Great! :)
Are there differences between PS3 and 360/PC? Maybe you can ask that as well?

* Hopen kan altijd :D

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

Tnx freMM, hopefully tobi is right about the ML content being showed in leipzig as the rest of the comments seem to be going in the right direction. As for stadium editor, i remember fifa manager having it. In it you could build up your stadium based on "blocks" of stands. I'm not sure if they would actually have that in the game as its quite a big element to have in the editing section.

I would be more inclined to believe its mostly about net colours/stripes and net pattern (6 angle (like they have in italy), small squares, big squares) pitch pattern and possibly colouring, seating/stand colours and more that type of things in the "stadium" editor.

However an arguement to say its also a complete stadium editor/building is the actual creation of complete new stadiums for the pc version tnx to the tool released last year. Also the fact that people on here have managed to "rebuild" stadiums using the standard texturefiles could have also influenced them to have this creation tool present in the game.

Either way its a great improvement, even if its just the pitch/net pattern stuff availeble.

Also the ML comment makes it seem very reliable. Hopefully they are saving the "big ML" news for leipzig. You could also argue that the very large editing suite lends itself for a far more enhanced ML as its giving you so much more freedom. Here's hoping.

On a side note, just played a match of both fifa07 and pes6 on the 360. What a shit year it has actually been for footie games, neither of them delivered the level of control we had a few years ago and both were very frustrating to play.

Good post tiktiktiktik, the nice thing about these editing tools is that things can simply be stored in an option file. So even for the 360 and the PS3 it must be easy to replace an option file by on from here on evo-web. Great! :)

@ FreMM I am curously to the result of your call

Can't wait :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

The number of people having their mysterious "contact" is intruiging. Is this like a new geek fashion or what?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

Ok just called my cousin

* He didn't know if there s a difference in version: he only played
PS 3 version

* He did not see a Fantasista mode, but said that it could well be included in the final version, he received a beta

* He said that there s no need to worry the game looks and plays amazing. he got a 85% finished beta so it all looks very promising

Cheers

 I hope your right..I'll be gutted if they have not changed the ML I'll feel like I always do... I'm buying another tweaked version of the same game no matter how many more nice graphics they have added.. :-x

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

85% says to me that the 'pimped' ML is already in there and Konami aren't including it in the beta's that they send out.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

Sounds good, too bad the ML is still the same but that wouldn't stop me from getting this game, I do play single player/ML a lot, thanks a lot freMM!!!!

Okay thanks again :) So let's not expect a fantasia mode then. It is a too big feature and with 85% finished it will probably not in.
I got some more questions, but if he has the beta then he cannot answer it anyway.
I was curious about on-line; for 2 vs 2 or even more? But the beta might not have Network working well...
Another question about network is if any of the editing features can be used on-line, like a new stadium ( if both players has the same builded stadium in their option file...)

But again, I do not expect him to answer that...

I just don't know who to believe anymore. Mag says ML has been pimped, then a dude pops up with his contact saying ML still the same. I like the stadia and ball editing, but again i don't know if i should get my hopes up then another contact comes along squashing whatever you said. :(

Because he lives 120 km away from me :d

No probs guys, just tryin to do my bit 4 the community

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

@ Han, i wouldnt expect it to be possible to play with edited data. They have to lock it out for the team stats, so i would expect them to just keep it that way to also save possible lag (having to download/upload your stadium everytime could be a pain in the ass aswell as all the rest of the data (edited kits/balls/boots/etc)).

@ freMM, if you speak to him again in the near future could you ask if he can/has browsed the team lists and how many there are, with a focus if there are / how many empty team slots there are? I would, with the editing suite now in it, expect to have atleast 18 empty slots just for the bundesliga. Hopefully there are more. Could possibly hint at more teams in the ML.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

If he is playing a near complete version how come a mag more than a week ago said they master league has been pimped?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

Thanks for the info. Little bits coming out every few days keeping me sane. Can't wait to see it in germany at the end of the month. Despite the lack of new gameplay changes i'd still optimistic

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

freMM, when you say ML still the same, do you mean look-wise, or structure-wise? I mean, maybe it looks the same but they added little bits and bobs in it like manager movement, different transfer options etc.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

@tiktiktiktik; I'll give him a bell 2morrow

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

@Lami: it looks more "flashier" i.e lushier menus etc but the strucure (cups, games, etc) is the same

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

If he is playing a near complete version how come a mag more than a week ago said they master league has been pimped?

Maybe his contact is more realistic, with the added pubscenes/interviewscene meaning no change to him. As it would to the rest of us, wereas the mag thinks thats a change worth mentioning, describing this minimal change as it(ML) being "pimped".

Tnx freMM

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

It looks more flashier, but cups games the same. Hmmm... There has to be more to it then. I'm pretty sure they added other things to it which he wouldn't notice til later on in the league. I'll keep my hopes up then :) Thanks freMM

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

I really can't see there being a huge difference in ML come Germany. everything else sounds great but shame ML is still shitty..

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/01/07)

I went on line after some time and it was the usual crap. Lag all the time, cheaters, 99% of people runnning down the wing and scoring curback goals. With all the good games why do I have to play this shit over and over???

No matter how the animations are well done the game gets worse over the years. Master league the same, on line is gonna be the same laggy farse. I am done with konami. Have fun take care.
