Exactly, you don't pay millions for a 15 year old who plays for the under 21's at 18 just to send him elsewhere. A rotation between Ljungberg, Pires and Pennant next season seems likely. I can then see Bentley going on loan next season to become Vieras partner in the centre for in2-3 years time.

Thing is, I go to the Arsenal a lot, and the rumours are that we will sell him in January. Sad I know, but if we do, we have gotta trust Wenger's judgement.

Yeah look what happend when we sold Overmars and Petit, everyone said it was a big mistake, but he was proved right.
 
You can half say that with Anelka, although he started well this season he's never been the same since he left.

So we have gotta trust Arsene then haven't we? The only sale I was unhappy about was Upson, but Wenger ain't perfect is he?
 
It's a shame cause he would have been ever present at the end of last season what with Keowns injury and sol's bans and he would probably be where the great man on the left is now.
 
After Birmingham's last few games it looks like a good move to get rid of Upson, although the goal we gave away against Leicester was shit! Was really pissed off at that (and Spurs winning).

Let's hope that we can get a result against Loco this week (maybe with Henry, but not worth the gamble). Let someone else run their arse off for a change.
 
It was good to see Gilberto score against Leicester, thats three for the season now. Remember he didn't score any league goals last season, so he's improving. ;)
 
Yes, things are looking good for the centre of Arsenals midfield (with Gilberto & Vieira), but I still think that Ljungberg & Pires aren't 100% fit!

Thing is Zico is that his goals are masking the fact that he has been poor this season. I really don't feel he contributes enough to the team to warrant a regular place in the team. He doesn't tackle enough and can only play 5 yard sideways or backward passes.

Edu for me has far more attributes to his game and should be the regular partner for Vieira in central midfield.

Gilberto is not the most popular player at the moment in the Clock End!

You've gotta love JimJoeC. You give Southampton a chance in Europe and they blow out in the 1st round.

I for one was supporting them to do well, only because I had a Southampton defender in my Sun Dreamteam, but after those comments Jimbo, not a chance.

The Gunners aren't gooner let the chance of topping the group and avoiding the big boys fall away.
 
Well I shouldn't really be slagging Southampton as they won me some money on Sunday. Cheers Brett! :)

Anyway I think we should leave the name 'Southampton' out of this thread from now on. ;)

2 years previous we were 1-0 up against the scousers and continued to attack. We lost the game, hence the tactics last year.

I couldn't give a monkeys mate anyway....history books say:

Arsenal 1 Southampton 0

THATS ALL THAT MATTERS.

Hope you enjoyed your big day at the Cup Final, cos it won't happen again for a while.
 
Piss off mate, you have your own thread for your mediocre team. Champions league football, you couldn't hack it in the UEFA cup and you only got there on our success.

Getting a place in Europe from losing the FA cup final is nearly as bad as getting there through being a bunch of girls (FAIR PLAY!!!)

Imagine if Arsenal weren't the amazing team we was. The saints wouldn't have even ventured on to the continent for the first time in 2-3 decades!!!!!!

Actually got my tickets for the St Mary's game on the 29th. Can't wait to see Sol play the beatt off the park.

I am going too mate, they owe us one after the 2-3 defeat there last season. No Cole though for that game so Clichy will have to cover.
 
I imagine he'll be more than capable. However will Keown or Lauren be back cause otherwise Cygan could be pushed over if the others are available
