I completely support Hutch and Ninjabreakz in this one. I'm not a fan of either of the teams, but they are both absolutely right. Grow over it Arsenal fans. It was a loss, it can happen to the best. There's so many games left, so many games to win or to lose. Spare your energy and just be cool with it. My best mate is a Feijenoord fan, i support Ajax, those aren't the best of times at the moment for me, but we both deal with that in a nice way. Do the same and stop bringing in useless arguments.

I know, because I am one of the most serious members on the boards.

I dont know. Manchester is actually pretty local but again, we're getting besides the point. Where are you going with this gloryhunting argument and how on earth is it relevant? I could ask you why you don't support Reykjavik Reds or whatever their fine footballing team is called, but it has nothing to do with the argument.

Who says I don't? I actually do support my local team and I support Arsenal and have done since I was a little kid in the 80's. English football has been on TV here every week since the 60s and has tradition here so it's only natural that besides supporting our local team in the summer, we support an English team in the winter.

I wasn't having a crack at Singaporeans, I was having a crack at the commercialization of ManYoo who have megastores, pre season camps and god knows what over there. Not for sale eh? Well I could pick up the phone right now and buy shares if I wanted to. Hope Glazer buys the club and milks it and the fans dry, you deserve it. How's life down in 5th place anyway?

Mate, you have got serious issues. Why do the fans deserve that? Why are making crude, pointless statements? Get this guy outta town.

Exactly, his sig tells is all basically. Go on and be frustrated somewhere else Jogi, we don't need such a negative mentality here.

Guys this is the Gooner thread, i'm going to lock it for a period of time if we dont get off this subject, if u want to talk man united go to the united thread, but be warned anymore bitching and i will report more than just jogi to the admin, which has already been done . . .

Fair enough, Loz, but I was making constructive comments about the Man United V Arsenal encounter, nothing wrong with that.

Yeah and i dont mind that, just all this bitching is getting beyond a joke. Like i said, as long as the comments are about the goons, and are constructive then i dont mind . . .but i dont want a flame war to start in here cos i'd piss off a lot of gooners if i locked it ;)

Nothing needs to be locked. The discussion was about the "drama" involved in Sunday's game before jogi brought up an absolutley ridiculous and irrelevant gloryhunting topic up.
Something's bound to kick off when United and Arsenal play each other. At least this is just about still constructive. How about you mod the United topic where Cal posted about 10 pictures of soup?

lol, yeah true, it wont be locked permanently, just til you lot stop slagging each other off.

Dear Arsenal supporter,

It was disappointing to lose on Sunday but I have to congratulate my players. They came out of this with a fantastic record of 49 Premiership games without defeat and showed they are a great side.

But they have a deep feeling of injustice. They are really frustrated. However you can only master your performance and that was alright at Old Trafford. I am convinced what happened during the game will make us stronger and more determined.

In my opinion, the turning point was the penalty. If you look at the possession they had in the second half and the chances they had in both halves, we were the better team. And at that point it looked more like we were going to win the game than Manchester United.

We had dangerous situations more than chances. With time going on I felt it was a good situation for us to be 0-0. They had to play with the idea that only a draw was not good enough for them. That would mean the game was much more open.

The penalty turned the game in United's favour and they are now eight points behind us in the championship. I don't know if the gap is sufficient or not but I believe we are a great side. And I want to start a new unbeaten run next week.

Thanks for your support.Arsene Wenger

Man City in Boro's coveted cup up next. Can't wait to see VanPersie play a full game for the seniors. This competition will bring out his true colors. He's scored a few crackers for the reserves and every time he's come on for the first team he has been deadly in my opinion.

Get over the United game guys. We all know they're a bunch of cheats anyway.

Could be an interesting game tomorrow if City play their full team and we pitch out the reserves.

:-\"

I wouldn’t get too wound up about Sunday if I was an Arsenal fan. At the end of the day, its only three points, you’ve still got a gap between yourselves and Chelsea, and eight between yourselves and Man Utd. If you'd lost in the Champions League it would have been much worse as there isn’t the margin for error in that competition. Looking at the table it could well be the matches you play against Chelsea that end up having more of bearing on the title than Sunday.

In the grand scheme of things, if you look at the performance of the top teams in England over the past few years there is no question that yourselves and Chelsea are most definitely the teams that are moving onwards and upwards.

We lost and while it was hard to take. Things go on. The battle was lost but we will try and definitely can win the war(The Title), in the end that's all that matters. Ferguson is hoping other teams have more courage against us now that the record is gone and also that his team starts performing week-in-week-out. OK fair enough, however I do not feel that the boys will crack up and if they keep the desire they will go on to lift the title. As a College Student, I have failed tests before but in the end I always pass the class.

Im not convinced on that argument, for starters Ljundberg broke into the Man Utd half and was fouled and many moons later most if not all TV pundits and replays show it was clearly a sending off, not to mention Rio more or less made out in his tv interview after that he could have been sent off for it, then he certainly did not have Henry in his pocket when he game him the slip and maybe should have scored had it not been for the quick thinking and good save from Carroll.

Ferdinand's greatest atribute for me is his ability to bring the ball out from the back, he strokes the ball around very comfortably and distributes it very well.

Noted is right, lets just drop this now. United won and thats that. Nothing can change that. Look forward I say. A lot of the United fans on here are doing a very good job of winding us up and some of us are taking the bait. They are the ones happy at the moment and rightly so, think how we would feel if we had played them, been the inferior of the two teams on the day and still managed to win. Over the moon springs to mind. So let them have their moment, it may be the high point of their season. :)

Man City tonight then, hopefully Van Persie will get a game. I would also like to see Lupoli as he has been scoring for fun in the reserves. Ryan Smith should also play, he looks a good prospect plus we should get a good look at Almunia.

Funny how one loss means our seasons over, but one win means they are back in the title race... abliet 8 points adrift :D... Anywho, time to look forward.

I was thinking maybe give Alumnia a run in the first team. I'm really looking forward to seeing Van Persie too... same temper temper and skills like the Iceman.. ;) Wonder if he would have kept his calm if he came on as a sub in sunday..hmmm. I wanna see the Lupoli too. Was a great prospect at Parma.

Remember the names

lol they just roll of the toungue dont they!!!!

Only saw the 2nd half, the 1st goal the first team would have been proud of and the 2nd was a great finish.

City we're a disgrace, 2/3rds of the senior team well beaten by the goons 3rd side...

Quality!!!!

I've enjoyed both ya games in manchester this week, cheers goons cant wait till next year!!!

i loved the way that the youngsters celebrated like they had won the CL. it looks like chelsea and united are going all out this year, i say good luck to them. i would love to see our youngsters up against united's so called "reserves".
