jflores :) I pretty much knew your answer already, I think exactly the same. I really can't see it happening this time around though, it looks like they've played with the nets a bit but there are still breeze blocks so im doubtful theyve bothered with realistic net physics. I think the reaction of the nets and the sound effects when scoring are really underestimated in terms of importance to the realism of the game, if you score a goal and the net really bulges and the crowd roars it would be a fantastic feeling and that much closer to reality

i'd rather net physics also, however only if they dont include those silly white blocks in every goal!!

also cant believe the best net physics are still a three/four year old game on the last generation - football kingdom!!

mee too - i bought football kingdom on the back of the net animations. thats how important they are. every single goal scored seemed so realistic, like watching tv!!

I was also tempted to get FK just to see what it's like, but then I realised it would just make me even more annoyed when playing PES and shooting into what is more or less a white brick wall.

The nets and pitches are so important but Konami put NO effort into them, it really annoys me because imagine if you had a basketball game and the hoop was square and the net didn't move at all or the court was completely the wrong colour, such features are not fussy little things like long tape and untucked shirts they are fundamental to the game of football and therefore it's scandalous really that Konami are still beaten all ends up by a game released years ago, even on next-gen systems it seems they can't get close to FK.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Agreed SXFuzz. I dont think they look right and I am not 100% convinced the movement they make is good either. Still at least they are better than FIFA's Brick wall nets from the early FIFA's and unbelievably FIFA 07 and UEFA CL!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

The nets are perfectly fine in PES6, on the 360 anyway.

Have a look at FK on YouTube, the come back and say that again.

Yeah Konami never mess around with screenshots.

Remember when the idiots swore this was actuall gameplay footage for the Pes6 on the Xbox 360.

That pic looks awful, look at the sharp angles on his wrist bands! Looks like the PS2 version but with PS3 textures.

Apparently, according to a russian forum there are vids floating around from a french event of pes2008 but they got taken down from pestv

This forum is reliable in my opinion

Look at FIFA's nets and you'll be satisfied with PES's net physics for another 10 years. I don't know about football kingdom, but PES nailed the net physics years ago.

It would be amazing if "2K sports" entered the Football game competition... They seem to have the right "simulation" feel in the titles they released so far, as well as the graphical polished look of their games.

Ok, let me put it this way. If nets were cars, FIFA is a Vauxhall Nova, PES is a BMW 3 series, FK is a Bugatti Veyron. They certainly haven't "nailed" the nets because they only vaguely resemble real nets. Don't make me go to the effort of showing a PES6 vid and a real life vid to compare the behavioural differences.

I agree with this statement. PES did nail the net physics in Winning Eleven 5,6, and Final Evolution. Even the grass/stadiums looked great in this PS2 versions.

The only bad thing about those versions is that there was only one style of goal/nets to appreciate the physics.

PES6 Xbox360 net physics are great as well, and I would be satisfied if PES2008 net physics stay this way. Not completely satisfied, but enough to enjoy.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Okay, I re-ask my question: What can we do with 'Administrate Option file'?
Remove the profile, so that we can share option files?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

I can honestly say ive never paid attention to the nets in any version of pro evolution soccer...should i? The only net i actively dislike is the one used on the "internet pitch" with blue and white stripes. Other than that i honestly dont understand the fascination
