2006 FIFA World Cup (EA Sports)

they need to change the shooting. I hate the way they curl every shot. They power it like once out of one hundred shots and it still doesnt look right.

if they had a major overhaul on shooting id probably like it.

Needs a complete overhaul in ball physics, as well as play movement especially.

And as great as the career mode of the last Fifa is, it sucks to be so limited when it comes to tactics, why can I only choose 1 of 8 or whatever formations? Why can't I tell my fullbacks to make attacking runs, or stay back?
 
cheers cowden, im certainly going to give it a try. I think they have improved the ball physics and the net movement also no longer looks retarded it looks decent :)

I think thats the last ill say about this game until I actually play it, that and the fact im sure ill get flamed lol!

i know eh? just look at how they STILL have Brasil's Jerseys wrong, the font of Portugal Numbers wrong, and some adidas jerseys (Japan's for example) the number is still in the middle...the players look nothing like their actual counterparts....and the pitch and controls are just....awesome......LOL
 
How do you know the pitch controls are the same? have you actually played this game yet?

I actually think the 360 version will be decent based on that higher quality Video TG posted. Im looking forward to it and hope MS get the Demo posted up on Live before the game comes out or else its a bit stupid.

Watched the intro vid on Gametrailers and it looks impressive. They have got Beckham's Hairstyle wrong though! lol he has got longer hair on the game by the looks of it!

Dazfeeder, from what I have seen from studying those videos carefully the game is "Almost" PES ESQUE with the way it seems to move :) I like it! The shooting looks better this time and the whole game doesnt look poncey and pathetic this time. I think the ball physics appear to have improved a lot as the ball seems to behave a bit more like a real ball! (FINALLY EA have sorted it!!) as ive said before I actually think this one will be worth a play.

well we cant judge the gameplay by watching videos so the best thing to do would be to try it out yourself. I'll see if I can get it traded for my FIFA06 RTWC.

Well Rune, even the vids of RTFWC when they were first shown I thought it looked cheap and ropey and the shooting even then looked diabolical and the ball physics didnt look good and my worst fears were recognized when I got my 360 and that was the game I got with it! I was like hmmm this game isnt a £50 game! its more like a cheap £10 game thats what it looked/felt like to play. So im hoping again my instincts will be correct as WC 06 does look the part this time!

Im sorry but this game looks like ass. Yes I said this game looks bad, very bad. Im all for shaders and mapping, but sometimes they just do not need to be used. Last time I checked, my skin did not have the same plastic looking texture as football kits. What am I talking about, everything from their skin, boots, kits, armbands, socks, etc. has that exact same plastic look. :roll: Next-gen my ass, this is nothing more than a shine-fuck-fest.:lmao:

Yes I have to admit they have got that bit wrong. Im sure they will sort it for future FIFA's. Anyway in october we will see what Konami makes on the 360 wont we?

Are you sure? The plastic and shine thing is the new trend for games. I fear Konami will do it also with next-gen PES on both 360 and PS3. Hopefully it wont be as bad as the new FIFA's are though........

Its like developers say "Yay, shaders and mapping, now I can add shine to the soldiers ass in the new game we are making. It will make it look more realistic because we all know everything in the world (including the ass of my soldier) shines and looks like plastic." :lol:
