This something ive posted in all the main Prem threads, what do you lot think about the FIFA rule that seems like is going to happen with a max of 5 foreign players and how will it affect your club?

I read that they have just voted to let Sepp Look into it properly. Nothing else.
He will find it hard to make it happen as it contrevenes alot of European laws.
If it does happen of course it will hit Arsenal Hard - I think it is a bad mistake. I care about my Team more than the England team - I think it will be detrimental to the Premiership.

Today I woke up with the news on the radio saying that if FIFA is really to establish this rule, they may have to face court, cause the Football Federations in Europe are likely to sue them for going against the EU policies of integration.
It would affect heavily Arsenal, more than any other club in the Premier League. Personally, I think it would be yet another disastrous decision by FIFA under the Blatter administration.

They should know that when people support clubs, its not for how many home-grown players are playing, its becoz the way they play. No one goes to see how many English players play or anything. Then, i still dont understand why they are wanting to do this.

The Prem has more than 60% foreign players. I think thats what theyre concerned about. It also means that star players in their own leagues get taken away so their leagues remain at the level theyre at. I'm borderline for this FIFA decision, I havent really chosen my side yet.
it seriously contradicts E.U. regulations & directives. it's from last century, it boots up nationalism. if you take it literally it's illegal in the E.U. IMO.
this so called protection of native playres can be done in different way. for example the obligation of having an youth academy, or the organization of it.
a bigger problem IMO are the druggs to increase performance. if you think players can play in this rythm just bcuz of training or only cycling has this problem, then no comment...

you made my point then and that`s why more and more want to See the EPL. Your view won`t be an issue ,because most top foreigners will leave their beloved club anyhow. They can probably resolve this problem by putting salary caps oops! that won`t effect Arsenal, FIFA need to be careful w/ their political battle. I can`t see English football losing their brand due to failures in other countries who can`t keep up! In a capitalist society improve or be left behind the 60,70,80,90`s are gone The World is smaller now due to technology.
Milanista your young ,but lived in different countries ,I`m sure you seen more than the average (never left their city of birth) not surprise how your in the UK ATM whether it`s demands or opportunity . You find yourself growing cause your not design to be bottled up. Imagine young footballers dreaming of growth,Yes, their beloved city today ,but tomorrow elsewhere..why limit his dream due to birth right or too many on this club for you to come in go back to your city. This act of FIFA`s intentions could be spot on ,but the out come could be disastrous.

It has been reported that Barca maybe offering their Yahya Toure for our Hleb. Now thats some good offer i guess. I think we should accept it!! Toure would properly replace Flamini!

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is planning a bid for Olympique Lyon winger Hatem Ben Arfa.
The Mirror says the young France international is on Wenger's shopping list, along with Marseille's Samir Nasri and Hamburg midfielder Piotr Trochowski.

I dont understand that Both Ben Arfa and Nasri would be perfect for Hleb's position, and i havent heard abt Arsenal signing a replacement for Flamini at all. Wat abt the Centre-Back signing?? I hope we really sign some good and experienced players. Now Wenger has said that he may sign Nasri AFTER Euro 2008!

Trochowski is a CMF amf (dmf) player. I know when Romania played against Germany he played in front of the defence, but is very good for the attack. also has a very very strong shoot.
I don't think Wenger sees a problem with a center-back... :|
IMO, we need: 1 GK, maybe 1 CB, 1 DMF, 1 AMF.
