Also an issue on the graphics, honestly since i play on wide mode with the angle at 9 i have never given nor will i give a toss about what the players look like upclose, personally as naive aas it sounds, and as much as ive been pissed off Pro evo 6 has had me captivated for 9 months now, i play it everyday. all i want is the niggles taken out and the stupid errors fixed and im fine, i seriously wouldnt mind if the graphics were the same and the gameplay the same except for again these niggles to be fixed.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Hmm.. that shows only the first 500 posts of me.. It would be a coincidence if I just now posted exactly 500 posts...
Thanks anyway :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

No, after this next post it still stays at 500...
On topic again :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

You know id kinda like to make a evo-web forum team on evo...think it would work? Would take alot of planning but could be interesting

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Depends. If in PES 2008 there is an 10vs10 online mode, you can make great teams :)
I think, however, it will be 2 vs 2 and even for that you can form teams :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Yeh, take down peoples position and foot etc, create them and play games and stuff...could work i spose, could even post up the results for those who care

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

worth a thought i spose, could enter into the english league, ive got the superpatch installed and creating players isnt that difficult. Could even put the goals up, though i tried taking vids and on vista with the memory ive got it wont work, spose a .gif could work but not sure, give me a sec to try something

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I did a bit of experimenting, this is a .gif ive just made using some software ironically i dl'ed last night to post a photoshoped .gif (ill remove it in a few mins). But goals could be posted like this, not hard at all

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

indeed it would, wonder where to put the thread though, what subforum? Hmm, i think i should leave it at that last question tho, dont want to get banned for hijacking this thread :o

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

I just created the thread in the ps2 sub forum

Untitled: i just had an idea of maybe creating an evo team made up of forummers on my copy of pro evo and putting us through a challenging premiership and putting the goals online...maybe a bad idea but something to mull away the days before evo 2008 comes out

"Credit goes to Racingfreak92"

I don't want to presume to know anything, but I wouldn't trust info from a user named "Racingfreak92"... Not sure how someone born 92 (if that is inded supposed to reflect the birthyear) would have inside info into KONAMI. :)

Not to mention they seem to be making fun of KONAMI with some ridiculous games.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Honestly, seems that blog entry is a fake... but we will see...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Adonis,

When you mention that you are tied to an NDA until the 05th July, are you able to tell us waht game it applies to?
i.e., the name of the game... reason I'm curious, is that I'm still told by people over here in Asia, that Winning Eleven is out for the PS3 next month...?

Cheers.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

Just a little bit of info guys, the PES2008 "working title" is actually the name they are going with. I read an article in MCV this week that the re-branding is a way of building on a loyal fan base.. basically its to try and lure in the casual gamer and compete with fifa.

I can assure you this came directly from a konami spokesperson and that MCV is a reliable source, and i also work in games retail.

I know its only small news but still better than no news :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread

If you took some time to think about it, you'd realise its because you have more 3D character models on the screen in a football game than in games like the one you've shown. And each player on the pitch has a more advanced AI which takes up more processing power. Games like FIFA look a little better than PES but they dont have the fast pace that PES does.

You don't really have a clue what you are talking about do you? Ridiculous comparison, the FIFA comment is completely inane (doesnt have the fast pace? Wtf, very technical). Your whole point (is there even one? :S) is irrelevant given I posted a screenshot of one model in an "interview" and you are going on about player AI? WTF?

I'm still trying to find the positives here, I listened to what the guys on the podcast say and I'm sorry it simply doesn't cut the mustard. I think it's quite obvious the graphics aren't going to be true next gen based on those screenshots - if you think there is going to be a load of radical changes to the graphics engine between now and the release you are most probably mistaken. Let's just hope the features, AI and animations make up for it eh.

I could only hope they didn't release the PS3 screens along with the PC and 360 screens for promotional/marketing purposes.

If not, then these screenshots are definitely final in my book. I'm not buying the "bureacracy" story about getting clearance for screenshots months before. You simply don't use your worst screenshots in an official announcement. Whatever the reasons.

The hints given in magazine replies suggest that we are yet to see the PS3 version. And again, it won't be because one console is more powerful, but only due to a prior agreement with Sony or something like that.

I just hope the whole "game in motion" deal is up to the hype.
