granted the game is 75% done but those goal celebrations haven't changed.

man got beat 3-0 rofl in a 5 min match v the cpu on seemingly level 3

Wow. Very impressed with the ingame menus from the PS3 gameplay video. Huge improvement!

Hmmm this does not sound to promising RE the PS3 version, WENB impressions:

GC Leipzig 07: Xbox 360 Version Shines

We are here in Leipzig and have played the game. A quick post while we prepare all our video content for upload. We have played all the versions of the game. From first impressions the Xbox 360 version of PES 2008 looks the most promising. The PS3 version on the other hand looks like it is behind in development, although Konami claim that they are both at 75% completion. The colours on the PS3 version also look slightly washed out.

Well...Konami said Pro 2008 was in production since the Xbox 360 came out which was almost two years ago. What have they been doing? The only thing that's changed is the running animation. That's it! Penalties are exactly the same - they need changing. The passing animation is AWFUL. Passing is obviously a massive part of the game, and if that looks crap then the game is gonna look poor too. FIFA's animations are so much superior, unfortunately the gameplay still isn't as good as Pro.

US, August 22, 2007 - Electronic Arts today announced a new online mode for their upcoming FIFA Soccer '08 game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The announced play mode, dubbed Be A Pro, will allow up to ten players to connect online and compete in the same game.

In Be A Pro, players take the role of a single player and maintain control of that character throughout the game. Unfortunately for fans of FIFA, the play mode will not be ready for the game's October 9th US release date (releases in Europe on September 28th). Instead, Be A Pro will be offered as a free downloadable supplement six to eight weeks after the game hits stores, says EA.

In the same announcement, EA mentions other online features that appear separate from the later download, including Interactive Leagues and in-game, downloadable podcasts from the development team.

Stay tuned for everything FIFA '08 as we near the game's release.

What exactly are you on about? Konami always said PES6 360 will be the basis they'll work and improve on. Don't over exaggerate. I don't understand how people were going to expect a non-pes game. PES was always PES and will always be and look like PES. Just like any other game with positive tweaks and improvements.

From what i've seen it does look like PES6 360 with improvements. Not a bad thing. Now all that is left is more info on all modes and for me to play it. I hope Fifa's gameplay is improved then this year should be a good one. :)
