Arsenal Thread

Almunia got you lots fooled he makes a meal out of a save...just because he dances like a ballerina doesn`t make him good I say he`s average ....I was wrong about Phil though so take it w/ a grain of salt

I do think the squad like Al better he doesnt push you like Lemon

@ Beboq I told you Big Phil would come good. He's a confidence player, once he got a run in the side I knew he would do pretty well.

As for Almunia I think you are being a bit harsh. He's not spectacular but he is pretty steady, doesn't really make any mistakes anymore. I would put him in over Lehmann everytime. BTW rumours are that Robert Green will be on his way to the new home of football in the summer. Watch this space!

wow! Green, now, that is great news Oh! Happy Days....!! When Jesus walk....

ok! ur right Clockender abit harsh (I'm stuck at France '06 final)

I don't think either of them are bad keepers, just not great ones. Almunia over Lehmann just because of personality really. Any half decent keeper could have a decent season with us this year, neither of our keepers has done anything worth noting really, apart from a couple of decent saves from Manu.

It would be good to have an English keeper again, still waiting for big Dave's replacement.

"With key players such as Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor, Mathieu Flamini, Robin van Persie, Manuel Almunia and Tomas Rosicky either unavailable or doubtful." If all them are missing it could be a long night for you lot, especially if Ade dont play

Yeah - If we don't have Sagna and GLichy I think we will lose to be honest - our defence will be way too weak without them two. Hopefully they can prove me wrong.

Looks like both teams are going to make changes for the team, because of their Champions League ties. Consequently, Saha might play a part tommorow but Rooney will be back and will presumably start, and he's got a decent scoring record against you lot. :) Good to see Evra back as well. He'll be much more of an attacking threat than O'Shea. You lot have nearly got a whole eleven injured/doubtful, I think.

"[Emmanuel] Adebayor has been an excellent player for them and scored many goals.

"But we also have many great players and we just have to keep our confidence and we can win the league.

"I think our team has better wingers and better forward players. In midfield as well
Manutd never praises Arsenal ok! Gallas is captain but Manutd whole squad are talking smack Tevezs,Giggs, Harvo ....etc ;)

He has a decent diving record too :)

The "diving debate" is SOOOOO boring now - it's been done a MILLION times. EVERY team on the planet has them sadly. Move on...

I agree, the diving debate is old. All teams have them, United have them, Arsenal have them, Chelsea have them, and, yes, Gerrard also dives. And Torres used to do dive sometimes in La Liga as well.

Today's match should be brilliant, can't wait for it!
