Could be his agent trying to get a pay rise?
