Fair play to you gooners, it was a cracking game and as you's have taken this defeat better than the last ones.

You'll still have a say in where the title goes IMO but you wont be getting it back and maybe for awhile if you's dont fix up quicktime.

I think its gonna be difficult for anyone to get it back from Chelsea in the next couple of years IMO. With the financial clout they have got, and an astute manager too, I think we will both be fighting for second for the foreseeable future. :( Depressing I know.

Anyway, whats the shame in finishing second to the club with the biggest transfer budget in WORLD football?

I'm not as convinced, as good as they have been this year, they've still won fook all, similar to the "arsenal are the greatest team EVER" last season and the start of this season, people hype it up before anythings won, everyone said that you we're gonna be the new dominant team but thats backfired....

Methinks it will come back to haunt them.

bbbybx - imo Cygan had a decent game compared to Campbell. Cygan didnt make many mistakes, and was winning aerial challenges.

Could agree more - I was at the game and thought Cygan was one of our better players (not hard I know)

Haunt them? You mean another Russian investing in the EPL?

I thought Arsenal were supposed to get shit loads of cash from the Fly Emirates deal. What happened? You could do with a few signings.

no all this "we're gonna win the quad talk" coming from chelsea and the media saying that chelsea have got The Prem wrapped up all ready.

thats what will come back to haunt them.....

IMO!

Yes this is true, but a lot of that cash is being used to fund the stadium. I understand some is available but for some reason Wenger is waiting until the summer.

IMO we need a top class keeper and a top class Centre back at the very least. Ideally add to that a striker that Henry can partner (Van Persie and Reyes just don't seem to go well with Henry, maybe its early days I don't know).

We need to tighten up at the back. Anyone for getting Tony Adams on the payroll for some defensive training?? OFFSIDE!!!!

Vanns predictions are always nearly spot on.. here's hoping! :)

like i say we like that newcastle side kevin keagan had, attacking well but defending a little gun-hop.

Yse Cygan had a good game, good for him but the truth is Rooney had his number, pace for pace he was licking him, aerial wise he was solid.

One thing that needs to be done is, Campbell must not be allowed to distribute the ball, he just does not have passing ability, just have him thier to win the ball and pass it simple, no fancy shit, and get someone else brining it out, Toure can pass so let him do most of it.

Also Cygan might have played well, but in the last few minutes he really fucking annoyed me with stupid long balls he kept trying to the right wing, at that part of the game ,long ballwas not going to fuckign work!!!

These problems surfaced ages ago, when we won 4-3, mourinhio said it straight, 4-3 socreline is shocking, its not good enough, we let in way too many goals.

Henry looks very tired to me. He has played nearly every game (including v Wolves) and it took its toll last night (of course Rio played pretty well too). He didn't have his usual zip or pace.

Oooooh its been very quiet in here since Tuesday night    . Such a different thread to the "Arsenal are the best CLUB EVER" thread this time last year. Amazing what can happen in a few months.

OIIIIIII! We put our hands up and were gracious in defeat. We didn't lose to no bad ref calls or Rooney's dive in the box for the penalty etc. Hands up, we lost to the better team on the night who played brilliant attacking football, and showed a solid defensive display. But obviously, if u want to be a c*nt and gloat like the time u popped yer birds cherry, that's your call ya likkle pickney.

On another note, there's news in the London Evening Standard that Ch£l$ki may be docked points - but only if Arsenal make an official complaint, and the FA find sufficient evidence.

Sufficient evidence? Come on man... They couldn't even ban Beckham or strip him of his captaincy when he ADMITTED to cheating to get another card so he would miss one of the friendlies.

All the blue fans round my ends are stating that the docking of points is the only way Man Utd will over turn Chelsea at the top. Would make for an intriguing run in to the season though.

On the topic of Cole, nice to see our players not coming out and stating their commitment (Ruud states his commitment at Man Utd everytime he is linked in the press with a move!). Every summer it's the same thing at Arsenal!!!

In my opinion, just let it be. If Cole wants to knock up the ho and jet set with that racist b*tch from Girls Aloud, then that's his call..

   Never a truer word said. Most of the Utd fans have been great this week but I guess there is always one who spoils it.

If Ashley Cole goes to Chelsea then so be it. By all accounts we could do with the cash.

£15m plus Gallas anyone?

We proved last night that we ARE still a great side and that we will fight to the death in the title race.

Ash's goal was a great team move right out of the top drawer. Cygan and Senderos played well and thank god Lehmann is back. Please Arsene, send back that clown Almunia to Spain where he belongs, in the Spanish Second division.

Next up Palace at home week Monday.
