May I just make the point that Arsenal's young guns beat a Premiership club in the Carling Cup, but Man Utd's youngsters (plus a 15 miilion pound midfield) couldn't beat a division 1 outfit!

Long gone are the days of little Beckhams, Giggs, Nevilles, Scholes, Butts etc etc. The tide will turn and before anyone starts they're not all French. Bentley looks class.

Yes, it would be good to see if Arsenal's 2nd XI could beat Spurs. I reckon they could, but Arsenal would have to watch out for that demon of a striker - Postiga!

There's no stopping him now...
 
You're damn straight, but Postiga is something to discuss in the Spurs thread!!!!
 
So we've been draw against West Brom away. I know they beat Man Utd 2-0 yesterday, but really I would expect our young stars to sweep them aside.
 
Yes, I'd like to see Wenger run with a similar team, but I'm sure he'll bring back some older heads for the WBA game.

Listen I couldn't give a fuck how ugly he is, as long as he performs well for the club, and he has over the years. The guy is a true Arsenal legend. :mrgreen:

Yeah these are the kind of games that he should be getting a game from the start to give him more experience. I just think it's great that we've got some excellent kids like: Aliadiere, Hoyte, Fabregas Soler, Clichy and Senderos. And there's plenty of others...

Footy did you really have to mention that terrible result we had yesterday? ;) It's not really that bad tho, especially with Leeds getting a draw against Chelsea. (thanks Jermaine!) :mrgreen:

Now it's onto Wednesday against the Russians. If we turn them over and finish top of the group then it really will be fantastic, especially seeing as everyone was writing us off after the first 3 matches.
 
Still its four points dropped in two games which could be all the difference at the end of the season. Good goal by Jermaine against Chelsea though ;)
 
He's class Pennant. Arsenal are stupid if they let him go which I can see them doing. Wingers like him are a rare type these days. I hope he goes far.

Well hutch I cencerly hope we keep onto Pennant, because as you said, these type of wingers are rare these days. I honestly do believe he has a future at Arsenal on the right wing. Wenger's just sending him on loan so he gets some experience of top flight football, then he'll come back to hopefully produce the goods for Arsenal. :)
