I think Arsenal will win handsomely tonight. Either 4-0 or 4-1. Basically because Arsenal are playing well and Southampton aren't

I wouldn't say Southampton have played bad in thier last 2 games, a 3-2 defeat at Old Trafford which could have very easily have been a diferent score and Maik Taylor Saved the brum on Saturday from a saints victory.

I think we'll win it by 1 or 2 goals

I must agree that he has done an absolutely brilliant job, with the defence he is being provided. However, if you put a goaly like Van der Sar, Kiely, Niemi, or any other great goaly in the EPL(of which there are many) they would have conceded far less goals.

Just re-read this psot and after seeing recent OPTA stats between Niemi & Lehmann, and Lehmann has actually conceded the same amount of goals as Niemi (15) but Lehmann has played 23 games compared to Niemi's 15. Southampton have a very good defensive parternship to boot. Something to think about.

I think he doesn't seem as good as he actually is cause he doesn't make elaborate saves. H ejust does the simple things like holding the ball instead on parrying.

Was Arsenal second goal contraversial or something? Coz i saw that there were two Southampton players booked for dissent straight after the goal.

I couldnt see anything wrong for the second goal all seemed pretty legal on the pitch. But I heard on the radio while watchin the game there was an elbow from parlour somewhere that took a saints player out on the build up to the goal. But didnt see anything from where I was sitting. But what a scrappy match we had tonight! there was misplaced passes everywhere, parlour in particular, had a horrendous game giving the ball away most of the time out on the right and gilberto wasnt far close behind him. Pires was magic tonight and well done to king henry making it 101 goals what a great milestone to overcome so quickly. His goals were well taken especially the last one where he just fooled the saints defender at the last min. and smash it into the top corner. Nearly scored a wonder goal before then but just shot narrowly wide. Saints put up a good fight, they played very well and had us on the back foot through out the night. Nervous and reliefed we got the 3 points. We are now sitting on top 5 points clear woo-ahh! :)

congrats to TH on his 100th and 101st, quite the coincidence that RVN had the same fate eh?

Thats slightly different though, RVN scored his 100th goal for MU, whilst TH scored his 100th Premiership goal. He is already on something like 130 odd for Arsenal.

Henry is the second quickest player to 100 prem goals although I suspect Ruud will overtake this when he makes it.

Didnt see the game last night, just wondered how your new boy reyes is doing , sky sports were saying he was having a 'mare up to half time.

He's doing ok, I think its to do with pace of the matches. He will come good over time, but needs more time to settle.

He looks excellent technically, has a good touch and quick feet. I have no doubt he will become a big star.

93rd minute though Nicky....he was cutting it fine!!

I don't care a monkeys that it was a dull game and that we "only" played ok. Its 3 points and exactly the kind of game we would have drawn last season. The longer this run goes on the more confident I am getting about our title chances. The pressure is on ManU tonight so lets see how they deal with it.

I still expect them to win though....

Didn't watch/listen to teh game. Couldn't. Got regular updates from a friend via IRC. Good stuff, thank God for him. Agricultural performance, I thought, from what I was told, but 3 points and that is what matters at the end of the day. First goal was offside, apparently.Strachan's pissed about that. Still, lovely to see the great Titi score those goals. Good for him. Only minor negative is the rumours are sure to start up again about those Real Madrid brats wanting Henry. To tip it off, they don't evne inform the club about interests, they tell a paper. Can't expect much else from them, now, can we.

On evidence of what I saw last night, he didnt do much in the first half. In the second half, he got more touches of the ball and gained more confidence. He seems to be awesome technically, good at running with the ball and very quick. I think he needs more games to tune into the fast pace of the premiership. Once he goes into telepathic mode with the likes of henry and pires he'll add another dimension to our fast style of play. I have no doubt our new boy reyes will be another great asset maybe as good as a pires or a henry. Working with great players around him in trainning should make him adjust that bit quicker.

Who said the Premiership is a 2-horse race? Chelsea are right back in the title-challenge now. Good win for them against Portsmouth tonight, and we are throwing points away. I`m not happy that we are losing, but the Premiership is becoming very interesting . . . .
As for you Gooners that are already celebrating the title, well, put the champagne on hold boys, there is still 3 months to go and you have to go to Stamford Bridge and play us . . . . .
