Well, HT, no worries, apparently a good goal by Mutu, but he's committed a few bad fouls. Anyway - I hope we can get an early goal in the second half (Reyes and Cole have got close) then close down Chelsea. Come on Arsenal.

Good match, well done Gooners, you showed that you were bigger and stronger than Chelsea today. Both Reyes goals were great, especially the 1st. There is life without Henry!
I`ve got to say, Chelsea were crap in the 2nd half, they didn`t seem give 100%.
Again, congrats and I hope United meet you in the next round!

What a stunning first goal and what a way to boost your confidence. You could see as soon as he scored the goal he got touches on the ball and now I think he'll be showing us what he can do. Absolutely stunning performance not only from him but from Bergkamp and Vieira. Edu did brilliantly too when he came on and Pires and Cole also had great games. Definately start Edu instead of Gilberto.

Great performance in the 2nd half boys... thats the 3rd time we've knocked those c*nts out.

reyes has officially arrived. after his goals, his confidence unquestionably grew and he started to show what he's really about. i'm very happy for him, he's been recieving a lot of criticism lately. now he's answered his critics.
 
Guess what I think is refreshing about Reyes? He smiles! He is a genuine guy at Arsenal, not like the rest of the arrogant, scowling sods! :D
 
Have you ever seen a Neville brother smile? Or Scholes? Or Saha? Or Giggs? :mrgreen:

Let's sign a petition to remove Gilberto out of the starting eleven in favour of Edu :D

You're forgetting Toure and Edu. Both would give a limb for the cause too. Examples of the shining personalities in the squad.

Great win. I'm looking to get the goals soon but I'll be going out in 15 minutes. I'll put them up when I come back, if I have time.

It was such a good goal that it made you join this forum and name yourself after him!! But what a fuckin' strike! That was for all those dick 'eds laughing at him for scoring that own goal against boro in the lager cup. FUCKIN' GET IN THERE!!!!! :mrgreen:
 
Good pieces on Pires and Henry that I forgot to mention today morning. Both are extremely well written pieces. Interesting reads.

Saw Reyes goal by the way. Absolute magic. Vieira's pass for the second was sublime as well.

What a great week. First Neville's little tantrum and subsequent sending off then, today, with Reyes scoring a his first goal in magnificent fashion. Seems our young striekrs have a habit of doing that. Henry did it against the Saints and, more recently, Bentley's exquisite chip against Boro.

As well as being a class player, one thing you don't find in many players that Henry has is Loyalty. You can see that he loves wearing that red shirt. Well done guys ;) I just hope the Liverpool players can learn from the example Henry sets :twisted:

V. pleased for Reyes, he'll settle in much easier now and it takes some happiness away from sulphuric an gives it to me ;)
 
Cmon get in!! Jose Antonio Reyes, pick that one out, sweetest strike I've seen all season! Do we have a new king of highbury? Second stike great movment off the ball and a cooly taken shot from a equally good pass from paddy. How many more times do we have to beat chelsea in the cup. 1st Half they played well but we created the better openings, good goal by Mutu, they had a goal chalked off looked legal to me, but with the offside rules changing every month the linesman went back to old school and just gave it because jimmy was straying a little. 2nd half totally different ball game, we pinned them in and two great goals from reyes to clinch the tie. Draw early on today, wonder who we'll get, most likely a tie with Man utd! :shock: :D

I was very suprised that Gilberto got the nod ahead of Edu especially after he played in mid week. It's a no brainer around Highbury Edu should get the nod in front of Gilberto. But I feel it's because Gilberto is a better defensive player than edu so it gives vieira the licence to go forward. Maybe wenger know's this and he's just saving Edu for the Champions League and he'll really let him loose!
