Anth's 23 Mods // Gameplay v6.0 Released

Watched the whole Video, Anth. Curious how the creator act by his self on the Pitch. And I must say I am a little bit settled down because even you didn’t score against Atlético 😄
I am still hassle with scoring goals. I am at 8th position in German third league after 17 games in the season. My club president didn’t accept my apology that things growing slower in his team because I defend myself with the circumstances of our club lost the touch to the league positions for the required promotion this season that Anth‘ gameplay mod causes this.
Man I Must score some more goals or I get some more spare time to think about how real footy works. 😄
The difficulty to score goals keeps me still motivated to do it better. The point about Physical game means a lot in 5.0. I play with my Ps5 Controller and the Pad is vibrating every time a collision takes part between Ai player and My controlled Player. Feels a little bit like the force feedback on my gaming wheel when I play a racing game.
That said again and how much I like 5.0 I can tell you, maybe I promise you @millossobek if you have this GP installed you suddenly face another FIFA far away from your first experience with Vanilla FIFA 23. It’s the closest symbiosis between PES and FIFA ever. For me now it have the best of both worlds. I also like PES. So I can recommend playing with 5.0. don’t let the default FIFA 23 gameplay get your impression. New game here. 😉

I fully agree! The cam Angel is something I will try out too next match. I usually like the higher views to see more on the pitch. But for immersion this cam in the Video is great.
Sometimes more immersion can be difficult to play with, still more realism and more rewarding to see beautiful plays
 
Same to me, Mate! It varies a lot in different matches. Not every game is equal with creating chances. My for and against goals are 20:15 after 17 games. I find to play 10 Minutes a half is necessary for having a real Match experience and of course important to see chances on each site. Midfield action is just amazing. In my ps3 or Ps4 FIFA times previously I remember that when I played an season tournament with a buddy of mine we could choose a 3 star team and even than anybody of us wons the Premier League. Also on legendary Level. 🙂
And last but not least, Anth: you didn’t play worse against Atlético in your Video, Atlético just plays well. And that is because you teached them. 😄
I totally agree with this. There are certain matches that ends in 0-0 or me losing 0-1 or 0-2 and then there are other matches(sometimes even big teams) where I win 4-0.

Yes the 0-0 or the close losses are that what causes my league position and my less goals for and against. In default FIFA at this stage of the season I usually have a for and against goals by 39:38. :)) So huge improvement related to more simulation than arcade.
My 2 worsest game was directly at the beginning of the season. First game I lost 0:3 and second matchday a 1:3 loss. I was able to repair that early minus goal stand in the ongoing season. So I made a step in the right direction. The positioning in midfield and the AI´s defense and my own defense positioning is finally very well. Creating chances and use them are top with FUMA controlling. Would never go back to half manual.
 
I’m trying to work out which gameplay mod to use, and this looks good, is there any increase in fouls though?
I see a decent amount of fouls, some games more than others.

There’s definitely more opportunities for them due to the more solid physical interactions, but I didn’t actively work on making more fouls. I just worked on the physicality.

I tried to keep everything as balanced as possible so we aren’t having weird moments throughout the game. If you try and grab the shirt of your opponent now, it’s much easier to bring them down for a foul for example. On default you can smash the button but rarely does anything actually happen. This applies to the CPU also and this alone brings about more fouls and a more solid experience.

I will definitely try your mod when I get round to playing FIFA (installed it now, but I haven’t got a controller yet ha) I’m just awful at noticing the differences in different gameplay mods etc personally playing, so trying to figure out which one to try! (Been playing PES 21 for a while)

I know FIFA on video doesn’t translate quite as well, but here’s some more gameplay footage from v5.0. This was a good match, solid battle. Check out the stats at the end too for some reference to how the game played out.


Is that Co-op camera? It's the one I use, because it's the closest to PES' blimp camera which I used. I would imagine there are mods that can get the camera even further away though, I'm not too clued up on those as I'm fairly new to Fifa on PC. I appreciate the realism of the broadcast views, but I prefer being far away from the pitch so I can see most of it, it really helps on FUMA.

No worries man, it’s harder to recognise differences when you’re not familiar with FIFA’s gameplay. I’m happy to go into more detail about the things I’ve changed. There’s so, so many little balances and changes that I’ve made, all for specific reasons that make up the overall experience.

That’s Tele cam with the mod so I’ve just zoomed out a little from default. I go between a few camera options but I do really love this one as an option.

I've also been on the end of some thrashings too! I won't reveal scorelines, but they've not been pretty :LMAO:

After playing a bit, I moved back to legendary and I don't have any issues with shooting anymore. I like the variation and randomness of shooting. But I am still trying to make certain types of passes. For example sometimes my lobbed pass, lobbed through pass or crosses doesn't make a lot of distance even though it's full powered. I expect it to overhit and not underhit.
 
I also want to try and fix the long pass consistency. I find the long passes in general are quite often underhit even with full power on the controller.

Good to hear! Yeah exactly my issue with the long passing too (see top quote from other day). I’m looking into it now. That element is also in default, and I haven’t increased underhit passes at all in this regard, but I think mixed with the additional error system it needs fixing. Shouldn’t be too difficult to correct.

Yes, if anything is to mention what could be adjusted in 5.0 than that a little bit more umpf could come into the power of crosses and high lob passes.
 
I should have an update with the passing fix out pretty soon. I'm just balancing it out and refining it. When I went into the files to take a look, I found the reason for some of the 'quirky' passing mechanics with those exact passes (through balls and lobs). Tsk tsk EA...

This might be the final update I will assume. I don't see how else we can improve the game any further.
 
The passing update is coming along really nicely. I've brought in much more consistency and reliability into the passing mechanics. The errors are largely untouched, but the way they represent themselves are much more natural now. EA have a funny way of implementing their errors. A full power gauge for example doesn't necessarily result in an overhit pass. I've worked on correcting this quite a lot so everything feels more balanced.

Nice how are you seeing player stats play into this?

All of that is unchanged, it will be exactly like v5.0. Stats and errors are the same - it's just the way the errors are represented. We'll still see misplaced passes based on stats for sure, but we just won't see as many occasions where quality players don't connect properly with the ball they're hitting, especially when under no pressure.

Hey man, you have made an amazing gameplay, the absolute best out there. This also forces you next year (EA FC 24) to create gameplay on this style, by now we all depend on you.

Does anyone know how it is possible when launching fifa23 thru the live editor tool, then I don't hear any crowd chants no more..so weird..looked everywhere how to solve the problem..maybe somebody has this same issue?! Thanks in advance!

Never had this issue. Do you have any custom modules loaded for live editor?
