Arsenal Thread

I have no problem with hoofing the ball. It's not against the rules. And sometimes you NEED to do it. But we are labeled as the hoofer, yet you were the ones who did it more this game.

Loved the 'HOOOF' chants as well :-pp
.

the difference is we send the ball to a player you lots doing it every game as a plan A,B & C which is called Kick-n-Hope... I must admit pool knows European football hopefully you can stay up 4th spot

Hmm I can understand the pain guys, but really, lets face it, everyone hates being beaten by Liverpool. And considering all the comments from Arsenal players about us being boring, and Arsenal being gods gift to football, the we invented pass and move bullshit after having bored the English league shitless for 90 odd years

You just can't face us twatting FOUR, YES FOUR, goals past you. No doubt the press will be up in arms because their golden boys were somehow robbed by a scorline of 5-3 on aggregate. No dount the ref knew Babel despite living 5 million miles away.

You had four games to beat us and you didn't. Give us some credit.

I dont usually takes this much pleasure in beating certain teams, but this Arsenal result ranks up there with Chelsea in 05 and 07. Purely because of the arrogance and how everyone slags us off time and time again, and continues to doubt us time and time again.

It just makes it all the more sweeter.

FFS! It would have been 4 draws had the ref not got excited at the end there.

4 words for you...

No Premier League titles...

What is it now 18 years and counting?

We had NO luck in the tie and best team lost over the 2 legs, you will be found out in the semi's I am sure. If you make the final lets hope United smash you 5-0, at least they play the game the way its meant to be played.

Good night.

Good night, sleep tight, dont let the bed bugs bite :)

Great performance from you lot. the first 20 - 25 minutes it was just a massacre and then you lot conceded a silly goal and the scouse were back in it. I went MENTAL when Walcott checked 1 then 2 and the rest of those Liverpool players around him and crossed it in an AMAZING moment he's won me over after that. and for all the funny things in football Liverpool get a Pen which isn't one after what happened in the 1st leg that was just the type of thing that would happen. Liverpool V Chelsea AGAIN the bore fest begins 2 weeks from now. really would have LOVED a United Arsenal final it would have been for me the 2 best final possible along side Barca V you lot, Overall unlucky lads:applause:

And now the Arsenal fans resort to Football est 1992! I'm loving it.

Seriously, what's with the Liverpool hatred at times? The slightest reason to be pissed off with us and they start saying we haven't won the league for years ... oh right, we didn't know that, thanks for letting us know!

It's similar to fans thinking they're funny when they sing "Sign On" like it's actually going to upset us or something.

Yeah, we haven't won the league and yeah Arsenal have since. I'll get a badge sent out to you. Congratulations and all that shit :D

As your compatriate mr Plan M says, 'you make your own luck' & no one's asking you to watch youngblunt-knifegun_uk

Anyway, not in here to talk crap. Just came in here to say that it was a very good game. Good display by both teams again. Nail biter, was sweating at the end of the game. Arsenal pushed us all the way, and i guess taht brought out the best. The mental strength that Le Prof. talked about before the game was evident here tonight. He was right, the team that wanted to win the most, would go on to win it.

Walcott. What can we say? Thanking my stars that he wasnt on earlier. But whatever time this boy is getting on the pitch, he's proving that he's going to develop into a fine fine young player. Pace, control, 'mentalitee' (as rafa says) and above all, a very very cool head and fiery feet. Wow! That was some run!!

And to close, had we gone out tonight, i wouldnt be very sad. We would have gone out to a very very good team.

Anyway, great game, enjoyed every moment. Hope for more of this from the 2 clubs!

Cheers guys!!:redscarf::cheers:

Good night.

United have to discuss a semi-final place with Roma first and Liverpool have to discuss a final place with Chelsea. So, if you are assuming that, you're very naive.

Hmmm...calm down mate. Your saying all this in the heat of the moment. It was a good game. Good show by both teams.

:NONO: You are talking out of your Arsène again.

Senderos I guess found Samis experience tough to handle. For the first goal, Senderos was looking at Sami, and not the ball. Before the ball was played, Sami made a small run to his left to check if Senderos was looking and concentrating on him, Senderos followed him on that run, so Sami, as soon as the ball was played, cut back right, leaving Senderos for dead, and scored.

I would be the first one to congratulate you if you had deserved the win and been the better side over the 2 legs, but you weren't.

Shame you can't be the better man and come out and admit it. The tie hinged on those 2 penalty decisions and deep down you know that.

Anyway back to Arsenal, Walcott has to start EVERY game from now until the end of the season, Eboue can go and do one.

Great match from a neutrals point of view, high tempo, exciting, chances well taken - great stuff! I honestly think Arsenal are just too tired at the moment. The way the played the first 25 minutes would have wiped every team on Earth off the pitch, but they just can't maintain the pace and movement the whole match. And when they settled, the game ebbed in Pool's favour. For me Arsenal didn't really show up second half. Other than a fluke ball getting to Adebayor and Walcott showing that he is, in case anyone didn't know, faster than everyone else, you lot didnt' really do anything of note. Pool had all the pressure, and while I agree it doesn't always look as pretty as the little passign triangles, it told in the end.

Anytime I see Wenger whine about a penalty like that, I juts think of Pires against Portsmouth I beleive. Kick ball, run into box dive and roll. Gets em every time. IMO it was a foul - but just outside the box. The real reason he fell over was someone (couldnt' see, fab?) had a firm hold of his trailing arm and pulled him back, he then stumbled into Toure, who didn't really do much wrong. But there you go.

Fair comment mate buts its hard to take losing the tie to a decision like that. Think about it if it had been United. Added to the stone wall pen we should have got in the 1st leg and I think we have good reason to feel hard done by.

I've always thought Senderos was shit. And I said it on here a while ago and I got slated for it saying I don't watch them every week and he's a quality player. Who was that who said that to me?

Is Eboue that bad? I think he's a decent player to be honest. I thought Lauren was a good player at Arsenal too though.

Senderos has a bad game and everyone is coming down on him...I still rate him and there is definately a place for him in our squad. Eboue can go and do one for all I care, not good enough defensively to play at right-back, doesn't do enough offensively to play at right-mid, he is just a liability. He has played right-mid most of the season and hasn't scored yet and only got 1 assist. Thats not good enough...and all this from a guy keeping Theo out of the team.

I fucking knew he did, the missus thought so as well.

i laughed my ass off when he said the cock instead off kop

thought to myself"yeh that sounds about right"
mighty performance tonight! they had no answer to you beautiful football, they did though have all the decisions again just like the ist tie and the two men sent off against inter, but chins up guys you did yourselves proud.

I just can't be bothered replying :) It's like Deja Vu, everyday I come into work, fire up Evo-Web, see B4L/Chico have posted something so ridiculously biased and tinted, respond to comment, repeat and repeat until 5pm, go home. Go into work the next day .... and repeat. Getting a bit tiresome now :)
