Whats the feeling like at the Arsenal camp about Cole?
Is it likely that he'll go?
I'm finding it hard to picture.

Door opened for Reyes Real move?
Arsenal winger Jose Antonio Reyes' agent has admitted Real Madrid have always been interested in the player.

Reyes joined Arsenal just over a year ago and enjoyed an outstanding start to this season.

However, his recent drop in form has led to speculation that he is struggling to settle in London and that has prompted talk of a deal that could see him move to Madrid with Michael Owen going the other way.

Reyes' agent Jaime Rodriguez said: 'It was a long time, around eight years ago, when they first showed an interest and now the rumours are starting up again.'

Rodriguez implied that Reyes would be delighted to return to Spain.

'It is an honour for Reyes that Real Madrid are interested in him, but they know what his situation is and what is the path they have to follow.

'If the clubs can reach an agreement there will be no problem,' he said.

Home sick already....

He is potentially a great player but ~Arsenal should let him go and buy proper defenders and a keeper.

But heard a cuople of dys ago that they want to swap him for Owen

Jose Antonio Reyes has been involved in a radio hoax in Spain, where he was tricked into admitting his desire to join Real Madrid.

Spanish station Cope Radio pulled off the amazing hoax, by claiming to be Real's sporting director Emilio Butragueno.

Cope Radio contacted Reyes's agent, who in turn informed the Arsenal man to speak to the pranksters claiming to be the Madrid chief.

During the conversation, Reyes admitted to life being 'not great' at Arsenal - confirming growing rumours that he is not settled in North London.

Reyes later went on to say that he would be happy to join Real and that he had always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants had just denied reports of a swap deal involving Michael Owen moving to Arsenal in order to sign Reyes.

The former Sevilla man had himself said that he was concentrating on winning things at Highbury, despite being flattered with Real's interest.

This latest stunt is sure to anger all parties, and Reyes is thought to be considering legal action against the hoaxers.

Haha! =)

What a complete an utter prat! I couldn't believe this when i read it - made it worse in the The Mirror when they said that at the end of the phone call, Reyes' mum went on the line and pleaded the caller to save her son from his nightmare..

Surely Wenger just simply cannot play him now. You can't commit to Arsenal through their website and then retract those statements in a phonecall, abliet a crank one!

Goes from bad to worse.. and the summmer isn't even here yet.

I dont blame Reyes to be honest, yes, he has shown moments of brilliance in the EPL, but he is getting kicked about left, right and centre. Spain is calling, Jose . . . .

That is so funny. Arsenal have such unloyal dishonest players in their team. I think after the game against United where reyes held a beating by neville and co, his form and confidence dropped drastically. But what a moron reyes is to be tricked like that and allow his mother to join in to plead for help out of england.

This means alot, coming from a United fan, but you guys were simply incredible when you got going against palace. They might as well have not been there, wonderful attacking football. Looked like the arsenal of last year...notably with both Reyes and Edu on the pitch, which surprised me given their not-so-high opinions of playing with the gunners.

Just because Henry don't score in 5 or 6 games, and now Henry strike versus Aston Villa and now versus Crystal Palace

Thats cool I see what you meant to say.

Thomas do you think there is any chance that Rooney will overtake Henry at the top of the goal scoreres list?

It don't bother me what nationality our players are when we play like that!!

Still think its too little too late for the title, but if we can continue playing like that each week until the end of the season, who knows?

Congrats, you are the first team who didn't have any British player neither on the pitch nor on the bench...

You see this is where Uefa's rule on English/Youth Product players having to be in the squad/team would make sense.

I think we need to go to having the majority of players being English/British, with perhaps a maximum of 4 foreigners.

This used to be the case in the 80's, but it didn't work hence it was dropped.

4 Foreigners? Virtually every team in Premiership would be in trouble. This just wouldn't work. I also beleive its against european legislation as it would restrict the freedom of workers throughout the EU.

i think its just youth, and its not limited to nationality as that would violate EU labor laws...

Arsenal reveal new club crest for next season:

You can't just have a player hanging around the club just because he is from the same nationality as the club......if he is good he should stay if he is not he should be moved to another club......it is not like the english national team is suffering.

I just find it funny, thats all, the lack of English players in a once-English orientated football club (ie. Adams, Keown, Wright, Dixon, Seaman). But Arsenal were shite then, so I wouldnt want that "long-ball" era again if I was a Gooner either.

I really don't get this, we can't win.

One one hand you are slating us for being shite when we had lots of English players in the team. On the other you are saying its funny that there are a lack of English players in the team currently. Talk about a contradiction in terms!

Really not sure what you can expect when our manager has contacts throughout the whole of Europe as uses these to our advantage to snap up young players no one has ever heard of like Vieira, Anelka, Fabregas, Clichy, Ljungberg, Senderos, etc etc etc. Why pay top dollar for English talent, when a comparitive player can be picked up in Europe for a fraction of the price?? The players I mentioned above cost a combined fee of around £7million, equivalent to one Seth Johnson. You tell me whats better value for money...
