i like the way ronaldinho's hands are how they are in real life when he does a flip flap.

i think they have player specific animations.

we will see the difference in the way c.ronaldo and ronaldinho animates.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

but what i want to see is ronaldinho's arms swinging around in tight spots were he has to get his way out and has to you close control or even when he is dribbling and throwing little tricks here and there because if you watch him his arms dont stay under control.

Just listening to the podcast now and there's soemthing I'd like to comment on.

Yes, suff is spot on about how screenshots are released, however, this has happened every year in the same way, and apart from licenced balls/boots, the final game never looks better than the pre-release screens (pre-beta, whatever).

Let's look at PES6

ProEvolutionSoccer6-newscreenshots18587.jpg

This screen was released in summer 2006, the final game looked exactly the same. The only adjustments made from this pre-beta version screen and the final game were LOW LEVEL PROGRAMMING changes (similar to editing), the balls, the boots, the kits. Once the final graphics engine is complete (I reckon this is about July every year), the only graphical changes made are kit updates, sponsors, menu logos, etc.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Didn't we have untucked shirts in pes 6 because that pic doesnt have any ^^

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

All I'm going on is that these screens were Konami's OFFICIAL PES6 screens released last summer, regardless of whether there was a Japanese version out at the time or not.

Your comparison, in order to be right, should be done using the very first screens of pes1-we5 in ps2.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

True, the first pics of PES1 looked more like ISS Pro Evolution but with better textures.

I see where you're coming from, it takes longer to develop the first game on a new-gen platform, but I'm going on Konami's marketing, and the release of screens fits into that nowadays.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

suff and adonis what exactly can i do to help you lot.;)
i want a mention in the next podcact:lol: :lmao:

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

By the time PES 2008 comes out, it's most likely that both Brazil and Portugal will not have those kits, however, these kits were shown in the screens simply to emphasise the fact tha Brazil and Portugal are now licenced.

As for boots and balls, Adidas and Nike release their new boots and balls in the summer. This is so that all the big players will start wearing their new boots all at the same time (start of new season) to boost awareness and sales. So it'd be pointless in Konami putting official balls and boots in pre-beta version and screens when they'll have to remove them and put new ones in the new game.

In this area, Konami are always up to date, so much so, they removes the official World Cup adidas ball from PES6 as it was too out of date.

Also Xbox 360 players will recall Nike balls in PES6, looking forward to PES2008 having Nike balls and boots.

Wish i hadnt lost all my french :( maybe theres a titbit or too about the commentary, even the suggestion that there is "more commentary" than any other pro evo game would wet my appetite

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

New commentators?

Christian Janpierre?

Canal +?

Who did French commentary in PES6?

Who did French commentary in PES6?

Christian Jeanpierre is the commentator of all latest PES, and Laurent Paganelli is the new one and Laurent work on Canal+

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

So Christian Jeanpierre is commentating in PES 2008?

If so Laurent Paganelli and Laurent can't be in it too, can't have 3 commentators.

PES6 = Christian Jeanpierre and Jean Luc Arribart
PES2008 = Christian Jeanpierre and Laurent Paganelli

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Aaaaahhhh

I hope Konami fuck Brackly and Brooking off, they're nobodys!

Fingers crossed for Motty and Lawro, EA have all the other big TV commentators.

Suff / Adonis

Any clue if the betas have been sent out to the press, yet? Riot will certainly give his view on it then shortly after he receives it.
