Arsenal Thread

You struggled though. If Heskey wasnt such a potent waste of space, you wouldnt be sitting there with a smile on your face. Fluky wins by both london clubs tonight.

Sign of a good side, winning when you are not at your best. You should know all about that!

 We should know all about that huh! ah thats a good one! You must have mistaken us for chelsea. If you havnt noticed we have the best goal difference for most goals scored in the premiership. Hardly a sign of a team who win when not at their best. Also your little win tonight has only closed the gap to 15 points between Arsenal and United, so I would be too cocky.

Now I would just like to ask you gooner fans a few questions without anyone jumping into a fit. I was wondering if you patsies thought Henry's days are numbered with arsenal after his recent spat with Monsieur Noncealot? Also this attitude that he carries which shows he thinks he is the club. For example when he used his newspaper column to say that arsenal had to buy in January and even took it upon himself to say what players were needed as if he was the one who makes the final decision around Arsenal. His cheerleading theatrics for the cameras just to prove a point the other week against Tottenham was OTT don't you think? Now do you regret not cashing in on him in the summer when he is just reaching his 30's and slowing down? Or do you think Arsenal should continue to pander to his every whim in fear that they would become just another team without him? Feel free to discuss.
Henry is a legend....no doubt he loves the club. I think other clubs will love to have him(loyalty) and the so called "theatrics" Titi has been with the club winning and losing. He also knows the Big wigs state of mind;) I won`t jump into conclusion just yet that premature ATM nonetheless we retired Dennis Bergkamp and we will retired T. Henry

yeah, you guys should be fine. Looks good for british clubs except 'pool, but with their defensive style I could see them smothering barcelona, and certainly rafa knows a thing or two about beating them.

Well we have to be happy with that! PSV are a good side but we should be able to overcome them over 2 legs. I am quietly confident.

Yup clockender, not the same team from 2 seasons ago. Look who they've sold on... Kasper Bøgelund, Young Pyo Lee, Ji Sung Park, Mark van Bommel, Remco van der Schaaf, Johann Vogel, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Wilfred Bouma

PSV can be a darkhorse like Benfica was last term. They have thier old coach Ronald Koeman who almost took Benfica all the way last season in the Champions league. But yes I would consider it a good draw for Arsenal and the rest of the of the english clubs besides Liverpool. They can all go through the next round if they do not underestimate the opposition and treat the game in the same respect as they would against a team like Real Madrid or AC milan.

They are actually stronger at the moment then back then. Van Bommel was the only real good player they lost, and there are alot of good replacements, Gomes, Alex, Salcido, Simons, Mendez, Kone, Farfan. With the experienced Cocu and Kluivert (if he stays fit) and some young talents like Afellay and Aisatti.

I like all the good talk about Arsenal...I feel we are weaker this year compare to last season.Last season we played solid in the CL now we`re a bit shaky and lack that confidence I hope it will turn around we seem to do better after January anyhow

Arsenal have looked better over the last few games - if you get a healthy result against Pompey today the Goons should be back on-course.

Celebrating salvaging a draw at the emirates seems to be a common theme this season. I remember the days when a draw was as bad as a loss to Arsenal. The standards have dropped since leaving that ping pong five a side stadium.

well... look at it this way... we're undefeated at the Emirates... can't say the same for Old Trafford can we? =P

Where would you rather be Mr chai, top of the league having been beaten only once at home in which it is your only loss in the whole of the season so far with the rest as wins. Or sitting 4th having lossed a handful of games away and scrapped numerous draws at home keeping an unbeaten home record in which you don't get a medal for?

Why do most Manutd fans sound so plastic? I remember when the fans were respected and oringal.Very sad how they keep trying to digg

Arsenal came back from 2 goals down in my book that`s called "perseverance" portboys were shaking in there boots hoping time ran out.Why because they were lucky to have thoses goals and they know it.AW leave Jeremie Aliadiere for carling cups or lower table clubs he was too nervous to perform.Adebayor is proving me wrong good show
