Arsenal Thread

Arsenal seem kinda "searching" for something to make the team more stable and effective, how are transfers going for you guys?
 
All i know is that Nasri will be playing for Arsenal. Wenger is on Al Jazira Sports channel for the Euros daily and he's mentioned it a couple of times already. He didn't like when france's manager pulled out Nasri and thought it should've been govou.
 
Makoun went to lyon.
I'd prefer a tall strong dmf instead of a small flamini type one.
I don't think AW will buy anyone with big name/ exposure. He seems determined to make a team of youngsters and grow it to be great. Let's just hope he'll succeed. I'm optimistic abt it, cuz we've done alot better than any team would have done in our place (players, experience). AW has grew up alot of very good players...even the ones wich left Arsenal. This stands out even more if u compare it to other teams.

p.s.: how crap can Titi play nowadays... :|
 
I would rather we didn't sell him actually.

If we get Nasri and Arshavin. Also a defender I think we are sorted. Maybe another defensive minded midfielder.

I think Walcott and Van Persie will come good this season. I know Persie will if he keeps fit.

Nasri is signing tomorrow!! You just wait and see.

I think we seriuosly need a top class keeper over everything else. Almunia is not up to it IMO.

I don`t like Stan he listens more to players then Bosses. Example NBA team player(Carmelo Anthony) spoke to him to bring in Allen Iverson and he brought him in at a very HIGH Cost!!! and the manager didn`t really have a say. IMO it didn`t bring stability to the team (Denver Nugget). I don`t follow the game(NBA) but Im interested in knowning who is this Stan character.Im also bored so I research a bit here and there. So an American on the board is very suspect

AI and Carmelo Anthony can play well together, their team's short comings are not because of either player, infact, with the both of them and their big man Camby to hold their hands, they've been a potent offensive squad and reached playoffs... their problems lie with lack of depth in their rotation... having said that... It wasn't a poor decision on Stan's part to listen to Carmelo... further more, Head Coaches are more like the managers in football and in the NBA they rarely have a say in moving players unless they're someone like Phil Jackson or Pat Riley... GM's or General Managers get the say...

anyways... whoever said to give adebayor the #14... i wouldn't... he'd grow a bigger ego if u gave him that...

Why? :SS I have never seen him having an ego. The only thing i ever see is that even after, so many bids from AC Milan and Barcelona, hes still committed to Arsenal. and He has never even 'indirectly' mentioned that Arsenal were better becoz of him or becoz of his 30 goals. The main reason he wants to stay is becoz he wants to develop more and he knows that he can do it by staying in Arsenal.
Having an Ego is when most of the people dont like them, and still they 'themselves' claim that "They are the BEST". and when they are supposed to show loyalty to the club that developed you, and got you the Player of the year award, and actually made u great, but still u wanna leave that club, is having an ego about urself. Well we all know who i'm talking about, hes not in Arsenal.
 
Ade,he's a man who can score 30 goals in a season!but bendtner,he can score 50 in a season!to sale ade maybe a good choice!

Really you think Bendtner can score 50 a season?!!! :LOL:

I hope so mate - but I very much doubt it - I would rather Adebayor than Bendtner anyday - If I had to choose :DD

Me too but I don't mind selling Ade for mega bucks if we can replacing him with quality. Samuel Eto'o anyone? :DD

If we can get Eto plus a few million - I wouldn't be unhappy.

But then there is the risk of how Eto would respond in the english league - We already know Adebayor can handle it and has done very well last season.
 
Eto'o has passed his big days. He won't get back to Ronnie - Eto'o days.
Ade will grow from one season to the next. Selling him will be a big mistake.
14 doesn't match Ade, and he knows it. Kanu's 25 is perfect for him. IMO it's obvious, he's like Kanu's evil twin. :)
and speaking abt numbers: whould Gallas drop his 10 already?! it's becoming ridiculous.
