People wonder why the Fifa shots look so good compared to PES until someone played with the colour/brightness on the PES shots...

Why are some of the Fifa "ingame" shots dark, over contrasted and over colourfull?? Will the green lightbulb under the ball stay??

It is a game creators trick to use darkness, the darker the more things stand out. Takes something special to make games look good in light, epecially realistic lighting and especially prevent the 'white studio light' look. At least the PES shots are undoctored!

I thought Fifa07 the game looked much different to the pictures but thats just me, also the GIF sniper made is pretty damn cool, be interesting to see what it really moves like, how would the interviews work, they jus make up what they say and stuff, will they actually have voices or will it be subtitled, will you be able to select answers, if PS2 version has fantasia mode that would be pretty sweet if you could answer the questions like out of a selection, like in RPG games. Whatever you say can effect how the manager, players and fan perceive you, might make you play more or less etc.

That picture of NBA lol how could they let that in still, so they basically erase loads of players in the background? Why? So they just focus on certain players, wouldnt it better to leave everyone in, so you can see how good their positioning is etc?

Fifa hasn't been good since Fifa 96 or whatever it was, and that was only due to the complete lack of competition. But you all knew that...........

But this is not the 'Knock Fifa thread' now is it?

It reminds me of the graphics on Virtua Tennis. Great, but (in motion especially) not quite right. Like an action figure.

But still, better than the days where the only mouth movement was wide open and shut. Running around celebrating like Pacman.

So, will there be a stadium editor or not?

Not sure if this has been confirmed.

I am still holding on to the last minute to get myself a PS3 for this game.

And please stop posting EA sports crap on this thread. It's amazing how all of EA's sports games are crap. The graphics as always, look very attractive to some extent, however, they never translate to greatness ingame. Not to mention their gameplay. EA is all about "gimmicks" guys. Just look and play their latest Madden product..It's full of them. Not to mention full of bugs as well. I'm sure FIFA won't be any different. Guess what EA is bragging about as a new added feature this year...you guessed it..."Dribbling skills". LOL! this company is so pathetic to say the least.

EA is all about gimmicks, gimmicks, gimmicks!

When will they learn. No offense to anyone ;-)

Roll on PES2008!!!

EA are loosing it with a few of there games

i used to always get nba live, but i went with 2k7 on the ps3 and its so much better than EA's nba !

2k8 will be bought also !

definately done on fifa 08 aswell when i saw fifa 07 shots i thought they look quite ok but player models shit , when baught the game it was alot different the jerseys were awful , no blurring of crowd to make it look good. what fucking cheating shits. konami tell you it straight and you know they will look overall more real than EA. i mean real not fucking glosseed up and shiny crap like fifa but realistic , some may prefer fake shots not like real life but pes is the only real sim here in gameplay and graphics.

No you weren't ajaxforever. There wasn't a SINGLE person who even suggested he might be making stuff up, and if you did - it certainly wasn't at the time. I think there was only one person who called BS and that person is now banned :)

Edit: actually you are right you did, fair play. It looks like there was a couple of people that weren't duped!

Yes, and if only 2k Sports would create a futbol sim for us fans. I am pretty sure they would build a nice playable game engine for us to enjoy.

I played Madden 08 and I can honestly tell you that that game with no licenses called Allpro Football 2008 is 10 times more realistic and fun than EA's poor attempts.

Back on topic, and I ask again, has the stadium editor been cofirmed yet for PES2008?

jflores, no of course it hasn't been confirmed because it would be on the news page, the blog and we'd have screens etc.

The only person who mentioned a stadium editor is Fremm who has now mysteriously disappeared, make of that what you will.

damn man you took long to realise that. Since NBA 2K started on the Dreamcast it was always better than the NBA live games!!

Also to everyone on the EA bashing, yeah they have put out some shocking games but jeez Konami are not perfect you know. They have put out there fair share of buggy/shit product.

lol! ok thanks friend. It's sad how some folks show up in this forums, spill some great news that excites us all, and then just poof! gone.

I certainly hope that a stadium editor is in there. That would be a great tool to have.

Yeah Konami never mess around with screenshots.

Remember when the idiots swore this was actuall gameplay footage for the Pes6 on the Xbox 360.

minus the sweat and the fact that it is rendered it is not that far off what we actually see. maybe the kit texture is a bit higher resolution, but the playermodels look even more detailled in the actual ingame footage of pes 2008.

Apparently, according to a russian forum there are vids floating around from a french event of pes2008 but they got taken down from pestv

This forum is reliable in my opinion

We arent really that far off in this generation. Maybe with PES 2009 they will change the GFX engine (like they did from PES2 to PES3) and it will look something near that. I dont think it should be ruled out as a possibility in the future of 360 and PS3.

So what's going on, no news? Your well informed informers ran out of gossips???? Or they are playing Bioshock????

:-k That's a hard one man...

I would like to have both, but if I could only choose one, I would have to go with the net physics. If you have played FIFA's games, you will see and feel how unrealistic it is to smash one into the net and not see any reaction from the nets. It's so dull and lifeless. Even with a stadium editor and all, it would be kind of boring and senseless to create a beautiful stadium, with beautiful lushious green pitches, and great goal/net styles, only to see how unrealistic and lifeless the net animations are.

Kind of pointless really, which is why I would choose the Nets physics.
