it's frustrating to see always Arsenal playing better but then loosing...
i still think the team is very good, but it needs 2 or 3 players. liverpool has proven that it had the players wich although didn't play extraordinary they had one or two moments of shine and that made the difference. those kind of players are needed, but you can't make them out of youngsters, you need to invest some money.

Gutted about the game. Doesn't matter what anybody says Liverpool Won the game with two Penalty decisions that went in their favour.

You would have never had got the fourth if the ref didn't give you that Pen and we didn't have everyman up front. So Even mentioning that goal is stupid.

You got helped out in both games by the Ref.

We were the better Team over both legs and when we got our second last night we should have kept it that way.

How the Ref was a 100% sure it was a pen is beyond me. If he was not a 100% sure in the last 7 Mins of a Champions League Quarter finals - he should never have given it. The fact that it wasn't a penalty (Toure hardley touched him) suggests to me he was not 100% sure. Thats Disgraceful.

anyway it is all over now. Most teams I would wish them luck in the next game - most teams that would beat us and play better than us - but I jsut can't bring myself to wish you luck.

Its strange aswell - because I hate Chelsea so much (Alot!!!1) but I really hope they beat you in the Semis.

I know its all about results - but we deserved to go through and you got through by two very bad Pen decisions not the football you played. So thats why us Arsenal Supporters are not giving you credit for getting through - Because the bottom line is you didn't deserve it!!!!
 
You were unlucky with the first penalty. So because you didn't get that penalty, the opposition are NEVER allowed a penalty unless the forward gets his leg broken?

We've had ridiculous decisions go against us this season, the ref has helped the opposition in a lot of games against us.

And you weren't the better team last night, sorry. For the first thirty minutes or so maybe, after that, sorry but no.

Over the 2 legs we just shaded it as the better team, so 2-2 last night and us going thorugh on away goals would have just about been right...the ref put paid to that though.

Put simply, you were lucky. End of.

Last night it was about equal - but we were definately the better team the first leg - no question!! You played very negatively in the first leg. I said we deserved to go through over both legs and we did.

I'm saying the pen last night - was definately not a stone wall Penalty and in that type of situation I think it needs to be to justify it. It wasn't and it was a very bad decision - I think anyway.

For you guys to bring up that you have beaten us 5-3 on Aggregate aswell (That means it showed you were the better team) to prove your points is ridiculous aswell - as the fourth goal has no effect on the game, as you would never had got that if the ref didn't give you a dubious pen.

Walcott has impressed me more this side of the season than the beginning. He needs more games and I'd like to see him play up-front more.
 
Clock I fear Arsenal more than any other team in England. You have quality everywhere I look. You need one or two more signings in the summer and I can see you seriously challening on all fronts next year. :(
 
Yeah!! Its Treble next season for sure!! Just read that Diego of Werder Bremen would be happy to come to Arsenal. Even Robinho from Real is being Monitored. Now bring em on!! and I want Liverpool in the Semis or Quarters again with 2nd leg at Anfield!! and for sure Barcelona in the finals!!
 
Diego would fit right in at Arsenal. I just hope your board give Wenger some cash this summer - he really needs to add to the squad if they are serious about gunning for all major silverware. :)
 
He has cash (70M), but hes more interested in developing players than buying. He calls that real Football. Hes rite, but he needs more players to develop. He should know that we dont need Stars but we need decent players like Diego or Queresma. Eduardo was a Decent purchase and he actually started developing well.
I have even heard rumours about Wenger eyeing Obafemi Martins and N'Zogbia from Newcastle.

He has cash, we are swimming in the stuff but he chooses not to spend it..I think Wenger has to be applauded for this but lets be realistic here, with a bit of investment in January we would have freshened things up a bit and maybe, just maybe been able to go the distance in the league.

One of my Gooner mates summed it up last night, he said that Arsenal have one and a half decent teams, Liverpool have 2, Chelsea and United have 2 and a half.

We need real investment in this squad over the summer. 1 keeper, 2 central defenders, cover for Sagna (eboue and Hoyte can go), genuine wide left width and a top quality goalscorer. All that before we think of cover for people like Rosicknote, Hleb, Flamini (if he's still here) and Clichy.

Plan M mate, we are much further away from where you think we will be, if you know what I mean!

Fact Number 1:

We should have had a penalty in the first leg just as you did

There was far more contact in the Babel incident than the Hleb incident.

Fact Number 3

Farbregas dived in the PL game at the Emirates. No one does a 360 spin after being touched on their arm.

Fact Number 4

Flamini handled the ball in the lead up to your first goal

Fact Number 5.

Fabregas attempted to rip Babel's shirt off to stop him scoring our FOURTH.
 
You guys faced us FOUR times, yes FOUR times this season, and failed to beat us on all four occassions. Can't you just admit that for all your pretty football, it does not affect us?

And we were, by far, the superior team after the first 30 mins. I thought you would rip us apart, but we fought back, and the whole 2nd half, were hopeful punts to Adeboyor, of which he won very few.

Score a nice goal, had a wonderful chance with Adebayor to finish the game off and played some OK football.. Tell me what did Liverpool do in the 1st 30 mins? At Fortress Anfield? go a goal down and play like a team that doesnt know how to play football!
