Arsenal Thread

it has been done again, St. Nick has done it again. he saved our asses again. Arsenal played like shite 2day. i dont know wat was wrong with Senderos and Diaby. And I dont know whats seriously wrong with Adebayor. F**king missed 3 chances. I hope this is not repeated for the AC Milan game. and i hope Wenger doesnt play his Shitty 4-5-1 formation. PLEASE RVP and ROSICKY, WE NEED YOU!!!! GET WELL SOON!!!

Just read that Kaka and likely Seedorf missing Tuesday, should be a great advantage! Milan without Kaka is unimaginative, and not really able to create much...whereas you guys have a knack of pulling things out of the bag in the last 10 minutes, I see a 1-1 draw with the arse going through...

You lucky lot.I actually applauded when Nic Bendtner scored, was lucky enough to catch it after our game was done.Still on top eyy but not for long I sense.Take care now and dont look down the edge cause you might fall...

Nah, Milan will score within the first ten minutes, then soak up all the pressure and tension in the match by playing it around and diving to the floor for the next 80.

Haha.

I hope you lot beat Milan on Tuesday; like I've said before, it's boring seeing Milan win the European Cup for the neutral and it keeps you in the competition longer stetching your squad for longer. If you only have the league to concentrate on then it makes life more difficult for us.

Also, it's Italy v England, be nice to see you beat them. But it is AC Milan AT the San Siro. Toughest fixture in Europe in my opinion. :)

Hope you lot beat Milan - it'll give United more chance at the league :) !
Plus I just don't think they're that good, or rather, that they play that good football. They summarily dumped United out at the San Siro last year, but that was one of those days where nothing went right, from Seedorf's(!) perfectly hit volley into the bottom corner to Evra providing comic relief in defense...I wasn't that impressed with them.

Think you lot should be fine, you'll create chances. Is Dida still out?

Dida still out, injured his shoulder leaning against the back of the bench.

Kalac will play, but Seedorf is a major doubt. Pirlo and Kaka were rested so they will be ready to play.

Persil should be on the bench - let's hope for a non occurence of his injury, or we'll have only 2 strikers for the remainder of the season, and they both hate each other!

Dida wouldnt play if he were fit anyways, Kalac has done too good lately. Dida was actually fit for a few games before his bench injury and he never got to play, Nesta Pirlo Kaka and Maldini are back Seedorf is a maybe atm but emerson and jankulovski will def miss the game

I'd like to see Arsenal win the Premiership and I think most Birmingham fans we agree.

It's a shame that Eduardo had such an appalling injury as we have built a good relationship with Arsenal over the years and it would be sad if one poor challenge ruined.

I can't make my mind up about Adebayor sometimes he looks amazing other times he's got the finishing of Clinton Morrison...(Still can't believe Steve Bruce bought him for 4M Plus AJ - worst deal in our history).

Anyway good luck Arsenal.

Nice post mate - Well done on beating the scum on saturday :))

VAN PERSIE BACK FOR MILAN TIE

Arsenal have included striker Robin van Persie in the squad which travelled to Italy for Tuesday night's Champions League clash against AC Milan.

The Dutchman has endured an injury-plagued campaign, and has not featured since January 9, but manager Arsene Wenger is happy van Persie has sufficiently recovered from a thigh problem to be in contention.

Emmanuel Eboue - who can play in Europe despite his domestic ban - was also on the plane as part of the 18-man squad which left Luton Airport on Monday afternoon. However, centre-back Kolo Toure (knee) and midfielder Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) were not match fit and did not travel.

Alex Song (knee) and Johan Djourou (groin) remain sidelined, while striker Eduardo will miss the rest of the campaign after suffering a broken leg.

Come on Van Persie!!! Great news.

Although I doubt he will get much of a game - seeing as he has been out for so long.

Great time for him to come back though - Please don't let him get injured again.

Van Persie is a MASSIVE lift for Arsenal. Looking forward to tomorrow. Gonna record the Goons match and watch the United one. I WISH that ITV wouldn't flash goal news across the screen when the games were on, really pisses me off.

COME ON GOONERS! ARSENAL TO GO THROUGH! :)

I can definitely see you lot Winning tomorrow, you lot have had a little blip and need to prove something and i think that will be the case a good 1-0 win i think :)

We're also in a blip and have been resting for this match since the first leg. Kaka, Pirlo and Nesta WILL play. San Siro sold out around 79, 000.
Seedorf is out, which is great news for us as that means Ambrosini will start. Ambrosini in Europe has been incredible - he gives us a lot of cover and confidence in the midfield.

Nah, Milan will score within the first ten minutes, then soak up all the pressure and tension in the match by playing it around and diving to the floor for the next 80.

Still bitter eh? Afraid there was no pressure from you lot in 2006. ;)

I think the 3-0 victory was more of a psychological win. Our players were 20x more confident and I think that game was also the result of very strong fan support. Playing at San Siro is very intimidating for CL ties, thats where we get our strength. The only exception was Barca but we weren't outplayed and they went on to win it. But in the last 4 years we've had 4-1 against Bayern, 3-1 Lyon, 1-0 United and 3-0 United.

Ps- Dida doesnt start. Even before his injury he was pushed out by Kalac's great form.

Good luck Gooners should be a much better match than the 1st leg however if I was a betting man I'd have to back Milan, the beating they gave the mancs last season made me sit up and appreciate their quality in Europe even more so than before, you'll have done exceptionally well if you come out of the San Siro with a result.

4-5-1 in the San Siro tonight guys.

-------------Almunia

Sagna --- Gallas -- Senderos ---Clichy

----------Fabregas---Flamini

Eboue--------------------------Diaby
