Arsenal Thread

sorry mate for my embarrassing post! i'm verry angry because this hard tackle on eduardo! naturally, no deserve to die, but he need ban for playing football to end of life!
sorry for my verry poor english...

It's ok mate, heat of the moment - I understand. :))

Awful to see in football, there's just no place. I have no doubt he was just 'getting stuck in' but it's a disgrace. Best wishes to Eduardo, feel so bad that he'll miss Euro for Croatia. Wenger was obviously over the top but he has a point, I mean it's just uncalled for, over the top and nasty.

OhSnap!...
Arsenal needs some reinforcements or some1 that comes back from injury rly fast. :((

They both have really tough fixtures! Especially the last 4.

Manu: Boro away is always tough, add to that liverpool at home and possibly a decider for the final game. Aston Villa are strong aswell.

Arse: Chelsea and Bolton away are both tough, then Liverpool at home and finally Manu away!

Wouldnt be able to say who would get the most points from those matches....Hopefully Liverpool :D

EDIT

Didnt realise that you didnt post all the fixtures......you should just post the complete list to better show were you might win/drop points.

near the end it depends how how in the CL both teams are at

Remind me of David Busst...and he never played again after his injury. If Eduardo will not play again, then Taylor deserves a life ban.

He may not have meant to break his leg - but he went in for that challenge and went for the player and not the ball.

Players need to be severley punished for stuff like that. Teams just can't kick other teams about - because stuff like this happens - thankfully very rarely, but they do happen.

It was overly aggressive challenge - he should be punished acordingly - He has to take responsibility for what he did and should get a very long ban and a huge fine.

He shouldn't be banned for ever though - a season maybe.

When I see the game I will make a better observation.

I can't imagine any player would mean to ruin another players career - if it is found that another player did they should get locked up!!

But he made a mistake - just like people do when they kill people by accident - manslaughter. they get severe punishments - and I think if he meant to foul Eduardo - he should get a hefty punishment. Financially and regarding his career.

Then maybe smaller teams first tactic wont be to stop the bigger teams by any means possible - usually kicking the crap out of them and doing stupid tackles.

It looks from one angle like he's almost severed the foot off!

Shocking injury, but as most sane people are saying, these things happen in football, and there is no way Taylor could possibly have meant to do that.

Shame for Eduardo, he's one of the few Arsenal players I actually like.

The strange thing was that it happened so early in the game, in only the third minute, so I doubt Taylor did it out of frustration or retaliation. I think it was more mis-timed than malicious and I doubt Taylor is the sort of player that would go out and deliberately try and injure someone. I still think he'll be severely punished, though.

They tell there players to get stuck in straight away and let them know your there. ALOT of players do it and the tackles are dreadful. But its everynow and again those tackles end up this way.

Basically if you go in and do those sort of tackles - then if it goes severely wrong it is your own fault and you should put your hands up and take whatever punishment befalls you - and it should be hefty.

Lots of famous big players do the same things week in week out - but if it goes wrong whos fault is it? - Certainly isn't the players whos career could be over - its the person that made the stupid challenge.

Therefore something serious needs to be done.

See what you mean. :)) We have had quite a lot of bad tackles this season, more than previous seasons.

But at what point do you decide to ban someone? Just because a player gets injured or for the intent? Ive seen Essien tackles that have looked far more sinister and have looked to have far more intent, same for Gerrard in his younger days, yet because the other player hasnt gotten injured some of these tackles havent even been punished with a card.

From what Ive seen of it, also the vid on youtube and the players reaction, it doesnt look at all like he meant it. Looks more a case of poor timing from a "crap" player on a fast player with the result being horrible.

u know its football, not thuggery. Tackling does not mean Kicking or hitting or pushing but thats wat EPL has become. i'm not blaming only taylor or any1 but the whole EPL has become like that. and if 1 team tries to play the real football with GOOD tackling they have to bear the brunt of these kind of injuries. its not that Arsenal players dont tackle badly but this is a team which i think with some other teams like ManU and Liverpool has tried to play some good and real football.

i guess our season is over. If Van Persie doesnt come for San Siro Match we'll surely lose. I dont trust Adebayor and Bendtner Combo. and for EPL, i dont think Adebayor alone can do anything. We need some1 good with him. Or lets hope for bendtner or walcott to play exceptionally well. Or we rely on our bad old formation of 4-5-1.
