Arsenal Thread

I can't wait for the Milan game lads - I'll be supporting you lot because:

1. Milan have won enough European Cups; they don't deserve to win it this season on their performances in Serie A either.

2. It keeps you lot in two competitions - if you get knocked out early you only have the Prem to concerntrate on and if that happens, you do have the team to stay top and win it.

3. It's good for European football in general if Milan don't reach yet ANOTHER final. Be great to have a final played between two teams who haven't won the trophy for years (or ever) i.e. Arsenal v Inter.

I agree, it would be wonderful to see such a final between teams who haven't really done well in this competition. But not at the expense of Liverpool ;)

Arsenal vs Lyon sounds just about right ;)

Champions League has nothing to do with the League,it's not because you are not good in your league that you don't deserve to win the champions league..2 things Completly different

Anyone here read about your ex-captain Gilberto having a swipe at Nani for showboating?? I think he should worry more about how he is carrying himself these days.He was literally a passenger throughout the game,playing with no heart at all.

Bhai (;)), I don't remember myself rubbishing the Premiership?

Anyways, yes, the CL is all great for the romance, but Liverpool were NOT the best team in Europe in 2005, neither were Milan in 2007. Barca were because they not only won their League, but also the CL, due to which I call them one of the few deserving winners of the CL, as there were actually the BEST team in Europe.

But still, I won't refuse a spot in the final in 2007, when all other trophies are gone ;)

Thats how all great teams are Macky...one defeat is nothing to mull about.We move on,there is always a bigger fish to fry out there.I guess thats how you people are like in your side of Manchester innit? For a start,I bet you still have wet dreams on that deflected goal Giovanni scored against us?! I mean,its still on you avatar rite...;)

Alain is right in what he is saying here - I just think that Milan are very poor (by their VERY high standards) so far this season - I watched highlights of their Serie A match on Channel 5 yesterday afternoon; they looked stale. Of course, they will step-up their game in Europe because they are more than capable of winning it again, I just hope they don't. I'd love to see Inter win it this year if United don't.

They haven't won it for 42 years now, and if a justice exists in football other 42 years will be gone before they win it again. :lmao:

Just joking of course. Inter has a great squad and they will surely win Serie A again (not without a lot of arguments, if some of you follow Serie A know what I'm talking about) but, I don't know why, they don't seem that good when it comes to Europe.

I really hope in a Milan - Liverpool match, maybe not in the final but in an earlier stage. It would be great to face them again.
 
capello told italian press that Arsenal not playing the best football in europe and the proof is you just got to stop cesc fabregas and the team is done.
 
Milan-Liverpool has always been balanced.

We've been placed as the underdogs for Wednesday's game by bookmakers. I wont be too upset if we lose, our season has been poor, and our keepers are injured.
 
plan m your logic is absurd... the best team always makes it to the finals of the champions league.. as we always see it.. like ac milan vs liverpool, barcelona vs arsenal... the best team that plays the well during the competition...

whoever wins the champions league regardless of domestic form are deserving and rightful winners...
 
nah... man I got to agree with capello, if you stop fabregas you stop arsenal,they can play good versus mid table premier league teams but were gonna play against the European champions,I fear another lost like this weekend.

I am gonna record the Arse match on Virgin + and watch ours. Should have tickets for Lyon at Old Trafford if my uncle can't go! \\:o/
 
almost like what Chelsea went through . They use their 3rd keeper who actually was a blessing , but I Imagine a steady attack sometimes gk are there for the support
