Arsenal Thread

I'll take staying in contention with Manchester United coming up to the duel at Old Trafford. Simple as. I think we've proved a lot about ourselves this season. This is the most enjoyable season so far in many seasons from a footballing perspective and i love that we are up there in the thick of the action. Can't wait for the rest of the season to unfold. May the best team win.

Van Persie will be a key component to our title challenge, how quick can he gets back to being 100% could be make or break. I was upset when he went down as I thought he was going to have a thorough breakout season, could you imagine if he had been fit the whole season? I'm not saying we would be better or worse but he adds a whole different dimension to our team IMO, Boro next Saturday, I think we will beat them 3-0. I hate being cocky but I've predicted the results of our last 4 matches. I think its going to be 3-0 to Arsenal on Saturday.
 
I managed to get a ticket to the Middlesbrough game on saturday :DANCE:

Hopefully we give a convincing show and hopefully I see Van Persie get his scoring boots back on.

We have to win this game - they are playing rubbish!!!
 
The thing is IceMan, teams do that EVERY game at Old Trafford & teams do it at Chelsea and Liverpool too.

The best teams can overcome this and beat their opposition. You can only beat what's in-front of you in football, I hate it when people get pissy because a weaker team plays defensively - why shouldn't they when they don't have the quality of Arsenal, United, L'pool or Chelsea?
 
aye.. the quality questions raises it's head again. I'm just being bias my friend :)

But are the fans of these teams happy to see them just sit in front of their penalty areas for 90mins.

Dogged - Committed - well marshalled.... All too often i hear this. Maybe this is a subject for a new thread... i'm going off on a tangent.
 
I can see your points mate, I really can.

I never understand how Chelsea supporters put up with their team playing SO negatively at HOME. That baffles me.

At the end of the day, our teams play the best football in the country, we are used to being entertained i.e. we get to eat steak every week! ;)
 
I think we will get Liverpool or Barca. Of course this is just pure guess work from me...

More important for me is 3 points tomorrow against Boro! We need to get our challenge back on track.

Come on lads! You can do them. Going to the Anfield in the second-leg is gonna be a TOUGH task though. What a fixture for the neutral! Beautiful passing football v stategic, long-ball football.

Just kidding L'pool supporters! ;)
 
We can do it, if we play like we did over the 2 legs v Milan then I am confident. GOT to keep a clean sheet at home.

We also play them in the league in between the ties, so we get them 3 times in 7 days. Isn't it amazing when that happens!
 
Like I've said ALL along, if we can't win it I want you lot to. I reckon if you avoid anymore injuries then you'll have more than enough in the locker.

gonna be interesting, we havent had an english team since chelsea so its a bit more familiar territory for liverpool.

i fancy our chances, we've got enough over the 2 legs i think, but as liverpool show nearly every year in this competition they arent to be taken lightly. if we win it its gonna most likely be liverpool then chelsea...then utd..? be very interested

Hope tomorrow's game is the start of another Wonderful run of form,we need a big win tomorrow,it will be difficult run after that without confidence,Hoping for another unbeaten run...

THe draw could've been better - but I think we can beat Liverpool 3 times :DD

But we have to keep up in the league and Tomorrow is Vital - If we don't win - I think we are fucked.
