Yeah that is high on my agenda. Go to see the second leg of a second round champs league match and then more importantly see what that tosser from Southampton looks like.

I'm now going to stay on topic and ask what people think of the possibility of Carr coming to Arsenal in January after they hinted at their AGM they would sell him if it looked like he will leave on a Bosman. I don't think he's honestly any better than Lauren.

1. Steven Carr will not be joining us. I don't think Spurs would sell him to us. If its a Bosman though in the summer then you never know!!
2. I do think though he is better than Lauren. Lauren is a converted midfield player and has limited positional sense.

Yeah I also believe that Carr is better than Lauren, especially at attacking and defending. Im sure Loz would love him to leave. ;)

I would probably piss my pants laughing when they interview all the spurs fans to say what they think of the move.

You then get really touchy spurs fans if you tell them that can you blame the player for have higher goals that the carling cup.

Not been on here for a bit so ive gotta say "F*ck me!!" for the Inter result, Henry!!, feckin awesome.

You did look dodgy as f*ck for the first three games, but Inter looked like they could win the the thing in their first few games so....

All three English teams are good go thru but obviously ya never know!

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! Gunners !!! ....Oh how I love that we are almost at full strenght!! I feel soo much more relaxed that Patrick is back in the line-up marshalling the midfield!....

Rovers do have a good record against us lately, though....hope to break that tomorrow!

Yeah it's about time we gave Rovers a severe beating. :D If we play like we did against Fulham and take our chances then im sure it could be a cricket score. ;)

I'm confident it will be an easy vivtory for us.

Btw, does someone know what our next possible opponents in the CL will be if we get through, or will there be another draw after this round?

I think it's gonna be like this, meaning we'll be playing the winners of the Sociedad - Lyon game. :)

VfB Stuttgart v Chelsea
Porto v Manchester United

Real Sociedad v Lyon
Celta Vigo v ARSENAL

Bayern Munich v Real Madrid
Sparta Prague v AC Milan

Deportivo La Coruna v Juventus
Lokomotiv Moscow v Monaco

No I think I read on the UEFA website that there will be one more draw that will decide the quarters and the semis. Other wise the papers would have gone mental about a chelsea Manu U 1/4

uh ... decent performance and I'm happy they didn't equalize last minute like Leciester. We seem to create the most chances in football but can't seem to take most of them. All we need is two or three to kill off a team. Then on we can keep possesion to win.

GLad we're on TOP again though...that is sweet..now i can study for my final exams in peace :)

hahaha, yea ive got exams as well, but im already happy with a 3-1 victory, anyway, there is no way thierry would be moving, it just doesn't make any sense... it takes a lot to take a no name (well KIND OF no name) from an italian team and make him into the best striker, or one of the best, in the footballing world! losing him would lead to tragic events, like seeing bergkemp or ljungberg fighting for the scoring lead at highbury ;)

Ahhh it's great to be top again, even tho we didn't play well at all. :)

now I can do this again:

1. ARSENAL

Well the amount of times with been there we're getting fed up with it.

I think Thierry will stay at arsenal for many years to come, but what the board can't do is make the mistake of letting him go if a substanial offer comes along. Whether it's 50 million or even 100 million they shouldn't let him go, other players that have left over the past few years like Anelka, Overmars and Petit we've got good money for but their careers have gone downhill ever since, Anelka went to Real Madrid and didn't hit it off at all
and is only now getting his career back on track at Man City, Marc Overmars started out well at Barcelona but now he can hardly ever get a start and Manu Petit went with him to Barca and spent more time warming the bench than playing for them and now he's at Chelsea even last season he couldn't get a consistant run in the team so god know's how he's even gonna get on the bench now they've spent over 100 million on new players.
The difference between Thierry Henry and these three players is that Thierry has constantly said how much he loves Arsenal and how it's like his paradise and Anelka, Overmars and Petit never said anyhting like that about Arsenal, that's why I think that Thierry Henry will be a gooner for many many years to come.

Was it just me that heard Henry is to be offered a life contract. Please let it be true!!!!

Haven't heard that one, but its a good one!!

I heard it on sky sports news but they haven't had it on their website. They Must have got carried away by TITI declaring his undying love for Arsenal.

Exactly, you can just see that Thierry loves to play for the shirt, where as Petit, Anelka and co never looked like they were enjoying playing for Arsenal at all.

Bring on the Baggies!

Thierry is great, did you see what he said about Ronaldo and Zidane?

He basically said that the only way he was going to play with them at club level would be if they joined him at Arsenal!!

The guy is a legend already, he knows that he is hero worshipped at Highbury and is the biggest fish in the pond. He wouldn't be that at Madrid and I think he also wants a challenge. Winning the Champs League at Madrid would an achievement, but winning it at Arsenal would be making history and he wants to be part of that!

Henry is not going anywhere whilst Wenger is in charge at Highbury.
