Well I am back from holiday now with bad news. I have it on very good authority that Vieira will be off, apparently he came back from holiday early, went to the training ground, cleared out his locker and buggered off to France.

Make of that what you will!! At the end of the day if he has decided he has taken us far as we can go and he feels he needs a new challenge then what can we do about it?? The players hold all the aces these days and at least we will get good money for him, which was more that Spurs got for Campbell.

Myles Palmer is full of shit but that's the story most 'inside sources' are saying is true. He's been with us till he's 20 and if he feels he needs more stimulation and a change of scenery and all respect to him (he's not getting any younger anyway). I still think Wenger has more than enough power to make him stay and things are more optimistic then they were two days ago. Still, we'll have to wait and see but if he does go, Arsenal football club won't collapse, contrary to the shit being stirred by some papers...

Unfortunately it is true, I know someone who works at the training ground, in fact thats how I knew about the story. I didn't even realise a journalist had broke the story as I have been away on holiday.

No player is bigger than the club at the end of the day so if he does go Arsenal still lives on. Arsene will uncover another uncut diamond from somewhere you wait and see.

Without the Vieira story, the red top daily trash papers wouldn't have a strory in their football section. I hate that f*ckin' "chief football writer" Martin Lipton in the Mirror as well.... He looks like cunt with a capital K.

So when does this Amsterdam tournament start? It would be nice to see some of these players going through the motions. I'm also wishing to see River Plate. Wanted to see how Cavenaghi did up against us, but he's buggered off to Spartak Moscow!!

Why didnt Arsenal join the championsworld usa tour.

The only thing it's good for is extra revenue. I don't see any point in tiring out our players by playing numerous world-class teams in friendlies. The Austria tour is a good relaxing tour for the club and then we can get some competiveness going on in the Amsterdam tournament. I much prefer it this way.

Butatista, yeah I know the story is what sources are saying is true and I have it on good merit that this summer's story isn't entirely paper talk and manipulation by a cunt tnamed Perez. I just felt like flaming Myles Palmer's everchanging opinions. I think Wenger has the power to make him stay but if his mind is mde up we can do a lot with 30 million (and maybe a part exchange too).

Iceman, last year Cavenaghi announced that he'd most likely be leaving next summer, so it didn't come as much of a shock although his choice of team did. Anyway, I wish him the best of luck. He'll be a star. Still a lot of quality players at River - including Maxi Lopez who could shine if given an outing at the tournament. Too bad they (and us) still don't have the amazing Vivas on hand. I'd give the no. 6 jersey.

Wenger looking to dip into transfer market

Think one will be Trabelsi and we might also pick one of the two Ivorian trialists.

One thing's for sure...

If and when that player is officially signed you will hear about it first on Arsenal.com.

...that's a lie.

HAHAHA! u made my day... that's soooooo true, i'm going to make that my sig...

I think it will be Trabelsi... that would free up Lauren to play midfield and cover for him if needed at rightback. Apart from the paddy thing, which i think stinks of tabloid shit, i think this team looks like it's gonna be stronger next season. So many youngsters coming through too - plus i heard we got 3 more Ivorians on the books. If they are as tenacious as Toure, then that would only be a plus sign.

On another note, u know that club where we seem to send all our loanee's... not west ham, Bevereen or summin in Belgium. Well did u know that team fields 10-11 Ivorians every match!!!!! They are gonna be in the uefa cup next season too!

I know what you're saying about Beveren, it's quite surprising how many AFricna youths they've brought in. I remember reading a story a whil back about how it all cmae about. It said that Beveren were in financial turmoil and weren't able to afford the salaries and transfer prices of European players so a official of the club (who's friends with AW and mentioned K-Lo to him) suggested they look around in the Ivory Coast. Soon enough, they had lots of Ivorian yuongsters training with them and some of them are very promising (Yaya, Marco Ne, Eboue). It's great for the country's football federation too as their players get valuable training abroad in better facilities and some go onto to make it.

After sitting around and watching Italian football channels, analysts say that Campbell has an 85% chance of joining Juventus, and Vieira is set to leave

They said Vieira will never go back to Italy as hes been at MIlan alraedy... so he wants a new experience which will be Spain for him.

Nah, i doubt Campbell will leave. However I'm not sure about Vieira, i remember saying all different kinds of things about leaving Arsenal during the last few years. Sometimes its "I'll never join united" and the next year its "Never, say never". So im not sure about that character, but for Campbell, i can see him staying and wearing the red jersey for another season. They cant let him go, he is officially their best defender, and one of the top 3 in the entire premiership. Vieira though, he will be a big blow, especially at his peak age. However, the money would be good and you guys could see some new faces at highbury. By the way, when is ashburton grove going to be completed and used for the premiership?

Parlour's set to leave. :l

Ashburton Grove will be completed before the start of the 2006/2007 campaign. It's believed that we will have a new kit for that season. So that could make it three different kits in three seasons. We're just a regular ol' United now, aren't we. The stadium's website has a cool feature where you can watch a live stream of it being built. Worth checking out.

last night on sky sports they said that Arsenal have won 70% of all games that Viera hadnt played s o if/when he does go the goons will cope which is how it should be, no player is bigger than the club.

Papers are saying we've finally signed Trabelsi. Although they're the same papers that said Veiera handed in a transfer request...

We'll have to wait for official confirmation but it looks a done deal. This is a major and excellent signing.

They'd cope without Cambell too.

Hhhmm I think that'd be a bigger blow.

Cambell would do well at Juve though, lol the italian league has even made stam look okay ;)

Maybe, Cambell is a tad overrated though.

Losing Stam was one of man utd's bigger mistakes..

He ain't overrated, he is a giant and alongside Ferdinand is England's best defender. He would do well in Italy (unfortunately) :( .

We'll have to agree to disagree there, Cambell is to me a much better defender than Stam, although I'll always like Stam if only for being part of the 99' team.

The only mistake we made was selling him to no money having lazio.

Yeah, Cambell's a good defender, a giant and better than Ferdinand. He's not in the mold of Samuel, Nesta, Ayala and a few others though.

You obviously don't see enough of him, the man is an absolute legend. He rarely has a bad game.

I'm a Spurs fan, so if i big-up a gooner, its gotta be true ;) Especially a Judas gooner :)

Anyways, IMO Campbell has been one of the worlds best defenders since he joined Arsenal. Well, after he got over that sticky start anyways. His performances in the euro's were nothing short of outstanding . . . .I cant remember anyone defender being as consistent as him, especially in the big games, when u know Sol will always stand up and be counted . . .

ROFL the funniest picture has got to be henry in slippers wearing the kit!! <<sandals?

The fronts nice, just the name bit on the back isnt as good as it could have been,

I like the new home. I've changed my mind about the gold line. It gies that Champion's feeling. I'd have prefer to have seen white on the upper part of the socks but that doesn't matter much at all.

The away kit is the one I'm worried about. Blue shirts are just not us. Nike should have just gone for a variation on the theme of last year's kit.

I saw him play every week last season.

And you still think he's overated??

a CB playing for club that didnt lose one league game, thats not overated, the defenders you mentioned havent achieved anything on that level.

He's the best defender in England by a country mile and as good if not better than anyone in Europe.

Don't get me wrong now, I think Cambell is England's best defender and a very very good defender;
Not the best in Europe though. That's where the TAD overrated comes in.
