Arsenal Thread

You guys need to hold him. He reminds me of Ambrosini. At the beginning he was just a sub and wasn't really valued by Milan fans but in the last few years he started playing and showed that he's incredibly passionate and useful. He even made the Italy squad and has become our new captain after Maldini. I see Flamini as the same type of player and am convinced that he will sign for you guys and possibly become an icon!

Flamini is becoming indespensible for us. If he doesn't sign a new contract and stay......I think I might cry!!!!

did you manage to catch Flamini...he was running and biting so much I swore he took Almunia`s gloves on during a save .On a serious note he tackle and pass the ball in the same motion. Imo opinion he has to be our next captain

I agree and so does he...

Nothing wrong with Toure mate, but Gallas did himself no favours against Brum. Stepped up to the plate i thought last night, but needs to keep his toys in his pram. Flamini was immense, and i hope he doesn't do a Cashley.

Mate I recorded the match on V+ and watched it late last night, much better game than ours.

I'll be honest, I used to doubt Flamini's abilites but not anymore, he is turning out to be a fantastic midfielder. Thing about last night which is great for your young guns is that they won't fear Old Trafford OR Stamford Bridge in the league now; they just beat the European Champions on their patch 2-0! :))

Yeah last night was all about confidence. They went out there and just looked fearless. Unlike our last prem winning side theres no arrogance, they worked hard and i was just so proud of them. listening to some ppl on the radio and stuff, some bitterness out there. great win for us regardless of how old milans players are

A fantastic game really! Very proud of the Gunners right now. I've never seen Milan being outplayed like that in San Siro! Their midfield didnt stand a chance, and the main responsible for that were Flamini and Fabregas.
And I'm very happy with Theo's performance too.

On a side note, its never too much to pay our respects to Maldini, a living legend, 40 yrs old and playing like that!

If we don't win the European Cup this season then I hope you guys do. You've put together a squad without the millions that United, Liverpool and Chelsea have had at their disposal and you look like a VERY good unit. It's hard to pick flaws with your current crop of players, maybe you could do with a new Keeper & get rid of Senderos but right now I'd be very happy if Arsenal were my team. To top it all, you play the game the beautiful way and that's how it should be played. :)

I can definitely see you lot Winning tomorrow, you lot have had a little blip and need to prove something and i think that will be the case a good 1-0 win i think :)

I know what im talking about:SMOKIN: you lot were AMAZING:w00t: the game felt wierd as i watched it! you were all over Milan in the first 45 and it became more even in the 2nd but wow Fabregas is amazing and have to admit he did something Ronaldo still hasn't done do a breathtaking performance in the Champions League against one of the Giant clubs Congrats lads hope to see you in the final:DANCE::beer:

We really needed this win. As I said in my last post after the Villa game, I thought our Premiership status hinged on this result, if we had lost i would have actually feared the worst for us in the Premiership. I had a feeling we wouldn't beat Villa but beat Milan, funny when it works out that way. Things are really going to have to go our way though to maintain top spot in the league, United really don't look like slipping up anytime soon, they are such a strong unit. Arsenal have done immense so far but they need more consistency in their game, especially on the defensive end.

We have a serious chance of winning CL this season. and with the Quarter finals draw i would want Barcelona. let no.14 know what we have become without him and ofcourse the 2006 revenge is still left.

I'd rather get Barca then Utd tbh, dont want any english teams yet. 2 games against Utd or Chelsea would be too exhausting at this stage it think

Well its one of:

Roma
Schalke
Man Utd
Chelsea
Fenerbahce
Barcelona
Inter\Liverpool

I don't really care who we get, you have to beat the big teams to get anywhere in this competition. Its a cup competition anyway, the teams are going to be fairly evenly matched so its going to be close whatever.

I have a sneaky suspicion it will be Barca though and we have unfinished business to attend to!

Amen to that!!

I would love to beat Barca - But I would love to do it more in the Final itself.

wenger said he wants barca in the semi's, i think that would be perfect tbh, i do want to play them at some point though, i think we would beat them. next round maybe roma or fenerbahce, then an english team in the final. thats what i would like anyway. dont want an all english quater final though..

i am praying and hoping for an ARSENAL & BARCA finale as well...

with all the odds, ups and downs you lot encountered this year, no one could have wrote a script better than that... :)

just imagine the hype... destiny indeed!
